MOTORKOTE!! How to get more mpg with proof that it works

  • In this video we show proof of what motorkote does to fuel economy and what kind of savings we got when we tested it on a 4.0. We saw great results on motorkote on other channels and decided to share our results. Also special thanks to my daughter for creating the intro to this video.
    Also keep an open mind because we actually stacked odds against the motorkote and had 2 longer stops at red lights and the weather did change and was beginning to get overcast and it rained shortly after which means it was changing barometric pressure against the motorkote. But somehow it still had an improvement.

    I like your experiment and the results. Along with the yearly savings you calculated, you also saved a bunch of internal wear and tear on your engine ... which might be more valuable than your calculated savings..... in the long run.

    See this was posted 4 years ago. Over time did the milage improve? Project Farm did an extreme test of MotorKote 6 years ago. He said the company said the only way to remove is by sanding it off. I wonder if the recommendation to retreat after every other oil change is just to increase sales?

    • @weekendwrench
      @weekendwrench  Месяц назад

      They have since changed the longevity that's for sure because the newest bottles say use every oil change. I kept using it and can say there are 3 types of products I have used to see if the benefits of mororkote can be removed without tearing down the engine and sanding. My conclusion that can be replicated tine and tine again is a fuel tank with 4oz per 10gallons of fuel of marvel mystery oil and in crank case following bottle instructions will in fact remove the motorkote. The same can be replicated with seafoam. After I figured out it is not total and permanent I continued to use it in 2 vehicles( the same truck) and a family compact sedan both using motorkote for over 50k miles in the truck and 84k miles in the sedan with no bad effects. Both vehicles now well over 215k miles on odometer and have not shown any signs of negative effects. To answer your first question the mileage did improve even furthermore the following days once it really circulated and stuck thoroughly If I can remember correctly I gained almost 2.6mpg mixed driving which doesn't sound like much but 2.6 mpg everywhere you go every single time you drive is, highway or city, year after year adds up to quite a serious amount depending on fuel price per location. The 3rd product that will remove it is b12 chemtool.

    • @weekendwrench
      @weekendwrench  4 года назад +2

      Yes I also had barometric pressure drop and it rained 20 mins after test dropped which means it was more difficult for air and also had almost 2mph more headwind against the motorkote which would very easily more than negate that claim. If conditions were perfect the motorkote would have gained closer to 1.6mpg and that's a safe number to assume. I have been seeing upwards of 23mpg on a more constant basis i guess once it circulated really well it started working even better because this truck doesn't even get that for factory ratings (perfect conditions) and I'm 6000 feet up. Great observation i will try to eliminate as many variables as I can. But it really is difficult because I ended up at 2 red lights which happened to be green in the first test u can count that against the motorkote as well and still came out on top. No doubt about it try it and you'll see. If u want a good way to clear it out of your system mmo does the job. U can safely go back and forth with your findings brother.

    No just for s**** and giggles, if you have wheel hubs for your wheel bearings
    Get to them, remove the ABS sensor, squirt some motorkote in, and also add to your rear differential depending what you're driving.
    Your wheel bearing is your first friction point from the ground to your car, so we have proof of concept that removing friction in the engine itself and transmission will increase your fuel mileage.
    I'm wondering if you also treat your wheel bearings How much fuel mileage increase you'll get because the initial friction is in your wheel bearings.

    • @weekendwrench
      @weekendwrench  5 месяцев назад

      Terrific insight but I wonder what it would do to the consistency of the grease in the bearing. Kinda like adding fuel to the oil will it still Lubricate? Sure but will it be the correct viscosity? No but since this is also a Lubricant I think it might actually work
