I absolutely enjoyed every second moment of TT’s interview/conference since he was the Chelsea gaffer. The way he dealt with the medias , the wise words he spoke just so satisfying to listen and learn from, he can be a great diplomatic presence if he wants to.
I was surprised with this appointment as it seemed to happen so quickly. Listening to Thomas he’s showing the level of manager we have now leading our national team. I’m sold that the FA have made a wise decision and hopefully the country will get behind him and the team!!
He speaks very well. For a German to come in and have the confidence in himself to take the England job speaks volumes for the man’s character and personality. I actually hope he does well and even wins something for the special players that England are lucky to have at this moment. It seems to be that countries go thru eras of having really good players and getting great results. In the 80s and 90s I remember the Dutch having a great pool of talented players, then around France 98, the French had amazing talent playing all over Europe, also Italy in 90s too. Then it was the era of Spain, all thru the early 2000s and 2010s when they was basically untouchable, their players playing all over Europe in the top teams in the top 5 leagues, then with Belgium, They had some of the best players in Europe 7-8 years ago for a few years. And now I think it’s 100% England that seems to have an abundance of talent. Let’s hope that Tuchel is the man to turn that talent into trophies, because it would be a huge shame for players the likes of Bellingham, Foden, Walker, Trent and Palmer to never win any international tournaments with England And I’m a Scot and a hardcore Scotland fan too! 🏴 🏴
I’m really happy with this appointment. Tuchel is a top manager which is hard to come by in international football. We are very lucky. Hopefully everything goes well and we’ll have a decent chance of actually winning a trophy in my lifetime.

Finally for the very first time in English football, the FA of the English federation has made one of the best decision ever since 1956, by hiring Thomas Tuchel as the English manager ❤🎉
The best possible choice in the circumstances. As a Chelsea fan, he brought us great joy on more than one occasion, and handled himself incredibly well during the transition to the new owners.
A dark day for England'?..." hä? Befinden wir uns noch im zweiten Weltkrieg?
Ignore the newspapers. F**k knows we do... they havent said anything useful since the miners strike in the 70s... Most of the grass roots England fans are very happy we have a decent manager at last. He might get a bit of banter from the fans butit's important you realise it is all in jest. :)
The “dark day” for England has been a dark decade or more, that we don’t produce top level coaches. If there was an obvious top level English coach then that person would obviously have got the job. There’s no “dark day” about appointing a genuinely top level coach to the position. I’m one very happy Englishman that we have appointed such a coach to the role. The “dark day” is the media’s small minded response to his appointment. Welcome Thomas!
😄 well, If you sing your anthem in the German version, you might ressurrect old Kaiser Bill. They used the same melody. Greetings from Germany. 🇩🇪🇬🇧🏴
You can't expect Tuchel to sing the anthem. It isn't FOR him, it's for the players and for the fans. He'll deliver the football, the boys will deliver on the pitch, and the fans will deliver the anthem.
One recurring statement Tuchel always said at Chelsea was that he just wants to coach. International football is the perfect opportunity for him. And he won't have to complain about budgets and player transfers. Hopefully this is a long term decision that works best for both sides.
@@willojames9910he ain't overrated he just can't seem to find his international form apart from that a club level he's world class plus when he's playing out of position and don't get as much as the ball what do you expect is gonna happen?
Foden is absolutely finished. Saka, Palmer and maybe Eze are safe. I can see Mount back in the line up if he plays well. Rashford and Sancho have a chance to prove themselves one last time. I agree. Most of the players are not overrated like everyone says, just had tactically inept managers in the past and now have a good manager to genuinely challenge
England have the best squad in the world, the current banter comes from how poor they look at tournaments. (Got drawn onto the easy side in the last 2 tournaments)
Scratch that, u mean a great coach! Great tactician! Off topic, had Mbappe and Ney taken one of the many chances they had against Bayern in that UCL final, TT would be a 2x champ! PSG were tactically way better especially first half.
Honestly this was a massive plus for me… Seeing how annoyed Neville was only firmed up my conclusion that it’s coming home. Can’t wait to watch Neville eat his own words the little rat boy
The immense talent at TT's disposal is unbelievable. Probably one of the reasons he agreed to this move. Imagine the talents of Phil Foden, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Watkins, AA, Saka, Grealish, Bellingham, Walker, Stones, Mainoo 🙉 and to top it all off your a great coach and one of the best tacticians in the game. Come on something's got to give.
No England fan could expect him to sing the National Anthem. The man is German. I was totally against having a German (or Argentinian) England Manager, but looking at Tuchel's record and listening to him, I am already coming around. Roll on the World Cup! 🏴
Quite frankly, why does it matter which nation the coach of the national team is from? Ask the Greek. They won their only trophy with a German manager. They didn't care the slightest bit that he wasn't Greek.
Anyone hating Tuchel cus he is foreign needs to use 1% of their braincells and realise the English women's team WON THE EUROS with a foreign manager. Lets just hope Tuchel can adapt to the national manager schedule easy cus football wise hes much better than any other english manager no debates
And that no English manager ever won the Premier League. Teams in the other top leagues have coaches from all over the World but no one have English coaches

