Just to add to the video . Dodge has extensively updated security. Here are the following .
Turn valet mode into a pin digit kill switch. This turns normal Valet mode into a kill switch . Car MAY be turned on but as soon as throttle is detected ,car shuts off and requires the pin code. This is free of charge, however you will no longer have normal valet mode as this replaces it. ( requires flash from dealer free of charge )
2. Key lockdown program .
You have your vehicles key computer locked meaning a clone key may not be made whatsoever even by the dealer. The dealer will allow you to have 2 keys made at the time of programming so long as you pay for them. If you don’t opt for the spare keys, and you need new ones, you will have to pay 159 + labor for a new key module.
3. For 21+ models. Intrusion module. Sense movement and glass breakage detection .( also free of charge )
Pair all of that will a physical kill switch and a neutral lever plate ,and no one will ever be able to take your car unless they show up with a whole ass tow rig.
Hope this helps any and everyone!
Thank you great info and destroyer1320 has neutral strap plates
I just tried the valet pin kill switch on my 2020 widebody scat, and it let me back all the way out of the driveway after turning it on. All it does is limit engine power, and limits other things, it does not completely shut the car off.
@@SuddenDeathClique did you go to the dealer and have it flashed like I mentioned ? Normal valet mode limits performance but still completely drivable. They don’t come with the enhanced valet mode bc you have to consent to the update REPLACING valet mode. If you get the flash done ,you will no longer have valet mode. It does NOT come standard for the reasoning of people wanting actual valet mode. You need to make an appointment and get it flashed,so what you just did ,was the factory valet mode. Call your local dealer and make an appointment
@@SuddenDeathClique that's still a major flaw
I have a pincode on my car where I have to press 4-21 presses on my steering wheel in order to start my car. It’s called IGLA
Khal has literally mastered dodge to the T. He can train dealership mechanics at this point
Any mechanic worth his shit knows how to read a wiring diagram.... the fuck you mean.... lmfao
Installing a aftermarket kill switch is dealership mechanic material 😂🤣😂🤣 bro we been doing that in every vehicle since 1998 🤣😂🤣😂 are you a millennial ? 😂🤣😂🤣
@@sycboyspi I just ran across this, and when I watched it , it's like wiring for a true dummy
I just ran across him. Dude is a beast
He’s also training thieves on how to take yo shi😂😂
I would make one suggestion , use a remote relay. You can completely hide it and use a remote. Impossible to find. Most people are to lazy to do all this in my opinion.
I’m definitely doing this on my srt 300! Another thing I did was hide a apple airtag behind on of my plastic trim panels that way I can always gps track it on my phone if it gets stolen. For $20 can’t beat it.
Please get you a viper alarm with kill switch
except it alerts the thief theres one in the car which they can disable. its a iphone safety feature if a airtag is with a unknown iphone. just get a hardwired tracker behind the dash and drop a dummy one in the OB2. Few hundred to protect a few thousand dollars.
well untill somebody sees ur airtag traveling with them and they tear ur shit apart to find it
On the Apple AirTag, watch a video to take the speaker off so thieves with iPhones can’t find it and disable it.
@@shanethomas5327 what about Samsung smarttags?
Always used a kill switch on my old hot rod 69 Dodge Charger R/T, easy to do back then, used the emergency flasher switch in the dash so it was hidden in plain sight.
Thieves, unfortunately, will never stop trying to steal other people's stuff, they get shot where I live in AZ. Just secure your stuff thoroughly........if you have a valuable car, keep it in a rear garage on the property, preferably a walled or fenced yard, and park 1 or 2 other rigs in front of the door, for example. I also keep 7.62x39 Kalashnikov security ready to roll in case of any shit happening like that.
Thanks for a cool tutorial on how to better secure our valuable Mopars!
I like your approach
Same here! Gotta have a good "Gun Line". I don't have time for any bullshit!
Lol puhssy stuff right there brother. I let my guard sleep in back seat and hug my kalashnikov in bed
Out here doing lords work man
Sa vre wi!💯
Much better method than splicing into the back of the switch. Any thief with any knowledge will look there first. Preventing the manual pull tap to put to neutral is also key. If you use the plate that covers it they can still smash it, but it’s inconvenient for them. Use 2 different security screws and hide the bits somewhere in the car in case you need a tow. Great video.
