“You eat pieces of shit for breakfast??” One of the most hilarious lines ever.
Came here to say that lol
???.... NO!
@@normandy4 my favorite response 😂😂😂
It's the delivery that makes it great. He's holding back snorting laughter as he says it. He threw a bit of high voice in the question.
And he cut it out
Christopher McDonald is a criminally underrated actor. His performance as Shooter is seriously one of the best comedic villains in film history. He's right up there with Ben Stiller in Dodgeball, and Colin Farrell in Horrible Bosses.
He also plays a great villain in Dirty Work.
He played a good dad for beaver
Lawn Dogs and Grind.
Love him in Requiem for a Dream. Perfect casting on that one.
Don't forget Biodome!
So my brother saw Christopher McDonald in an airport a few years ago and said "Hey shooter!" Christopher McDonald replied all annoyed "Seriously dude, that movie's like 20 years old." My brother's thinking man what a dick, and when he starts to walk away McDonald calls out, "Hey!", my bro turns around, and McDonald in character with the fingers goes "Bang, bang!". Best interaction ever.
Christopher is, by all accounts, a great person. Great story here!
Yelling "Hey shooter!" in an airport might not be the best idea.
I wonder if that was a planned thing, or if Christopher just felt bad and did a last-minute save!
@@mrsilver8517 just like saying "HI Jack " in an airport is a bad idea. 😆
“You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut the hell up.
Now you will go to sleep or I will put you to sleep.”
Check out the name tag. You're in my world now, grandma.
Oh, your fingers hurt? Well now your back's going to hurt bc you just pulled landscaping detail.
Love how much Ben Stiller plays a douchebag in this. 😂
Anybody else's fingers hurt?? I didn't think so.
@@StandUpComedyFan28m my friends senior quote
“You’ve solved golf”. That’s the best quote I’ve ever heard
Yeah I laughed pretty hard about that.
I believe the Christopher McDonald once said this was one of his favorite roles, because afterwards a lot of places let him run their courses for free.
He even goes by "Shooter McGavin" on his Cameo page.
Makes sense since he also loves playing golf in real life.
“Oh you can count.”
“Yes, and you can count, on me seeing you in the parking lot.”

“You just hit that guy” “well he shouldn’t have been standing there”🤣🤣🤣
The water boy has the best running dropkick in movie history
Not even 5 minutes in and Brandon looks like he's having a great time 🤣 such a quotable movie
5 minutes into Netflix and Chill and Brandon gives you this look: 😏😏😏😏
So good. Please do Billy Madison! It’s my fav. Sandler movie
@@MrParkerman6 😳 😳
Bob Barker did most of his own stunts in the fight scene, he actually knew how to fight and trained in karate with Chuck Norris. He told the director to forget about using a stuntman on the literal day of shooting😂
In his book, Bob claimed that the only part he didn't do was the roll down the hill, and that a stuntman broke his back.
Bob was actually going to turn down the role, but then he learned he was going to win the fight and immediately accepted.
Adam Sandler LOVED "The Price is Right" so much that Bob Barker had him on the show during Bob's last appearance and played the "fight clip" from this movie adding that it was the subject he was most questioned about...
but.... "the price is wrong".... lol.
@@jfn2462 A quote everyone knows!
Adam Sandler was supposed to win the fight in the original script but Bob Barker absolutely refused to do the movie unless he won the fight.
@@0001captainawesome the movie was better off with that decision lol
@@katra777 Oh most definitely. I think so too. It's just interesting.
Shooter McGavin: "Oh, you can count. Good for you."
Mr. Larson: "And you can count, on me, waiting for you in the parking lot."
I love how sandler threw a final line part to famous bond villian Jaws (Richard Kiel) a good payday for a actor that deserved it.
Quite a career for Richard Kiel
Was surprised he got totally cut out of this reaction
"Your ball struck my foot, Shooter!"
Love that character.
I really need to give props to Christopher McDonald for the "Eat shit for breakfast" joke. His reaction takes it from an amusing joke, to maybe the best joke in the movie.
My buddies and I still quote this movie to eachother 25 years later. It's so classic.
Just give it a tappity tap tap.
To this day whenever I see a limo, "Must be Burt Reynolds or something."
@@JerryTheCarry420 Our thing is any time one of us unexpectedly succeeds at something we do the "Happy learned how to put - uh oh!"
The fight scene with Adam Sandler and Bob Barker is the best part of the movie! Lol!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The face that Bob Barker makes when he grabs Happy Gilmore by the throat is legendary.
If you haven’t seen it I recommend watching The Wedding Singer. One of his best in my opinion
I saw that for the first time this past year and I was surprised by how wholesome it was!
Fun movie. His fighting style is, of course, from Hockey - you pull the other guy's sweater over his head so he can't swing or see, then start wailing on him.
Missed artifact of a time gone by from a not yet 30 hockey fan. Jersey's are by rule now to be tied/snapped down upon penalty and ejection. Miss the old ways of getting down to pads and throwing down.
Hockey is such a weird sport.
You mean "ice hockey"! Hockey is a different sport of its own but exists, too.
@@chanceneck8072 well I'll be damned.
@@izzykoopa6046 It´s ok. Many people make that mistake. As evidenced by the film itself. Normal hockey is a pretty lame sport anyway, I´m not even sure, if they play it in the U.S. But Europe and Scandinavia, I´m pretty sure....
One of those endlessly quotable movies. Also the actor who played Shooter is Christopher McDonald. He plays the same asshole character in every movie he's in. 😂 He's amazing in The Iron Giant if you've never seen that.
And Flubber! I only ever saw him in this and Flubber and thought it was strange that he's basically the same character in both :p
Coincidentally, I just saw him in a Star Trek The Next Generation episode. "Yesterday's Enterprise" (Season3 Episode 15). If you want to see him in something that's not the same type of character.
I thought his voice was familiar!
Sweet old woman while knitting: “My fingers hurt”
“O your fingers hurt? We’ll now your backs gonna hurt, because you just pulled landscaping duty.”
"Yea well this is hand made quality shit we're talkin here!"

