Nobody stays at the top forever. What seems to get lost in all of this is the impact these quality clubs have had on the other teams in the EPL over the last decade. Every year teams get better, players get better, managers get better. In the best league in the world any team can beat any other team on an given day. It isn't necessarily that teams lose their footing, but more likely the others have found them out.

Already using terms like 'getting away with it' is absolutely hilarious. The media do make me laugh. This is the poorest United squad in over 40 years and he hasn't signed any of them. He's not culpable for any of this mess and to even mention him not doing well enough is absolutely ridiculous. You can't say the squad is bang average and then say you expect better results instantly. It's one or the other surely? Ruben has the full backing of the United fans. He's taking the bullets for mistakes he didn't make.

We will not lose patience with Amorim. I don’t care if we finish 17th this season but get rid of 80% of these players in the summer
Edit: Even if we get relegated I don’t care because the root cause of the issue is bad recruitment and inability to sell players. So until that changes we will never be able to get back to the glory days.

17:06 I am with Sherwood. Winning press conferences and loosing games is political and criminal. Soon he will loose the dressing room. Unless Ineos have a hand in Rashford Saga, the manager has no reason to truly justify why Rashford is being treated like that. Is he the only underperforming player in the squad?? If he is, why is the team still loosing now that he is out? Every press conference the coach praises Mason Mount but for us the fans, we see nothing in mount. If he came to improve players, everyone should have been equal opportunity of improving and not pushing other players out. I am not seeing improvement in strikers- Zirkzee's body language cannot be any worse and our defenders are getting worse every other game.

I see United fans saying they don't care where they finish this season, Amorim should get time etc. But with this same squad, Ten Hag won the FA Cup. How is it acceptable at such a big club to get terrible results, regardless of the situation at the club? In Italy if Amorim continues to lose, a third manager of the season would be coming in. Like Napoli last season or Roma this season.

Man United has a loss of DNA, a loss of identity. No matter how good, the coaches (Moyes, Van Gaal, Ten Haag, Morinho and now Amorin) and players/superstars (Di Maria, Pogba, Falcao, Sancho, Varane, Casemiro, even Ronaldo on his return...) were successful United, only at United nothing works.
