I always come back to this video when i'm feeling a little lost, Tyler really has a way with words and just hearing him give his thoughts straight and calling you stupid for not being authentic it's a great way to snap out of whatever mental turmoil you got going on.
I saw Tyler at larchmont like very early this year. All I said was “happy new year” and he threw me a peace sign. Sickest celebrity interaction I’ve had
I love how genuine and truthful he is, nobody like you Tyler keep up the great work and I hope you enjoy yourself frfr! real ones will be here and wait for whenever you drop. you're a human first and foremost before anything else, find time to understand yourself and have fun doing what you love 💗
listening to him talk so passionately about art in these interviews is always so refreshing and so human. everything definitely feels so superficial now, so it's always like a breath of fresh air to hear him speak about certain memories, eras, and just little cute things that he enjoyed/enjoys that fuels the creativity for his work. makes me wanna get up, go outside, and find something cute i enjoy
I love how Tyler talks about music like people talk about food, wine, or anything to be passionate about. He's a blessing to music lovers, and I'm not religious.
I think I really needed to watch this cause i have been struggling with coming back to music. I really wanna do it but it really messed me up when i put so much into my first album & it flopped. Yes, i did get some love for it but i knew it was good. Now i am thinking like,”ok, yes it was good. But it can always get better. Maybe that version wasn’t it? Don’t just stop.”
I feel Tyler on the subject of music. I can listen to songs from the 70s 80s and 90s... and can tell you what I was doing, going through, the energy/ vibe during that time and how that song made me feel, the impact of the beat and lyrics. Music is a soul stirring, heart felt, mind blowing composition that can take you to and from something and give you a feeling you never thought you needed. I dont study music... I feel it. I love when the art of music, no matter the genre, gives me a euphoric feeling to a point of crying. I love when a beat hits and all I want to do is dance. I love when music is deeply rooted in culture that you listen to the lyrics and understand each verse. I love the diversity and creativity in the art of music.
@@TheRapRadarPodcast Man, this interview so wonderful, it doesn't matter. It's a blessing watching or listening to it two times. Y'all the goats! Y'all the big 3 ahahah
first time watching the podcast (ill watch anything with Tyler im such a big fan of his) I gotta say I love how respectful this interview was. I see a lot of people are soooo bad at interrupting and talking over like crazy but this was like a breath of fresh air
Vince has spoken about 2006 before in his album from the G's perspective, but I'm so happy to hear Tyler give it more color and flavor...it truly was the an important year in black culture, especially on the West.
Let me tell you I LOVE TF out of Tyler sooooooo much. Good God I wish I could only have music conversations with ppl like him bc HE GETS WTF ITS ABOUT. All these idiots online wanna transform everything into a sport format and just throw away the fact that it’s art (YES including hiphop) bc talking about what you love isn’t spicy enough. This is more common with my male friends who feel like they HAVE to talk about music in that way. Every time I hear about his music taste and music listening process, I fall in love again lmao. I caught on late to him sometime between Cherry Bomb and Flowerboy, and I can honestly say he lit a spark in me for creative endeavors, but also with being unapologetic. The one thing about him is he has always been unapologetic about who he is, not for the “looks” of it (which is how most ppl who THINK they’re unapologetic move), but because the love he has for whatever he loves is waaaay stronger than peer pressure, which I 100% respect, as someone who HATES ppl who are slaves to public opinion. So I am so proud of how far he’s come. Also, lowkey, I’m also proud of the fact that he seemed to also have issues with older black men and super hypermasculine men personas, used to get teased by everyone when he was young, but the more he grew in his craft, trusted himself, now those same type of men are genuinely interested in his work and respect him and give him love for being exactly as he is and doing him. Always find what you strongly love, stand on it, build on it, be smart about how you will offer it, but always be willing to defend it, and the place it comes from. Tyler does all that with his art and I respect it so much.
The reason RUclips does better than TikTok is because all the real heads are on youtube. You are not finding playlists filled with rare 90s hip hop remixes on TikTok, but RUclips is full of them. So it doesn't surprise me at all that Sorry Not Sorry did better on RUclips in the slightest.
I don't care what Tyler says - If I call you bro or someone does that to me ill take that as a sign of respect. Respect changes between different groups lol
Also I think people can have a discussion about music without faulting each other. I don't just want to o hear about someone's tastes, but I want to express mine and compare. With that being said Tyler is spitting on everything else.
I have been struggling with writing and when hearing Tyler’s way of speaking and explaining how to execute writing just makes me feel much better also who wants to go to Tyler’s concert as well because I asked my parents and I’m having problems either way getting them to say yes but if I convince them I can’t wait to see you in person Tyler you are an amazing artist and love your energy you do funny and you music is just perfect❤ ❤❤
I got really excited when he talked about Okaga,CA (the last song on cherry bomb) cause thats my favorite song on the album. He made a tweet about wanting to preform it live some time but not knowing how to execute it and I still think about it. I will forever adore the pure unbridled artistic expression tyler executed through cherry bomb, specifically okaga, ca because its such a beautiful song. Sounds like the end credits too a movie.
1:25:21 ANALOG MENTIONED FUCKING FINALLY. the chords on that song are the best ever. the whole structure of that song is amazing to me and i wished he performed it more and appreciate that piece of art more cus it’s imo the best song off goblin if not one of the best well made, lyrically and production wise. same thing with analog two where it ends and u here that tiktok noise and it comes back to those sexy ass chords and vocals. 😪
mate this guy is fuckin top, im 53, i wanted to be a performer when i was younger, BUT there is always but which effected my creativity, its made another appearance late in life it makes me happy to hear him say that age aint a problem, ive been influenced by tcq dls im goona be a rapper and im old and white, i love this guy, true artist, Compliments not needed, im aware of greatness, Im peaking
Tyler is just so dope. I love him so much!!!! It’s so cool to see how much he’s grown but how he’s still that crazy ass kid we met over 10 years ago. He’s a true artist and needs to be respected as such!
cherry bomb was so under appreciated!! loved that album in hs, find your wings is perfect but i always bumped pilot whenever school got out, blow my load, okaga?!?! the perfect video to introduce the album was geniussss mfs were not expecting that after wolf. saw tyler live for first time w/ that album, he was doing smaller venues too so you got to see him up close and he was still performing wolf songs too ahhh it was perfect! chur bum and igor go toe to toe for my fav albums of his
I really can't get why Tyler is one of the only rappers really coming after the hypocrisy of organized religion and addressing the colonizer aspect of it. One of the main reasons I loved the OF era specifically because of that growing up in the Bible Belt and I resonated with him speaking on that so hard. Dude's a legend full stop.
This was a great interview. I really vibe with Tyler's mindset. It's a little abrasive, but if you actually listen to what he is saying and don't react to the surface level. It's a chefs kiss!
This was aired on my birthday last year. I can't even believe I'm here at this point in my career, but I know I have more work to do; I need that E. Wilson B. Dot look. And that'll be the interview. Tyler is amazing in his craft of course and I hope to even be next to him soon too one day. I'm writing this comment here as confirmation that it will happen.
I’ve had several interactions with people who have told me they thought some artist sucked. Which is fine, to each their own. I wasn’t going to let that affect the memories I have listening to those musicians. We all lead our own paths.. I guess the only thing I can take away from that is you don’t have to insinuate that something is lame just because you don’t like it.
@1:27:20 He performed at Coachella and playing lollapalooza too. Hes probably just doing festivals or one off performances this year. And he'll go on a serious tour whenever he drops the next album.