"YOU'RE GONNA DIE CLOWN!!!!"
never fails to get me. i truly believe he had anger towards that clwon off set as well..
"Here comes the putter throw! Wait. He's restrained himself. Maybe this is a new Happy Gilmore." Love this movie.
This and The Waterboy were my favorites of Sandler’s.
I concur.
I can always watch those movies.
At a rental out of state way back when, Happy Gilmore was the only VHS around and the only TV to watch.
Wasn't even a problem. Put that on repeat the whole week. Must have seen it a few dozen times if you put it all together. Still can watch it today.
90's good times
Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, and Waterboy. The triforce of Sandler movies.
Big daddy, mr deeds and anger management for me
Bob saying "Now you've had enough....bitch" had me dying for years growing up as a child.
This has to be Sandler's best comedy film. It never gets old! BTW you have a great laugh, you always make me crack up when your start laughing.
It's not for nothing that Sandler named his production company Happy Madison. They were his first hits, but also among his most beloved. I don't think there was any danger of him calling it Bulletproof Deeds.
@@michaelw8262 which in all fairness is an awesome name. Sounds like a Slash project post Velvet Revolver.
@@michaelw8262 Thank You i never thought about that
I feel like Zohan is a VERY CLOSE second
I don't usually watch his movies but I had to see it because of the infamous fight with Bob Barker. One of the most ridiculous and hilarious comedy scenes of all time.
The fight with Bob Barker is absolutely legendary.
Ah, the golden age of Sandler. It was a happy time, a Happy Gilmore time.
Mr. Deeds, Little Nicky, The Waterboy, Don't Mess With The Zohan, and Billy Madison are all fantastic Adam Sandler classics! Would love to see your reaction on any of these!
The Waterboy is probably the best known of all those, but Billy Madison is the better movie. Mr Deeds is great…the other two, not so much.
Like 2 of those are fantastic adam Sandler classics
How can you leave out the Wedding singer?
Zohan was terrible
Zohan is not funny c'mon now.
I ALWAYS have to watch Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison as a pair
"Hey, my gf's dead ya know. She fell off a cliff, and died on impact."

Waterboy is another good one, if you’ve never seen it you need to🤙 love your videos man! Always making my day better! Much love and Respect brother🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Waterboy isn't another good one, it's the pinnacle of Adam Sandler's career. The quality of his movies started out kind of low, increased in quality reaching its peak with the great Waterboy, then declined in comedic greatness from there. At least in my opinion.
Love waterboy
According to IMDB, Bob Barker accepted the role after learning he was going to win the fight with Adam Sandler. He also insisted on doing his own stunts instead of using a stunt double.
Shooter McGavin is a top 10 bad guy of all time, for sure
I would have never thought this but I cant disagree you lol
He's one of my favorite characters of all time. Never fails to crack me up.
He has a lifetime membership on any golf course in the world lol.

