    I love that you not only do the moves, but you teach the root basics to the moves. Such as reviewing what I need to focus on when doing the downward dog. Love your videos & love your book! Thank you.

    I get to do forearm stands at yoga class with the assistance of a teacher but it was my first time trying it out by myself with the help of your video. Fell down a couple of times but always worked my hardest to make it back up. Your videos are highly appreciated. x

    thank you for this practice. it felt great and safe. and thanks to your guidance it was first time I was able to balance the forearm stand without wall. most of the teachers take it too fast, what I love about your classes is you take the time and I can really breath and not rush from pose to pose and than able to do poses correctly :)

    I love that you include savasana in your yoga videos, so many other youtubers simply say 'and now enter savasana for as long as you'd like' and end video and it goes on to another video. The average person will not actually complete savasana, which as you know is so important. So, thank you !

I haven't quite been able to get up into forearm stand... but! Thanks to your little kick off/keep your legs in a V tip, I have been able to get up into headstand and can now take the full expression of that pose and hold it for quite a long time. Thank you for sharing your practice and knowledge! xo Kristine

Then I got really excited about it, fell out of it, and couldn't get back in. Lol. But Yay!!! So glad I decided to do this video today (I was scrolling through the 30 min videos on your app and was like "mehhh might as well try this one")

    Hi Candace, when doing abs, I engaged a lot my neck (front and back) and it's tiring, how can I avoid this please ? Thank you so much.
    After a month, I managed the forearm stand against the wall, it's rewarding inward to come over my fear.

  • @claudinenguyen
    @claudinenguyen 7 лет назад

    Hi Candace, I'm happy I found your channel, I can't stop practicing with you every time I want to practice, a few times a week.
    Where do I put my gaze on during the forearm stand please ?
    Also when doing crow pose, I have the tendency to go ahead and I'm afraid to fall ahead and break my wrists, and the fear stops me a bit from moving forward, how can I avoid going head please ?
    Thank you very much

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  7 лет назад

      For forearm stand - gaze between your arms down on the ground. This may be helpful in addressing fear: yogabycandace.com/blog/2017/3/29/confessions-of-a-yoga-teacher-the-one-pose-i-was-terrified-of. Here are tips for crow pose: yogabycandace.com/blog/common-mistakes-crow-pose. You can also check out my book Namaslay, which breaks down the poses easily: amzn.to/2pbOtmo

    Thank you for this beautiful class!
    I managed to go into forearm stand but only through lifting my head in headstand and moving my hands into prayer. I cant yet push my feet from the ground into forearmstand. I cant do this to get into handstand as well. Only into headstand.
    Do you have any tips how i can improve this?
    Could it be that my feet need to be closer to my elbows, which means that i need to improve Dolphin pose?
    Have a beautiful day :)

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  7 лет назад

      Yes, keep working on dolphin pose with your feet closer to your elbows (this is flexibility through the hips and hamstrings, so hip opening work will be helpful too)

    I loved this practice! Thank you! First time I tried a forearm stand, and I actually managed to stand a couple of seconds with my legs together :D
    But I'm wondering about something, I liked to stand with my hands flat on the ground, but my thumbs touching, so my forearms was shaped like an up-side letter V, is that OK? :)

    As I was checking out this new video, my boyfriend heard "warrior 3" over, and he was like "that sounds like a video game". When I told him there were yoga poses called warrior 1-2-3, he said he would start doing yoga when Warrior 4 came out. He's such a nerd, hahaha. Is there a pose called warrior 4? I'd love him to do some yoga :) Really cool new video, gonna try it later today!

    I didnt dare to do a forearm stand,but I did headstands instead :D I think I should feel confident in headstands before I attempt a forearm stand. Or it would be ok to practice both?

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  9 лет назад +1

      +itsjulie pie Yeah I agree that headstand should be first. Once you feel really confident in headstand then you can give forearm stand a go. :)

    does forearm stand help leading to a hand stand (e.g. balance, core muscle, etc)?

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  9 лет назад

      terry shen It sure does! I always think of it as a progression - first headstand, then forearm stand, then hand stand. :)

  • @colinisnowlostincolorado
    @colinisnowlostincolorado 8 лет назад +1

    Forearm stand... 3... 2... 1... fail, but rolled out of it. I can do the headstand and I wanted to put my head down during this but my balance isn't the best. I can only split leg hop it for a few seconds.

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  8 лет назад +1

      +Colin Erskine Split leg is def the way to go. Just keep working with your legs like that and pushing the ground away from you with your forearms. Soon you'll get there.
