This is because this way nobody actually pronounces it. Yes, this is where pretty much you touch your mouth with a tip of your tongue. However, you do it for a very brief moment. And oftentimes gently. This way you get soft R, your speech becomes more natural and flowy. Imagine piano - you can hit the keyboard really hard and get this RRR, but unless it very dramatic you play it gently and easily.
I have never seen the finger side-to-side technique before! This provides instant results for me. This is the best video to learn how to roll your R's.
I hope all is well. Found your page from learning to trill my R's for Spanish, but I watched a few other videos and now have an interest in learning more about the culture over there. I don't know what your going through but figured I'd let you know you've had impact on people.
I can pronounce the r in single words or for itself but I struggle to use it in sentences where I don’t really prepare for the r or in a sentence where there are more than one r
I have always struggled with rolling my R. I'll try these methods. I can kinda get the sound good enough in some words by doing a quick T into a D sound but I know it's not right.
Thanks for your video. I have the tongue vibrating. What sound do you make for the R effect while the tongue is vibrating. I think I have a decent sound when combining letters like Dra Dre Dru ext or Tra Tre Tru. But just having a constant R sound I don't know what it sounds like without rolling the tongue can you make a video showing that.
Sitting here following long when it’s my turn “of course I feel stupid doing this“ but, very very big BUT! I think to myself what I want to feel even more stupider, I know that’s not an average word you get my point, “when I try to speak Russian and it is even more horrible because I couldn’t take the time to follow along with the video where I felt too stupid to do so therefore I do so!
Здравствуйте, Лана. Благодарю за видео и Ваш полезный урок русского языка. Я хотел бы узнать, есть ли разница между буквой «р» на русском языке и “rr” на испанском языке?
@@learnwithlana2307 Все понял, Лана! Я говорю по-испански, поэтому этот ответ совершенный для меня. Буду практиковать! Спасибо ещё раз и хорошего Вам дня!
btw this video’s title is so wrong that it is a meme in r/linguistichumor just so you know don’t worry i don’t have any critique on the video it’s alright only that russian has two r’s /r/ and /ɾ/ in the word for fish ( same in polish lol ) most people would use /ɾ/ this doesn’t mean using /r/ is incorrect they’re both good but this just wasn’t the sound this video is focussed on ok so remember alveolar trill /r/ in the word for russian alveolar tap /ɾ/ in the word for fish there is a difference
dAmn, do u want a good joke, i'm here to remind russian "r" pronounciation, i live in Russia and had forgot while tried to learn american "r". The guy went to success...
Thanks for this lesson :) You're right. Rolling R's are very hard to get used to and gets me the most tongue tied.

@@jolevangelista That sounds like a more advanced version.
if you want to master the pronunciation you have to be able to do soft gentle R
I used to be able to do that 35 years ago when I first learnt Russian in China. Thank you for refreshing the memory of my tongue.

super helpful, tysm!
Good video but I'd like it better if you had the graphic showing how to position the tongue while making the sound.
This saved me thank yoh
I hope all is well.

Здравствуйте. В отличие от испанского, в русском звук "р" всегда короткий и звучит как в слове "oro".