But he is a straight Shooter.
The fact that you edited out the Happy Place montage is a crime against humanity.
I was gonna say that...
Didn't wanna be 'that' guy ...
And, how does Adam Sandler get such good 'talent' for his love interest in his movies...
Oh, wait, nm
No, it’d be a crime to leave it in, it’s copyright protected.
Shooter McGavin did the voice of the detective in The Iron Giant! If you haven't seen The Iron Giant, you are missing out BIG time!
That is such an awesome movie.
This and billy Madison are the ultimate Sandler movies…I do enjoy most the others tho
Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Water Boy
Yeah Sandler was at his best when he was young and his characters were full of rage.
You Don’t Mess With the Zohan was surprisingly decent. Any movie that features a character subtly using his eyeglasses to scoop hummus can’t be all bad.
Hard disagree. Waterboy > all other Adam Sandler movies. Hell, one of the funniest movies ever.
Water boy has to be in that list
THIS GUY?! That’s Kevin Nealon, legend.
Loved him in Weeds

Just taaaaap it in ⛳️
This movie is a masterpiece for Adam Sandler. This is like the Godfather of his career
The dude peaked way, WAY too early.
I'd say Billy Madison is his Godfather and Happy is his Godfather II
Not well known but still really funny. Check out Bulletproof. He’s gold in that movie..
4:07 TRIUMPH THE INSULT COMIC DOG...well the guy that puts his arm up his ass

To me, the actor who plays Shooter will always be acting Captain Castillo of the Enterprise C.

The guy in charge of the PGA Tour is the Director of this and many more great comedies, Dennis Dugan.
Ben Stiller's cruel nurse character makes an appearance in Sandler's, Hubie Halloween.
Wait is that Apollo Creed?! How did I not notice him?!
Bob Barker, absolute legend.
Did he cut out all of Mr. Larsen’s parts? One of the best characters in the movie IMO
I was lucky enough to attend a taping with a friend of The Price Is Right while Bob Barker was still hosting in the early 2000s. During commercial breaks he'd engage with the audience and tell jokes and whatnot. Anyway, during one of the breaks, the audience was trying to goad him into saying "that line" from Happy Gilmore. He hemmed and hawed and dragged it out, saying "now look, this is a family show and I'm going to check with my producer first to see if it's all right. If he says I can say the line then I will. But if he says I'm NOT allowed to say it..." The audience noise level went up, trying to persuade the producer to let him say the line. Finally, Bob turns to his producer and literally asks the question like this: "These fine people want to know if I can say 'the price is right, BITCH'!!" Instant eruption from the audience. XD
Man, Bob is a legend.
Barker was the master of teasing a crowd.
Have you noticed how a lot of Adam Sandler's movies have him play the same kind of character. An emotionally stunted man child. But in movies like say Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison where he eventually grows up. In Uncut Gems his character Howard never does.
Modern day Jerry Lewis
I never made that connection! That’s cool as hell. It’s like the tragic, gritty version of his typecast.
That's cuz he is producer and he casts himself in roles where he just can be himself. DUH!
Who is always with a woman way out of his league.
Yeah except Punch Drunk Love where he is always repressed and serious.
Damn surprised you haven't seen this one, this is a classic for sure
Definitely one of Sandlers best comedies if not his best. So many great quotes and memorable characters. At the time of this release Ben stiller was virtually unknown and definitely not a household name. His father was the more famous one. Yet he made an impact with the few short scenes he had. Unforgettable!
Aw you missed the scenes where shooter is running after he steals the jacket and happy's "bad" place
"It's all in the hips" comes up again in Little Nicky as what Reese Witherspoon's character and her friends in heaven begin chanting at some point. Actually, it turns out Chubbs is the reason for that too as I just learned from a clip on RUclips. I'd never actually watched the movie.

We used to rent VHS movies for my grandfather once a week -- war movies, anything about the navy. One week we rented him some Steven Seagal movie about him defending a battleship or whatever. We went to pick up and return the VHS and I asked my grandfather "Was it any good?" He said, "It was funny as hell!" I said, "... what? Really?" "Oh yeah," he said. "When he beat up Bob Barker, that was really something."
The wrong VHS had been in the case, and he'd watched Happy Gilmore, and loved it.