Another great one Khal.Especially living in NYC,need the extra protection!👍🏾
Bro I dig the way you share you're expertise!!! Big ups to you!
Great video and idea. Congratulations on your journey and success. In one of your videos you told about how you started working on cars and little by little built yourself up to what you have now. Couldn't be happier for ya seeing someone work hard and reach success is inspiring and motivating.

I want to replace my 5.7L with a Redeye engine. I have the donor engine. Anything I have to look for in ternms of complilancy with the PCM etc ? DO I need a Hellcat PCM? Anything I have to know about the way the pumbing works with the chiller?
Where do you connect the black cable on the switch? Just to a ground in the car?
Hi, Khal...would a magnetic reed switch work in this application or would the car stop running once the magnet is not by the switch after starting? Would you have to use the magnet at the switch again to shut the car off?
Worked exactly as you said and showed. Thanks for making this awesome video! 👍🤙
Thanks bro just bought my hellcat 2 weeks ago. Putting that kill switch on for sure.
Ur right khal I think adding multiple kill switches can make ur car steal proof! Like for mine I have a kill switch on the fuel pump and ignition but I’ll consider the starter as well
@@lykemikeee Man the thieves gon know where to look 😅
I just take my engine
Here come bubba in his tow truck lol .. dnt need to find a kill switch if the engine is all they want.. they will cone across the switch while pulling the engine... lol
just carry an engine hoist and a tool box with you everywhere you go, that way you can pull the motor out whenever you park it and it can never be stolen!
@@blakeslide6919 not unless the thief has one too. I personally just disassemble my transmission completely and put the parts in random places to make it much harder for the thieves to assemble it themselves
Hi khal, Im thinking of doing this but I'm wondering if it blocks key reprogrammer that thieves are using? if they reprogram a Key, will they be able to start the car?
Will this work on a 14 JGC SRT? If so are the color codes the same. TIA. Outstanding video.
Is the process and location for the wire the same for Jeep srt wk2???
If the thieve has cloned your key, can they still use remote start to start it despite disabling the push button start? And if you have a manual trans, which has no remote start, can they bump start with a cloned key?
Looks like you have the electrical schematic, do you know the current rating on that hot wire for the switch? I want to add a connector in between and want to make sure it is properly rated. I am assuming it is not large, just wondering what it is.
Hey I wanted to swap a 2015 shifter into my 2014 how'd u do it....any critical modules or harness adapters I need?
Great Video. Thanks. I did not know that's how they were popping the car into neutral. I'll be sure to disconnect the cable on my Challenger now
Thanks for the Video! I just Finished my Kill Switch install on my 300 and it works great! I also relocated the OBD Port. I installed a splitter and relocated the Port. I installed one of the Ports as a Dummy in the factory location. It has Power and Ground but I cut all of the Data wires. Now I need to Put a security plate on the Neutral Level and I will have it locked down. Thanks Again!
That's a good idea... Though that just made me think that adding a switch to almost any of those wires would do the same thing. Interrupt the circuit with a hidden switch, and the OBD port would be inactive.
Yo Khal I’ve been doing this about 6 months in the Memphis area. I have done 20 total. I added biometric kill switches that are very hard to find the wiring for but it’s tied into PCM ignition and the shifter
May need to come see you. Where are you in the M?
Do you have a schematic showing where this wire runs from the relay in the trunk to the ignition switch in the dash? I’d like to break the circuit somewhere in between so it’s more difficult to find the splice and would give a few sneakier places to install the switch? Thanks for your help. I was getting really tired of all these videos of people breaking the circuit right behind the ignition switch where every thief would look first.
Any clue if the wiring on the starter button would be the same on a 2022 Ram 3500?
You do anything to the lever that makes the car go neutral?
Back when I was a teenager installing car audio and car alarms I had made kill switches with the cigarette lighter. Granted you couldn’t use the cigarette lighter after I modded it but all you had to do was pull the lighter out and the car wouldn’t start.
will the kill switch idea work on a 07 dodge charger with the key style ingnition..?..
All three of the Hellcats stolen in our area had hidden kill switches.
