    I wonder if the upcoming Renault 5 beats it. Will you review the most beautiful Smart#3?

    Amazing! This is how an EV should be! As below! Love it! Looks fantastic. And it is a proper car! As i have said before forget the stupid,, horrid [corrupt?] Tesla and the likes of Kia and Hyundia Simply not in the same league as this. If/when i have to go EV.... we need infra-structure [live in a flat! Like many with awkward parking...like so many!].... Back to the superb 208e.... personally i think the mid-life nip and tuck is a bit OTT. Not needed. Back lights not as good and two to many fangs. Pity. Like Renault with the excellent Clio...another OTT. So all those SUV, Tesla buying ''urbanites.''..Don't! Simply buy this or its bigger brother 308e. Or Mini or Volvo EX30..... just no more Tesla or Kia etc. Thank you Mark, excellent review as always.

    Great review very pretty car but Stellantis pricing in the UK way too high bought a new BMW M118 far cheaper.

    I have the late 2020 e208 GT (fully optioned) and experience has relatively been great. Yes, the winter range could be better but there are some tricks and tips which can make the winter experience better. Very sporty drive, love the suspension on corners, easy to park and the GT seats are amazing. I still think the previous GT design was better for headlights and DRL, but new 360 camera is a welcome addition. Great review tho as always!

    I think it was a fine car before, now with the competition it's priced too high. I'd rather pay a little more for a Volvo EX-30 and get a lot more for that money

    Oooohhh no comments yet (there are now!). I’ve got a current gen e208 (mines the same red which looks gorgeous) so more range would be good.
    You’re right it’s a bit small in the back/boot, but the rest of the car is already great. Do wish though the price was decent in the UK - this GT version is £35k+ which is way too steep and means massive depreciation.

    • @MrBamboolegend
      @MrBamboolegend 9 месяцев назад

      exactly, for that price I'd be looking at the Volvo EX-30

    For God's sake, it's not a little city car.Youre thinking of a Toyota aygo or Hyundai i10. This is a B segment class.It is a As large as a normal car saloon.

    Go for the petrol version. It may be more expensive to run. However, when weighed up against the cheaper purchase price and likely higher residual resale value. Also, you don't have to waste hours waiting for it to charge.

      @rallychamp2003 9 месяцев назад +3

      If you have the electric version and charge it up overnight at home, you don't have to waste hours standing on windswept petrol forecourts filling the tank with dinojuice.
      It's also not all about the money.

      @@rallychamp2003basically you answered why electric doesn’t work for most as range isn’t long enough unless your only in town and also waiting for it to charge again and again unlike petrol which is 3-5 mins and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper and lower insurance groups to? £35,000 is a shocking price for this but if you want electric the mg4 is far better and bigger and will loose less in resale than this overpriced stellantis group, only Citroen might undercut there price

      @@rallychamp2003 so in winter maybe 180 miles to a full charge if your lucky so you will have to charge when you arrive if you are going on a 180 round trip and use the expensive charging network which is more expensive than petrol so if you regularly drive that route it will definitely not suit them, public charging isn’t that good and won’t suit all especially where I live, honestly buy a lpg car and save on fuel, it’s more accessible than electric and faster

      Yeah, a super-car provided you recharge it (if you can do it !) at home. Not my very idea of an ideal car...

    Wouldn't touch anything with the PSA 1.2 engine in it!!!! They have the dreaded wet belt which breaks down in no time and Block’s the oil pump!!! Strips teeth from the belt or just breaks prematurely, massive repair bills down the road, these engines are as bad as the Ford ECOBOOST engines which have been a disaster for Ford around the world.
    A rubber belt in oil goes against all the rules! COMPLETELY STUPID IDEA, BUY ONE AT YOUR PERIL.
