    Nice conversion 👍🏻. As an upcoming gas engineer your videos have been really helpful and informative - especially wiring and fault finding. Keep up the great content 💪🏻

    I worked in local authority blocks for many years. Lots of them the vents join in the loft and then have a single vent into the communal tank. Also a lot of those old pipes are imperial 3/4 so not always easy to connect to🤷🏼‍♂️

      Gotcha, good thing I capped the bottom end of the vent on my end too just in case 😅

    Quality work lads. Great pipe bending which looks so professional looking....compared to the previous install with the flexi connectors which was a total mess. As for the schoolboy error....we all make them buddy. Your videos are superb and very enjoyable, keep them coming. 👍

      The box that the boiler came in is often good to protect worktops against knocks and they dont slide around.

    That old vent / hot water, would it not be better to cut it down and cap? Could be a dead leg legionella risk?

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  5 месяцев назад +1

      It was coming up from concrete and there wasn't much room or play to cut it much further down

  • @user-cc8fz8kf5v
    @user-cc8fz8kf5v 5 месяцев назад +1

    Did you need to cap the bottom of the vent pipe is that not a dead pipe? Cheers

    As someone new to the trade, for a system like this, the vent pipes that go up to the tank, can you technically speaking cut the vent from the top and remove the whole section of pipe or is somehow the vent pipe all linked from flat to flat? Only ever worked on houses so this has thrown me a bit, any insight chigs thanks

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes in theory you're correct, you might just get a MASSIVE piece of scrap copper 😂 but I've heard some people say they can also ask tee in somewhere above and we wouldn't know

    • @GasTraining
      @GasTraining 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@cputilitysolutionshow would they tee in? Under what circumstances would they tee in to the vent pipe that would make logical sense? If the job was say on the middle floor; would you still have terminated the pipework with the vent cut and capped and the hot outlet pipe the exact same way? Sorry for so many questions lol.

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@GasTraining yes still would have done it the same way. Like I said it's a theory I've not seen it myself before but some have said it can be done like that. I would think they would be tee'd in much further up towards the CWST