They were right around the gimmick trans disconnect cover on all three, pulled the lanyard, they were all grabbed by a tow truck.
They couldn't start the car, they adjusted their tactics. Somehow they even bypassed the alarms.
Video on all three thefts showed the longest one took 76 seconds from entry to tow truck grab.
The first business looked at were repo companies, current and former employees. They even did it on Fridays, trash collection day. All reported hearing what they thought was the trash collection truck
If they want it, its gone.
I don't drive mine anymore unless armed.
Side note: Great video!
There's little that'll stop a tow theft... Hell, they'll drag them onto a bed, put dollies on, and off they go.
It's all about mitigating the chances though. Installing a kill switch will certainly help stop thefts. Just obviously not all thefts.
It also always helps to crank your wheels to one side when parking. Just a little deterant from dragging a vehicle.
@@universaljointtrackers!!!!!!a couple of them
You would think they would of thought of this before production. Was it that much more expensive to add to the assembly line for Dodge?
Just curious, if your wireless remote start still works, and they can program a keyfob wouldnt their remote start on the new keyfob then work for them?
Great but where did you put the kill switch?
Khal could you PLEASE help find the proper wire for this install on a 2021 GMC SIERRA 1500 Duramax. this set up is amazing and id love to do it on my truck.
i think the get the signal from the key its self, could taking the battery in out in the key stop that? and they also use the natural gear hidden in the console but covering that can easily stop that.
How many amps run through the start stop button? To install a kill switch breaking the push start button how many amps does the switch need to be able to handle?
I see alot of people do remote kill switches on their cars. Which is better the switch you installed or a remote switch? Or does it not matter?
Question, switch has a red and black wire, you connect the red to red and what do you connect the black to?
Have you tried getting in the car after the remote start is activated and seeing if the car can be driven away?
Can you make a video, showing how to disable the neutral cable because I tried to do it myself and messed up my car
So all you do is connect red and ground wire for the kill switch to work?
@Khal_SRT Can use the wireless 12v kill switch with the remote control instead???
I certainly want to do this. I really hope that the wires are the same colour as on 2019 Wranglers LOL
I'll look into more closely of course.
I saw another video when someone used a 3 position switch and hooked it up to their horn... So if they hit the start button, the vehicle doesn't start, but it also beeps.
I think other viable alternatives are to the brake start switch, and the starter solenoid. Though The starter solenoid obviously means more work with the wiring.
Also, always crank your wheels to one side when parking... It's hard to roll a vehicle with a locked steering wheel if it's veering off to the left or right LOL
Even for rts aswell or just scats and above???
Can you do one on a TRX do u do installation for other people and get paid i wanna do my TRX thanks
It seem like without the kill switch you can also prevent your car from being stolen by changing the shift keys is this true?
Always looking out for the gang 🙏🏾 gotta give him his respect
the layers of security are interesting. on a push start car this is a simple but effective setup. on 90s and early 2000, thieves know about kill switches and a hidden aftermarket push start is actually effective.
Khal_SRR Do you have a schematic showing where this wire runs from the relay in the trunk to the ignition switch in the dash? I’d like to break the circuit somewhere in between so it’s more difficult to find the splice and would give a few sneakier places to install the switch? Thanks for your help. I was getting really tired of all these videos of people breaking the circuit right behind the ignition switch where every thief would look first.
Would this be the same for the RAM TRX?
After installing your Killswitch, did you ever have performance issues?
Get on Ram 1500 forum there is a guy that makes inline harness extension with built in tail cable for kill switch so you dont have to hack into factory wiring. Just plugs inline with factory harness and switch. Will also work for charger / challenger.
Hope to someday see you hellcat swap a ram! Would love to do mine and watching you break it down like your other videos would be dope🤘🏼
Wouldn’t be that exciting , considering they make a ram trx (has a hellcat motor )
@@landyachtjayy I guess for people like me that like to have something built that not everyone else has.
@@landyachtjayy also the trx is all off-road based and heavy. A regular cab short bed lowered ram hellcat swap would be pretty rowdy.
