Tyler makes such a strong point here talking about fans and the internet - I'm very appreciative that he was able to talk about it. The spiderman meme is so spot-on in describing how the internet draws connections to every little thing, making people homogenous. It's such a negative side of globalization and technological development, and it's sad because it leads to the burying of roots. People don't/won't know where certain aspects of culture, life, and history come from without doing better research (which the average internet user likely will not, especially young people) and instead just follow what is being thrown around, said, or shown to them on their screen. It's kinda like roots to everything have been dug up and mixed around together online - nobody knows what comes from what anymore. I'm hopeful about it changing, definitely not altogether, but the fans who do see Tyler's interviews and listen may realize their place in that, in his fanbase and in general. Many of his talks on youtube are super informational and valuable, and if he keeps putting out that message I hope people will follow along. Great interview!
True also I feel like its because people don't believe in themselves enough to trust that what they create is cool so they feel safer when they make It similar to something that they already love or gets attention
i agree with everything you said. id also like to add how incredibly dismal the amount of people who can see eye to eye with others actually is, or at least, in this day and age. nobody is willing to set aside what they believe in, their biases and prejudices, to try their best to understand where another person is coming from and why
I'm here because my son (who is such a fan of music and 20 years) asked me to listen to this album and give my thoughts. I did it, listened to the whole album Chromokopia. I instantly knew this young man was a musician, and that he loved music as a craft. It was extremely artistic and creative. I grew up in 80-90's music and have not really listened to much since because the art of music is quite different but I know every person has a gift, and he uses his gift, talent, and skill. Much success to this young man! He has my son's attention and he's always been a creative genius to me so I definitely wanted to hear the music once he shared how much he enjoyed this artist's work.

Really enjoyed this, but Maverick still has a long way to go as an interviewer. When Tyler opened up about the Eminem recovery comments, I couldn’t believe he didn’t ask anymore questions and dive deeper into that.
lol he asked him what he did earlier today and Tyler then spoke about what he wanted to for the next 25 minutes. He'd definitely decided to bring up the Eminem apology and the Ian criticism beforehand
i know how you feel , but to be honest Tyler was the one that brought up Em into the conversation first as he knows that thing was running through his heart in lifetime that need to express it out
@@badrulamin8013Their point is WHEN Tyler brought it up, the interviewer had an opportunity to redirect him by asking further questions pertaining to Eminem. Tbh Tyler drove the entire interview and there were a lot of missed opportunities for the interviewer to dive into more specifics since he just allowed Ty to take the steering wheel. I enjoyed listening to Tyler, but for the people that may have wanted him to elaborate on certain topics…I can see why they’d be upset that Maverick didn’t properly direct the conversation.

its been 15 years that Bastard dropped , time flies !
enormously uplifting this interview ..
i think we underestimate how valuable this man his words are wen he sits down and just talks
i know i did. love this guy so genuine
Tyler, The Goat. Love that he speaks what he feels needs to be said. One of the many reasons why he's one of my favorites.
Tyler rocking the "estate sale" fit
Not really it's cmiygl
@@Chandiwila999nigga that’s what op said?
@@Chandiwila999estate sale is the deluxe version of cmiygl he has that fit on on the cover
@@sherrodwright999 the estate sale has a Ushanka and blue Cardigan/Jersey while tyler in this video is kind of the opposite which why I'm saying its closer to CMIYGL tyler cause That one wore lots of outfits (I know I like being specific)
@@sherrodwright999 he’s wearing a whole ass cardigan on that cover 😂. That’s a new le Fleur* polo that hasn’t even been released yet
This interview is SO GOOD! The conversation is good but THE COLORS oh my goodness. The camera they used is really cool and reminds me of a sitcom, Tyler’s outfit colors go perfectly with the background and the camera angles are just perfect. Well done
Ty for pointing this out, a very underrated element to these things.
Yes the colors are beautiful!!
this is so heartfelt and real i just love how real of a person tyler is
This conversation should have been longer honestly 😢😢😢I love to hear him talk about music dude is really really passionate about it & extremely good at it!!! 🔥🔥
the more time passes the more i respect this guy as an artist and person
As someone working on music before dropping I really related to his process of making music. It’s an art. And not enough people understand that
Yeah fr
loved this interview. Tyler has such a truthful perspective on music today. great to hear from him again.
Man I love Tyler to bits. An artist true to its meaning. I will be seeing him live in May in Prague. Cannot wait
Tylers Music Knowledge is God Tier. You can tell he took do what you love to another level.
15:38 He’s so real for this
Its funny cause the channel did exactly what he says. The trailer for the interview is him complaining bout sum shit 😂
REAL
HE IS SPEAKING FACTS
His Grindr profile
Watching Tyler growth (alongside mine, we're about the same age) over time has been one of my favorite things in life. Mad love for this brother for sure, one of my favorite artists too
i love his authenticity and true passion for music
Tyler is such a genuine person. So self-aware, passionate, creative, animated, unique, wise, thoughtful...he's gonna leave such a mark on this world & he already has. Bless his heart 💫
Tyler wearing the hat to hide the Chromakopia haircut 😂
I respect Tyler's take on Hip Hop and Culture so much. He be on point every time.
The things Tyler does to give my confidence a bit of a boost, man 🔥 we need new music soon
Tyler The Creator's Chormakopia is so incredible, and the production, rapping, messages, and concepts are beautiful. I believe that this album is the best that has dropped this year
Great interview. I’m glad Tyler is happy, and loving his life.
A NEW TYLER INTERVIEW YESSS MISSED THEM SM
i love hearing his thoughts on everything bro i missed seeing tyler in interviews
he sounds confident af, happy for him!
21:34 probably the coolest thing I've seen following Tyler's music for so long. He's had such an unapologetic image throughout his entire career that to hear the story he tells in this part of the video is pretty awesome. I remember seeing the Eminem interview where he pretty much looked so disappointed with how vocal Tyler was about his hatred for the album, and I low key felt kinda sad for him. Cool to see T acknowledge his shortcomings in that moment and want to make amends with him
5:31 YOOOOOO “Eyes Better Not Wonder” slaps. He just put me on! And that off beat but on beat on that song reminds me sooomuch of how Tyler starts songs
That song is so fire 🔥
I can’t understand time signatures for ANYTHING but I was so obsessed w eyes better not wander since I heard it.
Damn this gotta be one of my fav Tyler interviews
You gotta check out his interviews with Nardwuar!
I remember “The Box.” It was my introduction to many artists. Tyler is speaking facts with everything he said regarding certain fans crossing boundaries and society, all the way to phones and music.
he mentions sade as an influence, he mentions eyes better not wander by nicole
options? “such a good album imma put that on when i get in the car”
dj quik
he mentions the show called painkillers talking bout eminem recovery
I love it when Tyler talks about music that he likes. I'd love to hear his playlist
So refreshing to see an artist with such a nuanced humble perspective on life 🙏🏾
Mentioning Julian just as I'm about to listen to the strokes 19:39
Yea that caught me off guard especially since everyone else mentioned was somewhat hip hop adjacent lol

@@falconscoop4848From watching one of his naudwaur interviews the dude clearly just ADORES music of any sort

11:14 i always loved NEW MAGIC WAND since high school
18:16 “I am a music nerd.” It is my best quote as a fan❤❤❤❤❤
I could hear this man talks for hourssss his vocabulary is infectious
