I used to work on a alcohol dragster. The big issue here is the proof of alcohol is only 80, that means 60% of the liquid is water. Only 40% is actual alcohol. You also need to to change the timing so you have proper air fuel mix for what ever type of fuel your using, and you can only run them a short time because it is hard on the engine and will over heat quickly. That quarter mile drank about 5 gallons of pure alcohol, we had to pour gas in through the blower and then light it our selves to start it, we had to change the oil one a weekend, a set of spark plugs only lasted 2 weekends, and we where always fixing something after every run, always changing the head seals, the timing, the alcohol would eat through the rubber seals. It can be done but it involves a lot of work and modifying for it to be sustainable for more that a few miles.
Finally. I've been waiting for your comment. As I recall, when BP started using ethanol back in the day, if you remember their commercials on TV would state something like "if you get stranded, we'll pay your tow". Because they knew the alcohol would eat away the rubber etc. I may not have all that exact, but close, I believe.
@jeepfvr I don't remember that. Maybe when they first started adding alcohol, they may have been worried about if would cause vehicle damage they could be liable for. But as far as that situation goes I'm not sure. I will ask the crew chief if it rings any bells to him.
If you add an octane booster to the vodka it will run much better. The issue I think it's having is the alcohol is not only burning hotter than regular gas but it's also igniting quicker so the engine is probably having "pre-detination" which is probably the noise your hearing. Octain is the level of resistance to ignition, so by adding an octane booster your making it less "explosive" so to speak. Try it with an octain additive it should smooth it out.

It's like that episode of Seinfeld when Kramer goes on a test drive and convinces the salesman to keep driving until it runs out of gas ...I FEEL SO ALIVE!!!
It happened because of too much water in vodka. Two centuries ago they used spirit alcohol (>95%). A small percentage of water is not harmful. But vodka's 60% already killed your engine (or hydrolocked? no idea). You'd have to freeze the vodka, and drain the alcohol before pouring it to the tank. In case of Diesel, it is also advised to add a small percentage of vegetable oil (5-20%) to the mixture, as a proper lubrication of the injector nozzles.
For sure would clean piston and valves with the water content . Water doesn't compress . Try running as close to 200 proof as you can and run a e85 tune
Exactly! Normal vodka contains usually more than 50% water! Try to put gasoline half and half with water..OK, well they don’t mix like vodka and water do..
I have no idea about cars at all but I think despite it being empty there is still some residual fuel left that got mixed with the vodker so that the mixture was extremely meager
Btw guys heres a handy tip i learned growing up with all older vehicles. Once the tank says empty pr its on E, you can usually drive alot of those older cars and trucks for another 50-60 miles before theyll actually run out. Officer - sir you were driving in a reckless manner, were you drinking tonight ?
Me- it wasn't me, it's my truck doing all the drinking tonight, I'm the designated driver. 😂
💀💀💀💀💀
These comments are growing boring
Why are you not wearing seatbelt? @2:55

