Thanks for another great video. We started using Teams a few months ago. What a benefit, especially as we're pretty geographically spread out. I wish the chat function was a separate IM client though. While I do get notifications, if I'm not watching the screen, they disappear too fast to be of much use.
Thanks, Leila for another great video! I like to use the default view in Teams but a lot of users where I work like Dark mode. They tell me that it is easier on their eyes. Some users were requesting very expensive privacy screens just to cut down on the brightness of the monitor. Dark mode seems to be the answer for at least some of these folks. Most of our organization uses the chat feature the most. I think we need to spend more time getting organized!

Hi Leila, I'm looking forward to this. I like your long list of topics. People are focusing on using Teams for video conferencing as an alternative to Zoom but it is so much more. I am pleased you are going to explore and demonstrate the capabilities of Teams. I would be interested in the document storage features in Teams and how Teams interacts with SharePoint 365 and File Explorer on the desktop.

Basic Teams doesn't come with sharepoint, so Teams 1st.
@@nm3547 Hmm. Thank you. I'm not too sure about this. Files in Teams are stored in a SharePoint site. For example, in a Team, just look at 'Open in SharePoint'.

I tried it and it stays unmuted. There is sometimes a way around it, sometimes not. The best thing to do about Teams is to dismiss it altogether, consider it discredited and listen to all the negative reviews on places like Reddit. Take it out of the classroom, out of schools and universities and out of the workplace, and ditch it.

Sounds like you are hiring inadequately qualified people if they are unfamiliar with advanced capabilities of Excel.

Hi Leila, i always check out your videos for excel related questions when i need, as your guidance is easy to understand & easy to learn or remember, in Teams Theme, i prefer default mode as i like brighter color, by the way, thanks alot for the guide, some part i didnt know it have the function, it helps me as a Teams channel owner & guider to my colleagues on using Teams.
just wonder if you happen to know how to create a numbers of person to send them the meeting invites in Teams, instead of typing their emails 1 by 1? Hope my question is understandable, as i not very good at words.

One aggravation i have not solved in teams is multi tasking, ie working on a document and answering another team’s thread or starting a call.

You can start the call. Then go to your taskbar and you should see two Teams thumbnail windows. Pick the one that doesn't display your call. Move the call window to another screen if working with multiple screens or use splitscreen if only working on one device. Hope this helps! Oh you could also create a second instance of Teams by opening both the desktop app AND the web application. Give the web app its own shortcut on your homescreen. This way you can for example take calls and communicate in the desktop app and do deep work in the web app.
