  • I cut off their water supply by making an assumption that wasn't correct. Luckily I was able to rectify it and get it back up and running again. I also had an interesting wiring fault to rectify which was fun to get involved with.

As a gas engineer you meet alot of different people everyday, I meet some people that seem to have everything in the world they need, a nice car, big house, beautiful wife and family and plenty of money, yet these are the people that I find are most unhappy, I will meet someone in a rented 1 bedroom flat on the breadline and they come across as being the happiest person in the world, I have gone through some extremely rough times, I lost almost everything i had within the space of 8 months, my girlfriend, my friends, my house, job and car, life can be so very cruel and lonely, the only thing that kept me going is my family and fishing, fishing allowed me to be on my own and think about things in an environment that helped me clear my mind, I think your success may be the reason why you feel the way you are, just be yourself and be grateful for everything you have!

I've worked on psychiatric wards for 5 years, looking after patients who were rich, poor, from all sorts of different backgrounds, and it makes you realize that nobody is immune to mental health issues
And ive only just changed careers into plumbing and gas, the job itself can take a toll, but you are doing amazing at what you do.
Keep it up and keep talking about it, the support is always out there.
    Keep smashing it!

I think it’s good to talk about it . I worked for a boiler manufacturer back in 2007 -2014 not really sure what it was but I found tears running down my face and not sure what was going on because of the KPi and a scoring system it made me feel like a shit engineer9. I was off work for months seeing councillors for anxiety and depression and I am still on them to this day. It has took away my confidence and had a massive impact on my family. I am still working but it is difficult. My heart goes out to you . What I did find help me was to join a local group of people who were going through what I was. Please look after yourself and try and rebalance your home life with work . What I can say is your videos have really helped me and my best mate when it comes to Worcester p2p or prv thank you for listening to me

never forget that things will get better. as tradesmen we all understand we can't do the job without proper tools. we wouldn't turn up to a boiler install with no tools and expect it to just sort itself out. it's exactly the same with our own mind, need to find and use the right tools for the job. so there is no shame at all in going out and finding those tools, using them, let everyone know you're using them to get yourself fixed. we'd never tell a customer their boiler will run just fine for years and years without maintenance.

Hey man, hope your cool. you're obviously a sound lad that cares about your work.
Its easy to let work consume you when you care about doing a good job. I've a young family like yourself but I definitely think its important we have a hobby/sport to focus on aswell. Doing something else thats hard, and hard to get good at. Golf/ tennis/martial arts whatever.
When I come out of a brutal training session(boxing for me) Im physically exhausted but mentally at ease, and things seem to get put into perspective.
Its not selfish to take a few hours a week out for yourself.
