JB I love your channel. While I think your comment “the Aisin is not the greatest transmission for people who don’t tow a lot”, may technically be correct, it could lead some to think it’s not a great transmission for daily driving. I have commented on your channel & others on this issue before. I own a 21 Longhorn limited MegaCab with the HO Cummins & Aisin & although it was a little touchy at first, after you learn it & it learns your drying style it is quite smooth. You can’t be lead footed with it. You don’t have to baby it but you have to put gentle pressure on the accelerator & lead the engine & transmission to do what you want it to do. Then it is very responsive & smooth as a daily driver. And once that turbo spools up it is off to the races. Plus it is a tow beast. It loves to pull heavy loads. I think it’s a great power train! Love the truck! Keep up the good work. Enjoy what you are doing with the channel!
I'm a big ram guy, but if I upgrade, I'm going with a gmc. All the prices have become ridiculous, but ram is taking it to another level of nickle and dime stupidity.
Their MSRP pricing is ridiculous however unlike Ford and GM they are selling trucks below sticker. I’ve seen up to 10k below at a few dealers. The majority of Ford dealers in my area are trying to sell trucks above MSRP.
@@Parker-ub8xuI got offers about $3K under MSRP from both Chevy and Ford. Ram will sell to me at invoice but guess what? Ram's invoice pricing is HIGHER than Chevy and Ford's MSRP for a nearly identical truck.
Hey from the South Carolina Coast. Just bought last week ( 10/4/2023 ) a brand new 2023 black Ram 2500 6.4 Night Edition. Bought from Rick Hendrick Ram in Charleston SC. Very big dealer with tons of stock. Listed for $70,150 paid $60,550 out the door. What a fantastic deal for a brand new truck. Wait until Oct-Dec to buy a new truck since all the 2024s were flooding the lot. They had to move this one quick. I have dealt with dealers all my life. They tried to only take off $2500 off list and made it sound like they were giving me the deal of the century, I laughed. I told them I was not going to pay more then $59,000 or I was walking out. After about 3 back and forths I agreed on the $60,550 out the door. Putting on Fuel Rims and 35 x12.5 Mickey Thompson Baja.with just a leveling kit. Gonna look bad ass. You have to stick to your guns with a dealer especially if the newer models came out. Great channel, love your reviews...
Since you know a lot about trucks purchases what about right now it seems like gasser 2500s are sparse on the dealer lots will they continue to receive deliveries all the way till October November December it doesn’t seem like it right now? just would like your guidance on what you think. Thank you.
@@chuckleoni338 Hey Chuck. Not sure what part of the country you are from but here in SC hey still have brand new 2023s on their lots. In fact it is different here hardly any diesels on the lots. I'm guessing they sell faster down here. I just read an article that the Ram 2500 is the most back stock it has ever been in recent years. Maybe they slowed down production on the 2024s because of all the back stock, not sure. At a price point of $70k for a Big Horn Night Edition 2023 no wonder they are back stocked. I was happy with $60k but would not pay anything over that. The Laramie's are in the high 70s or more, crazy price for a truck. Rick Hendrick is huge, they have dealerships all through out the south. Look them up maybe you can find what you want. They own Chevy, Dodge, and other types of dealerships. By the way absolute love the truck. Although it gets only 12 miles to the gallon ! Good luck !
22 to 24 is when they really shot up....the night edition used to be 2500 bucks.....no wonder there are hundreds sitting and you can get 14k off sticker.....even @ 80k it's alot for Laramie.....72-75ish GM is gonna kill it....availability and best pricing with updated truck and prolly best tranny....all the engines are plenty capable.....
Ahhh, they fixed the 7 pin hook up to like the 1500. My 22 has the 7 pin that drops down onto the trailer pigtail. AND guess what? IF you don't check it every single time, you can plug in and it will work even though the seven pin hasn't fully seated over the pig tail connection. And then a hundred miles down the road you get to put a new pig tail on the trailer after it has dragged for 50 or so miles after falling off. It would seem that it would be easy for software to let you know when towing if your electrical connection has "broken" during the ride. That rear view mirror capability is worth its weight in gold imho. Oh, that flat floor makes a very nice bed with 2 inches of memory foam. And the big dogs absolutely love the back as their personal dog "room."
I went back to Ram after my disaster of a 2024 GMC HD, I ordered my Ram July 26th it was built Sep 12th and shipped Sep 14th talk about quick build time. I was shocked but man the Ram prices are so expensive essentially got the same truck as my 2021 Ram which MSRP'd at 89,000 this 2024 is same thing plus the air bags 106,000 even quite ridiculous for a truck that almost hasn't changed.
I Like RAM, in 2020 I ordered a 2021 3500 HD MEGA Cab Limited with 6.4 Hemi, lost that a both of my Harley's in a Divorce. I find out when ordering a new one to replace what was stolen . RAM doesn't offer the Hemi , no Wood at 12 o'clock on steering wheel , and they still haven't upgraded the CAB's. So now I'm leaning heavily towards the FORD F450 Limited Dually.
I had the same truck 2019 ...with that experience honestly if I wanted new 2024or25 Id get a gas, power steps and air suspension for sure and use the money saved on and older deleted diesel. If you don't pull every day the exaust filter will go out $5k right after warranty. I like driving the diesel better but better have deep pockets
You jb, if you can, would you make a video of a 2014 chevrolet silverado lt 5.3 tow video? I have that exact truck but I have no tow sticker on mines. Planning on getting a tow camper and wanna know what size I should get. By the way, I have a 2wd. Right on jb. Keep the good videos coming. Love the supercab 250 video.
I own a 2018 bmw out right. Was looking for a vehicle that I could use off road and have fun with. New vehicles are so outrageously priced, I am looking at buying a 2000 jeep tj
I like the night package, but not the price. It is basically 4K for cosmetics. I gather they may be adding a couple of things to make it seem like you are getting something for the money, the best package is the snow chief imho.
WOW, that is something almost 95k for a truck with 1 dash light upgrade to show the tailgate is down and you can raise and lower the tailgate from inside the truck. Ram sure does NOT listen to its owner/customers when they continue to use a junk tire on their HD trucks. I can say that because I’ve had them on 1 of my GMC HD trucks and they had to be replaced at 25k miles. The truck you reviewed JB is a good looking truck though.
Bought my 2023 1500 rebel fully loaded for 13k below MSPR. Granted, those MSRP are very exagerated. Paid 61k for a lunar edition rebel. @@rontopping2048
Why pay all this money and still will have to come off a few thousand dollars just for a bed liner 😅 That's ridiculous and stupid. I love Rams, but I will be going with the new GMC 2500
What’s the best about the interior??? The excessive leather everywhere that you forget about 500 miles into driving it. Cmon. It’s so far behind Chevy and ford now.
Almost 30k in options....you will get reemed on trade in 94k and there is still 2 trims higher.....Ram i think kinda blew it taking this stradegy, they were a decent bargain and now are most expensive..... You wont see a new heavily uodated one fir awhile either....25 half tons been spied and its basically same truck
