- We finally got to see the Daytona Prototype Corvette in person. This is such an awesome looking car! This was from the opening ceremony at Circuit of the Americas track in Austin.

AMAZING Corvette. I am SO jealous! So badly did I want to make the opening ceremony at Circuit of the Americas. Only it's nearly a 10 hour drive one way & time wouldn't allow it. But I will be attending races there this next season. Thank you for sharing the killer footage!
Wow! Watching it on TV, you don't realize how loud and amazing sounding these cars really are! I wish ALMS and WEC P1 prototypes would use V8 engines. The GT Corvettes are SO much louder than all the prototypes. Almost all the GT cars are louder than the Prototypes, except in Grand-AM. I know noise has nothing to do with the speed, but it just seems like the faster cars should be the louder ones, at least to me

This looks like a Mosler MT900.
I don't see what's wrong with a v8 its a American classic and the ls line in Chevrolet is a awesome line of engines and they weigh less so less horsepower and less weight so in my opinion its better and also look at Toyota supras a v6 twin cam those cars are awesome but whatever its peoples opinions

DP's haven't passed ACO crash test. And since they don't have a carbon fibre monocoque rather than tube frame chassis with side pods, we won't see them in Le Mans. Even if other factors would make them eligible to compete in LMP2. Unless the invitational 56. grid would be reserved for DP...