@@akjason4734 I could see that
@@landyachtjayy I would love a loaded Limited Crew Cab and retain that slick street appearance. It would be essentially a SRT Hellcat 1500 as opposed to a off-road based Raptor fighter "TRX". I love the TRX but I would still prefer a modern SRT10-like rig. It's crazy how a Ram 1500 Limited can easily exceed $70k and the biggest motor is still a 5.7 when a 392 is readily available🤷🏾♂️ to say the least.
You still have the battery for the door locks?
Big dawg of the srt brand ‼️🏁
Hey Khal is that process the same for a c7 corvette???
so the black wire of the switch isnt used?
So the 2022 don’t come from factory with the update module??
If the kill switch is off will the remote start still work turn on using remote start
So they break your window, program the key fob then remote start the car to get moving?
Khal question! I did the same to my challenger SRT392. But my red wire has a really small brown stripe. No biggie it still works. The thing I have found is now I’m getting a message (service keyless system). The kill switch works no problem, remote start works no problem. Just getting this message. Did your charger get the same? And it shouldn’t matter what side of the switch is in or out. I used the same switch as you from Amazon. PS, car has never given me this message, till I did the switch. Any ideas?
Can you do a video on the programming of the remote to kill switch
What amp switch do you need?
this is the most useful money saving video on your channel so far, thanks
I keep popping the ignition fuse and not sure why I already check if the ground it touch positive it’s not or positive touching ground it’s not
Wit Khals Knowledge And Engine Swaps!! Dodge Should Be Paying You Dude
Where did you get the wiring schematic from?
Can you talk about good trackers for them?
Khal i got a 300 and my backup camera goes balck when i put it on reverse didn’t you say something at a sensor or something
I have seem some install wireless kill switches. Any thoughts about them?
Hey is this mote or less the same for a 2016 mustang ?
Yo you can make a video on how to disable the cable to the neutral lever
Add a Faraday Box for at home to block your key fob signal as well. Then get the Faraday key fob pouch while out in public. They really work
Wouldn’t thieves be able to use the remote start too? Since they program keys to them.
Revelco anti theft plugs are a pretty hefty peace of mind at an admittedly hefty price, but thatll be the direction ill be going. Closest shop that can install em is 2hrs out from where I live, but feeling its worth it for a vehicle leaving production soon
one of the best security out there no one talks about.
Keep the kill switch. Even if the dealer disables the programing feature. A theft can still get your Rf from your fob from inside your house with a device.
Thank you for this ..i will do this on my kia ...
Those it work with a key car or just push to start cars
Khal will this work with all push to start cars/truck
Where did you order switch
Is it the same on a trackhawk
Just got my SRT recently stolen definitely doing this
Another good idea for a kill switch is an old car style floor dimmer switch. easily mount it on the floor in your foot well, no one even knows when you're activating it. foot operated.
I low key forgot to say something but you helped ppl be able to get they cars stolen again
Where did you put the ground wire
How much do let you install one of my Jeep. It’s not a SRT or nothing lol just a basic V6. I’m in the downriver area ❤
does this work on trackhawks?
Did this mod to mine, works as advertised! It's true that if a thief pops the trim and sees what is going on, they can reconnect the wires. Nothing is full proof, this is just another layer of protection, making your car more of a PITA to steal than the next guy. Solid and simple piece of additional security
good idea is to put esposed swith which starts second alarm, for sure they gonna push it first haha
really does work I have it in my cobra worked like a charm when someone tried it and its hidden well
Make a video on how to remove neutral switch
Can you put a scat pack engine in a 300?
I seen a video of a hellcat getting pushed away w a Durango it was tragic I feel bullet proof windows are a easy fix to stop them from even getting in that’s just my opinion, kill switch is great as well
If they had a neutral lock out kit that wouldn't of happened
@@Toxik_Hellcat do u have a link of some sort to neutral lock out kit
I got the compustar drone package with automatic kill switch
what tires are thoses?
I'd recommend if your doing this use a relay inline with the switch or you'll burn the switch out over time and potentially be a fire hazard
Must watch video for the Dodge Hellcat/SRT/Scat Pack/Jeep Trackhawk community.
If they program their key fob can’t they remote start it as well
Do you if I need to do this on a 22 redeye?
Can u do it with a manual transmission mustang too
