Big request i would have if i were to consider one of these, they REALLY need to make the softex an option that isnt 8k. Ive noticed when building these on the website it always wants a TRD premium package in ordewr to just get the leather softex. They need to seperate some of those options so that i dont have to buy such an expensive bundle, which in turn will help alot of respective buyers feel like these arent so expensive.
Im old and drive my 3rd gen round trip NY to Fla 2x a year. No stopping other than for gas and food. 19 hours straight and find my truck pretty comfortable.
People drive really fast . My wife has a 2023 highlander limited awd with the 2.4 turbo . If we drive at 70-75 mph our mpg is around 28-30 mpg . But he we do 60ish I can get it up to about almost 40 mpg . At least that’s what the screen is telling me . And cruising manually with my foot instead of using the cruise control . The gas savings is big enough to notice .

Have you look at house, food price? Insurance and utilities price? Everything is up my dude. I am not saying the Taco is a bargain, just saying everything is up, car and home are the two biggest ticket items we buy, and the amount is so big that it feel it is a rip off…..but really those small price also creeps up, we don’t don’t SEE it since those are relatively small amount.

I wanted one so badly. I hate the giant center console. Imagine having this massive truck, but you have a tiny rectangle to sit in... completely kills the comfort of the truck
On my 2022 civic si what it does is it opens Waze in the background so that you can still get the hazard and radar notifications on the screen while using other apps on the screen. I do the same thing cause I prefer to use Apple Maps but like knowing if there’s a cop or something up the road
Why is Toyota still giving out preproduction models? I've never seen pretty much all press coverage for a car with unfinished surfaces. Just seems a little bizarre they wouldn't try to show off the final product.
As a life long GM guy that has only bought GM trucks and one GM SUV, my next truck will be a Chevy Colorado Trail Boss but MAN this Toyota Tacoma LOOKS GOOD! I am VERY tempted to buy the Tacoma TRD OFF ROAD, but after the options I want its MSRP is $52K and after dealer markups I know it would be about $57K and even if I get a new old stock of last years model year a few years from now it would be about $46K at the very least and the Colorado Trail Boss MSRP the way I would spec it would be $42K and thats with 360 cameras, trailer package, and the 2 convivence packages, and the rest of the goodies I would add later so I wouldn't be paying interest on them for 6yrs. And since I will try to get a new old stock last model year still on the lot in a few years, it should be as low as $38K so yeah about a $10K difference and to me someone that doesn't want to spend over $40K for a truck thats more in my price range. And yes I know you get more off road suspension with that $10K in the TRD off road but I will try to get into some light off roading but probably nothing to extreme so the Trail Boss should handle the light stuff I will try. BUT MAN THAT TACO LOOKS GOOD INSIDE AND OUT! AND THE SUSPENSION IS PURE OFF ROAD! But too bad for me I can't justify the $10K more about from the Colorado Trail Boss the way I would spec it, $42K vs $52K. MAN I'm a triple black kinda guy BUT THAT GRAY accent in the interior POPS! MAN IT LOOKS GOOD! I WISH THE COLORADO TRAIL BOSS HAD THAT OPTION!
When is someone going to turn the traction control off and just see how invasive it is while power braking and burning donuts, that's what I'm interested in 😅
The dash looks like someone picked up All pieces a threw them at a wall and said good to go. Like all new vehicles the dash is a cluttered mess of distractions.
I live outside U.S. and I ´ve realized that is enjoyable driving in the highways because there is a few traffic and the cars are cheaper and affordable.
google needs to fix the google maps app they better to put the arrow and guiding line in the center of the screen not in the lower right corner. same in tablets.
It looks nice to be honest. That mpg is still not impressive tho. My 23 Nissan Titan Pro-4x 5.6 V8 gets that on the hwy!! Toyota's going down hill fast. I traded my 2010 Tacoma TRD off-road in for my Titan, should have done it sooner.
just wanna see the top speed of this new truck,,, otherwise 4 cylinder turbocharge is equals to still a v6. performance... if this 2024 tacoma still have the top speed of 115 miles an hour, i can consider it its a v6 not a turbocharge.. theres a BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN V6 3.5L TURBOCHARGE AND 4 CYLINDER TURBO CHARGE
Toyota makes great vehicles but they do so stupid things with there designs sometimes. The front air spoiler looks terrible. Also that 14 inch screen does not fit at all with the interior dash layout. As a engineer I can’t believe that this was not question during the design process for this truck.
You can remove the air dam with 9 bolts, you can get a smaller 8inch screen if you don’t like the big one. For off-road use the bigger screen is much better, higher resolution, clearer camera views, more map details etc

the Fast Lane Truck bought their TRD off road in houston and drove it to colorado and they got 24.1 MPG and thats good enough for me.