Old ford never die and need more nitriouse big boost and try do a burn out compilation
Well may be with the truck need more then a gallons to get thing running and think what happening is the little fluid u put it picking up the crap in the tank keep up the good work but do take the bottle out of the back never know if cop be near by and try the nose and alcahole
This is the best promotional ad for that truck. *It runs on almost NO gas.*
I want one used. It is an oldie but a goodie.
Fr
Probably the meter/gauge is inaccurate.
Oldie but a Goldie?
Fr all I kept thinking while watching was " damn I wish I had that truck" 😂
@@iagreewithyou3478highly doubtful
when i was a kid, this is actually how i thought my bicycle worked, i would drink some water and feed some water to my bike,
i was such a odd kid
Where did you frickin put the water? Your bicycle had a water tank?
You sound "special".
i like the way you think
😂
Not gonna lie. That's definitely odd 😂😂
Cool video! Even this part when waiting until the car runs of the fuel was interesting!
*fills truck with vodka*
*acts shocked when it doesn't work*
Lmao
😂
It's mostly water too......
192 proof everclear would be what I would use
Im more shocked it ran for a lil bit tbh xD
It's like that episode of Seinfeld when Kramer goes on a test drive and convinces the salesman to keep driving until it runs out of gas ...I FEEL SO ALIVE!!!
I always keep thinking about that scene, especially for this video.
Every episode of Seinfeld loves rent free in my head.
Buying or leasing? Borrowing 😂
officer- "you were swerving like your drunk"
dude- "no, thats just my truck thats drunk"
"alright you're going to county."
That's what I was thinking
Rubbing alcohol or everclear
Exactly! Normal vodka contains usually more than 50% water! Try to put gasoline half and half with water..OK, well they don’t mix like vodka and water do..
For a truck that's 32 years old, it looks to be in pretty good shape. You gotta love those classic Ford Ranger pickups. They're pretty durable.
32? It's a 1994
29 years old. For a 1994
@@SkinE-Vadee-Veechee30.
that thing was running for 2 hrs and another hour of driving after running out of gas my car from 2021 could not do that, at all
Oh yeah we used them for delivery and drove the hell out of them . They just kept running .
That truck was holding on the the rest of the gas for dear life 🤣🤣
I have no idea about cars at all but I think despite it being empty there is still some residual fuel left that got mixed with the vodker so that the mixture was extremely meager
Danger Rangerrrr is boozing again. Hahaha.. You need to restore that truck..😅
I said this pretty often he should do that
When your done just hose it back & filter it, so thers zero waste for saturday night... 👍
It deserves a restoration after the things he’s put it through 😂 It’s held up very well
Btw guys heres a handy tip i learned growing up with all older vehicles. Once the tank says empty pr its on E, you can usually drive alot of those older cars and trucks for another 50-60 miles before theyll actually run out. They did that on purpose cuz they USED to be cool like that. You know, make things convenient for when you get caught off guard or get stuck in a bad situation. Those days are loooong gone though..
reserve tank mate
My 2022 BMW X6 drives 50+ miles once the gas light comes on.
pretty much all gas cars have 2 gallons of reserve gas from when the light goes on
Light comes on means 40 miles left, which is still plenty of distance.
@zain00001It's way less now tho
the fact that vodka works for even a moment is insane
Officer: Sir have you been drinking?!
Driver: Nope but the truck has!!!! 😬😏🤣🤣
Update video! We are trying to figure out what is actually wrong with the truck (besides it being drunk)
ruclips.net/video/ORrVssp9xTY/видео.htmlsi=L6Krz2L_XKJp5mbu
That loud noise you heard when you started it back up after dumping that first bottle in was the starter sticking. You burned the starter up
^ this
She got too drunk. The truck that is 😅
Skipped around so at first i thought you drove 40miles+ on a gallon of vodka, and immediatly thought "this is guna get deleated and hes guna die"
LMAO
@@nakedandhittingthebong foreal man, you ever hear about the guy on tbe news that invented a water powered engine. Gets on the news, shows it off, 2 weeks later hes eating in a resturaunt he stands up yells "IV BEEN POISONED" and dies
Imagine hitting a dui check point and telling the cop that you are driving on vodka.
HHHAAHAA
Just don't forget to tell that it's the truck that's drunk, not you 😂
Literally driving on fookin Vodka 🤣
How did the car engine started with voda
Is the video fake
@@beyondthestars4299 watch it carefuly, dude. Before you talk. It's really works but it isn't normal. Vodka contains Alcohol so it flamemable. Even a race Car uses Ethanol which is basically Alcohol 🤷
This is insane 😂 thank you for answering the age old question that all guys wondered about. I'm actually pretty impressed it could run on his, I thought there would be too much water in it 😂
The takeaway from this is, you can most certainly mix vodka with the little fuel that you have in the tank to maximise your range in case of an emergency.
Yeah, you can mix a lot of things to get you to the gas station. I pissed in the tank a few times back in my partying days, when I drank alcohol it always worked. I tried it once after I quit drinking and when I got home and shut the truck off and it cooled down,it locked up tight as a frogs a**. So lesson learned from experience 😂
But wouldn't the vodka ruin the engine?
@mtalk828 probably not the bit you did, just like premium vs unleaded.
Sir once alcohol has past through your body, it is turned into sugar. 🤔 How would this work
@@mtalk828might dreye the greese
Cop: "I smell alcohol. Have you been drinking?"
You: "No officer. I put vodka in my truck."
Cop: "Step out of the truck Sir."
“Step out of the sir, truck”

This video should be call "how to destroy your "car" with vodka" 😂😂😂😂
he obv enjoy fixing it back up
With water
It doesn't discriminate...
Feed it 60% water
Fills the tank back up and it runs. Worst case scenario he needs to use a bucket of IPA.
Excellent! Funny as hell 😂
you should try some stronger alc, 40% is barely flammable, how do you expect it to power an engine?
Too much water in it... weak alcohol... no wonder the truck made that terrible sound and wouldn't run
TBF, it DOES seem like he hydrolocked it trying this
Everclear 😅😅😅
Strohrum, but at that point you can just use petrol
not sure if common in the US, but here in brazil we have almost all vehicles nowadays beeing able to be fueled by alcoohol just fine.
I had to stop this on TV and comment. I was in absolute tears laughing for the first 5 minutes of this. Hilarious!!!!
Don’t you mean we’re in *ABSOLUT* tears??
☝️ I was gonna say that Absolut joke. Great minds think alike.
I love your videos Mike! Hope this one goes viral too!!
You just got a new subscriber!
That scratchy sound was your starter...dying!😁It's amazing how far she went on empty!
Starter is only engaged when starting the motor. Once the engine is running, the starter isn't engaged anymore. How would it be the starter?
Genuinely asking, not being a smart ass
I thought it was the starter to because ignitions can get stuck and that's what it sounded like to me, of your ignition works fine then hold it next time you start your vehicle and it will simulate a stuck ignition and that's what it will sound like
@@allthingssilver7635starters can get stuck engaged or disengaged. They can also be told by the computer to keep trying to start the motor if the right conditions are met regarding fuel, air, and starting voltage, rpm, etc
Now this was the most entertaining thing I've watched lately.
I love the “hmmmmm” at the end! Like he’s puzzled….YOU ARE MY HERO! Too funny!!
Destroying a car when there’s someone out there struggling to make their car payment
I can imagine the officer's face if they pull you over with all those bottles in the bed! 😂😂
What would he do in that case? Tell them what he really did and have them think he is crazy, or tell them "I love my Booze!" and get a field sobriety test?
They would say “sir I smell a strong odor of alcohol “ have u been drinking”?? 😂
In my state they would say thats open container .
Might be normal in Pennsylvania
Yes you might want to remove all those bottles open container
What happens is you waste perfectly good vodka.
Straight up alcohol abuse.
but g1rls drink vodka like water tho
No waste alcool is not good to drink
FOR SCIENCE!!
Sorry officer, my damn car has been drinking again.
Awesome experiment but I recommend you use Everclear or a strong proof vodka and mix it with a drop of oil