I would love an English manager to manage England, but football is a business that revolves around results. I’d take TT over any of the current crop of English managers as his trophy cabinet speaks for itself. I absolutely enjoyed every second moment of TT’s interview/conference since he was the Chelsea gaffer. The way he dealt with the medias , the wise words he spoke just so satisfying to listen and learn from, he can be a great diplomatic presence if he wants to.
He's rocking the Charlton Comb-Over
I'm in!
Best comment 😊
See! He DOES care about England!
😁
That’s commitment
Let’s hope that Tuchel is the man to turn that talent into trophies, because it would be a huge shame for players the likes of Bellingham, Foden, Walker, Trent and Palmer to never win any international tournaments with England
And I’m a Scot and a hardcore Scotland fan too! 🏴 🏴
From a Liverpool supporter: I definitely agree with Mark, they got the best candidate for the job.. its not even close.
A lovely man. A propper man manager. Not many about these days.
I’m really happy with this appointment. Tuchel is a top manager which is hard to come by in international football. We are very lucky.
Hopefully everything goes well and we’ll have a decent chance of actually winning a trophy in my lifetime.

'will you sing the anthem?' Ofcourse he will. The King is German.
😄 well, If you sing your anthem in the German version, you might ressurrect old Kaiser Bill. They used the same melody. Greetings from Germany. 🇩🇪🇬🇧🏴
embarrassing
You can't expect Tuchel to sing the anthem. It isn't FOR him, it's for the players and for the fans. He'll deliver the football, the boys will deliver on the pitch, and the fans will deliver the anthem.
One recurring statement Tuchel always said at Chelsea was that he just wants to coach. International football is the perfect opportunity for him. And he won't have to complain about budgets and player transfers. Hopefully this is a long term decision that works best for both sides.
At least Tuchel won't be scared to drop Foden out as he WILL NOT pander to the English fans/pundits for a single second! 👏
Yes! Foden is grossly overrated

Foden is absolutely finished. Saka, Palmer and maybe Eze are safe. I can see Mount back in the line up if he plays well. Rashford and Sancho have a chance to prove themselves one last time. Foden will still play but very limited minutes. I think Bellingham might end up in the front line with palmer and Saka at LWB.

Bantering England has passed, now they are legit attacking every trophy in sight,to me best national team now
I agree. Most of the players are not overrated like everyone says, just had tactically inept managers in the past and now have a good manager to genuinely challenge
Please never stop the banter. We will probably go out on penalties in the quarter final 😂
But they bottle it under pressure. They lost 2 Euro finals.

@@dschoene57 he did say he loves the national anthem

Anyone hating Tuchel cus he is foreign needs to use 1% of their braincells and realise the English women's team WON THE EUROS with a foreign manager. Lets just hope Tuchel can adapt to the national manager schedule easy cus football wise hes much better than any other english manager no debates
And that no English manager ever won the Premier League. Teams in the other top leagues have coaches from all over the World but no one have English coaches

This could work, when you really think about it objectively.
They would have won 2 tournaments with anybody of top6 standard as a manager. Which Tuchel is. The question is - will one of the most lucky series of tournament draws in international football history continue?
@@brianboyle2681hope not, I think England needs to get the difficult draws to create character if we reach a final as without facing big teams in the knockouts, we really aren’t prepared for the teams in the final
Tuchel has been one of the best manager in world football, Tuchel has taken 3 different teams to Champions League Finals in the last 5 years, winning one final with Chelsea. Quality manager, England definitely need Tuchel for sure.

I would love an English manager to manage England, but football is a business that revolves around results. I’d take TT over any of the current crop of English managers as his trophy cabinet speaks for itself. Gareth has done a fantastic job getting England to be a more functional and coherent group but sadly just couldn’t quite get the job finished. I think TT will add some more fire and flare to the bedrock left by Gareth and hopeful we can finally get the results that justify the quality of players that we as a country have! Good luck Thomas and bring us them trophies 💪💪
Except of the CL title his trophy cabinet isn't really that good when you have a closer look how he won the other titles in France and Germany. And the Club World Cup is a laughable competition. This trophy is basically guarenteed if you win the CL. And UEFA supercup is one match vs an Europaleague team
@@sehu1291 Not going to lie, I don't care how he won trophies but simply that he has.
