Thank you Ryan and team! I have a good friend aged 71 who lives outside of Asheville on a mountain and the photos she is posting are apocalyptic. Her house and those of her neighbors are all destroyed. No power, she's using her car to charge her phone. Roads out 20 miles in all directions. hi here from clemson, we're doing decent, but surrounding areas are suffering. I got insanely lucky to have my power and my home not damaged, but its awful. Trees on peoples homes, roads, fences torn apart, power lines still down. The fast food restaurants are constantly packed, no gas at most gas stations, and just yesterday was told central is on their backup reserves for water. Praying for those who live in Asheville, chimney rock, lake lure. Please stay safe everyone. 🙏
Please consider donating to small town first responders. Many volunteer fire departments and ems crews need help!

I live in Hendersonville, NC. The downed trees, down power lines everywhere, roads washed away and so much flooding. It looks like a disaster zone here. There is no one helping, no power since Thursday it looks like it's going to be quite a while before we have some. There is no water, nowhere to get water, or even gas. I visit Asheville on occasion and go to a small town towards Linville to get my Christmas tree every year. I don't know when I'll be about to go back and my heart is breaking for everyone there. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are just... Gone. From the videos I've seen of Chimney Rock, only one or two buildings are still standing. I can only hope everyone evacuated.

wow....how sad. my heart goes out to all who are impacted.
I’ve watched you for a year and you’re better at your calls than any news station out there.
Thanks y’all squad for everything you do!
It sucks but the turnaround time on these things isnt fast. It takes weeks, sometimes months, especially with widespread damage. This is why it's extremely important to prepare for the worst, even if it doesn't happen. I was in Florida in 04 and learned this the hard way when 4 canes came in 6 weeks.
Never clicked so fast, thank you Ryan!
Swannanoa & black mountain area (east of Asheville) are so hit, I want to get supplies there but no one is going in. Everything is going to Asheville and boone which are the larger areas, and the smaller area people can’t get there. Just wanted to put this out there in hopes y’all (anyone reading this) can keep these areas in mind!
My heart aches for the folks heavily affected by this disaster.
It's hard to believe the level of devastation that happened so widespread. The before & after pics are heartbreaking.
You, and others similar to your channel/videos, were the only ones out there telling us ahead of time how bad this storm could be. All the other radio and TV meteorologists played down this storm and some even accused “those guys on RUclips and Twitter” of sensationalizing just to get viewers. Thank you for telling us the truth.
My opinion, the utubers can provide more truth for news ,than the news! Blessings 🙌

But I had my 15 year old with me for her first month long ride, and with her anxiety, I decided to go up to wytheville because it was just supposed to be high winds, and west of Charlotte was supposed to be tropical storm winds.
