Awesome video man! Introduced me to a new band to listen to, this song was sick. I also like the more bare bones set up of a drum set. While I do like to live vicariously through other drummers with bigger kits, smaller kits are just as awesome to me. :) Look forward to the next one.
Awesome cover. What I really love about this song is how it makes such a great lead song to the album (especially leading into the beginning of Come On Over) and at the same time, an epic closer to their live sets.

Brilliant as always, its amazing how you get the drums tuned so well to match the original. How did you tune the snare, I've been trying to get that sound for a while.
Ethan Hamilton I'm playing over the original. There is a certain level where the original drums cannot be heard, but the recorded drums have to be quite loud.
CellarPhantom The foam squares do a good job of trapping the high frequencies from bouncing around, even only a few as in this room. It's mostly an acoustic thing for recording, not for soundproofing.
Such a great band. Typhoons is amazing. Have you listened to Karnivool at all? Discovering them last year as a lifelong tool fan was revelatory as their name always put me off as I was expecting something weird like Insane Clown Posse...
