I really hope he never does this. When celebs get a podcast they over-saturate. I had to ask myself like, when did Kevin get ANOTHER podcast? 😵💫 He had Cold As Balls, Hart to Heart or sums like that. Joe Budden had like “Pull Up” and like 5 other pods, Charlemagne the God had like 8 of um lol… although it makes a lil more sense for him being from radio. But for the rappers, actors, and athletes….I be wanting them to fall back sometimes. Vince IS the conversation piece. Selfishly, I don’t want to see him caught up in being the one “chasing views”.
Never considered the perspective of, “gangs are marginalized people trying to adopt structure, because we’re not allowed in the other structures”. I’m literally at home taking notes at 4:30am. Too good 🔥🔥
Idk if it’s just me but Vince seems really at peace. This one of the first conversations I seen him not really in a joking attitude but still heavily engaged in the discussion. I fw this interview heavy
Bro if you understand Vince like I imagine u do, you can tell by his posture his absorbing game from Kevin. With this being such a new show, he’s a perfect guess … especially cuz Vince will be outta here in about 1 or 2. Sky is the limit for Vince Staples bro. Real rap.
@@jrcolacola most humor is rooted in truth. His comedy is dry humor like Kev said. It’s a reason why there isn’t a lot of funny moments in this interview like Vince’s other interviews, he’s not making punchlines and analogies like he typically does.
Yeah, he’s always serious, but it seems different (not in a bad way) in this interview compared to all the others I’ve seen over the years. I can’t explain it
I was knee deep in a video, opened RUclips to see what they were talking about, saw Vince, and instantly clicked! Happens every single time with him 🙏🏾

Within the first seven minutes, this was already one of the most brilliant conversations and sharing of intellect and experience and evolution between two black men! VINCE STAPLES IS A GIFT TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY AND TO THE WORLD. OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS HIM FIRST ALL WHILE ALL HIS ATTRIBUTES ARE BENEFICIAL TO THE PLANET! First 10 minutes in and I’m already just at awe! Vince is such an intellectual and creative! He spoke my sentiments for years about the whole, “making it out the hood” trope. Like no, you remove the humanity and reality of people who were PUT and many are intentionally KEPT in poverty. Your community is not the enemy. Capitalism, Greed, Systemic Racism, etc.. is what destroys communities. When you’re too focused on surviving, there’s no room for love and community. Excellent Interview, Kev!
vince has a skit on one of his albums with his mom talking about singing in the church choir with her gun in her purse. it does not surprise me that she pulled a stunt like that 😂
MAN!!! this was an amazing podcast. Vince is a young genius for real. His upbringing, environments, and experiences have shaped him into a very impactful young man. As a 53 yr old "hyphenated" man I have to say that this is one of the dopest if not THE DOPEST podcast interviews I've had the pleasure of listening to and watching. I believe all generations can get take a few things away from this video. Both Vince and Kevin show us what fearless hard work can get you. The jewels dropped by both of these gentlemen are so priceless that they can be used in every aspect of life regardless of the hyphens. I suggest sharing this with the younger generation who might need that extra push to reach their potential.

VInce really is an incredibly special human being. His knowledge and widsom he carries regarding not only subjects/topics that society tends to put under the label of "street smarts", but also both intra & interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, US/Black/world/local history, business (especially within the music/entertainment industry and how those institutions as well as every US institution outside of that industry have been set up from the jump to exploit minorities), along with his critical thinking & logic skills, and hella more that I'm missing. I can't wait to keep following VInce's career and see everything he will end up accomplishing.
