I ordered a 2500 Limited in September. If all goes well it’s gonna be built and shipped by Feb 14th. ( not holding my breath) the price is $101,064. If it wasn’t for my affiliate discount and the fact my current truck is paid off no way could I afford it. These truck prices are getting out of hand. But as long as idiots like me pay those prices nothing will change. Hopefully I love the new one and it lasts as long if not longer than my 2012.
When I bought my Ram 1500 V8 hemi night edition w/ sunroof and 3.92 rear axel 5 yrs ago, the price was around 46k and now, if I built that same model it's over 65k. The economy has greatly changed from yeah I think I can afford a new vehicle to nope that Certified used car is looking pretty stylish.
Ben did you see where Ram decreased the towing capacity of the 2500 that were bought last year, mine went down over 2,000 lbs from what it said it would tow last year. So some of us with heavy RV’s to pull to what Ram said our towing capacity was last year when we bought our trucks are in trouble.
This is nuts. I just looked at a very similar truck, same color, trim, everything besides the night edition and mega cab, they wanted 87k for it, and right next to it they had a 3500 Laramie dually with the HO engine, 85k😂 these dealers are dumb
At that point just buy Ford lariat with a high output engine 700 hp and 1200 foot pounds of torque for about the same price I don’t know why ram is so damn expensive towing and payload is not even all that.
I bought a new 2020 1500 Laramie Sport 5.7L in June 2020 for $47,000, half of what this truck costs. Probably the best timed purchase of my life. A bit smaller than this truck but the interior is almost exactly the same. My rear center console is a mini version of the front console, which I like better. And I prefer analogue gauges.
@chief27 well I commented on the 🐏 ♈️ 🐑. Don't care what he paid for his foreign suv. This is supposed to be a 2500 ram pickup diesel, which is 5-6$ dollars a gallon.. 65k at most
I had a 2015 RAM Laramie Limited Mega Cab. The most beautiful truck outside and the best interior. The truck was for shit mechanically. I only got 130k miles out of it and dropped $10k+ in out of warranty repairs and fixes. Almost 6 years to the day of owning it the check engine light came on: transmission failure and torque converter replacement necessary. $4600+ to fix. I traded it in next day. No more RAM trucks for me.
These trucks have too much technology which will cause issues for people who need reliability. Just going to buy a 2500 tradesman diesel and make any upgrades I need myself
Helllllllll NO!! 93k wow! Better have this trucking working for you for that kinda money lol I remember fully decked out 2500s were like 70s but wow shows how crazy the market is now
I wish I could get the new mirrors on my 21. You can get the digital display on the Laramie. Ram deleted a lot from their packages. My Fully loaded 21 Night edition HO was less money than this less equipped truck. I hope you are right about Ram possibly updating the trans for 24. That's the only thing I'd trade my 21 for.
Ram has been making the best looking trucks out there since at least 2019. It’s gotten so bad that the only thing close to as good looking is a GMC 2500 but those come with hideous wheels.
The Laramie 2500 is so hot right now, lol. Beautiful truck, I love that dark red but the white is really nice as well. You can live in your truck right, you don't really need a house...
Lots of peeps mentioning the weak payload capacity. Drop the diesel Drop the mega cab Drop the 4x4 Drop a trim level or 2 And payload would go way up. Reality is a bitch
93 and no digital dash 🤣 ram is stupid and I own one. Thank God I got mine back in 2020. If the good balls that keep paying these prices would disappear then the prices would come back down.
That 10k pound GVWR would do that to you. Crazy that this truck weighs 8200 pounds without anything in it. Even a SRW 3500 would only have 3800 pounds. Wild.
@@3katd lol your numbers are way off. They’re about the same as GM now, just did a 2500 Cummins limited, came out to about $96k, and a limited 1500 came to $80k..the Denali ultimate HD hits about the same, and the ultimate 1500 hits $84k…as for ford, they did a refresh on the 250 after I made this 5 month old comment. Build and price tools exist, should try using them sometime.
So the big question do i buy the house or the truck. I will take the house. Trucks today are so unaffordable who can afford a 100 thousand dollar truck no one i know 😢
Crazy thing is….what I’ve observed is without fender trim the fenders are almost guaranteed to rust. For that price I’m not sure why they aren’t included
I’m not sure exactly, but my brother in law has a current gen 1500 limited, and I have a 2022 2500 Laramie, and they both have tons of leg and hip room. I actually don’t think the mags cabs have any more leg room, they simply have room behind the seat for storage. Double check that, but that’s what someone with a mega cab told me.
@@METALITHrevetments ahh to me no new truck is good value. They are pushing 45k worth of truck at a 80k price tag. They are all loaded with junk that won't last
Of course to expensive, this is a flex truck, a heavy duty that has a payload of only 1800 lbs and turns around and says it can tow 16,000 lbs is a bit misleading, I mean it can if it's just the driver in the seat worth nothing else, I'm just thinking you are going to go way over the payload capacity of you try to tow that much but at least it is pretty 😍
The 23 was a step back. I think the 5th gen was the best in 2019 when they launched. I was in the market for a truck but I'll just keep my 4th gen for a while
@B B The CP4 isn't inherently bad. the issue comes down to fuel quality. That being said they recalled the CP4 trucks and are putting CP3s back in. a good fuel filter kit like a fass or an air dog would solve 75% of the problems with the 19-21 trucks.
It probably costs RAM about 30-35K to make this truck, add the options and then the dealer sells it for 93K. Highway robbery, this market is a joke.
Me being a trucker for 23+ years high Tq and medium to high HP is key for moving heavy loads. that and i luv cummins engines big and small lol
