    Recently found your channel. Close to 30 years operating equipment…your lack of a front door/brush kit when running that mower scares me. Get yourself some protection sooner than later

      I have been looking into getting a door there about 1500 for the kit brand new online

    Love the channel and your work ethic brother !!! Grab a Timbren kit for that truck and it will end all that squat and also not impact your daily driving. I’ve had them for 5 years and they still work well.

    I recommend you get some sort of plexiglass door or something you can make or fab up yourself when your brush cutting. Even a ¼" sheet of plexiglass will deflect debris.That's super dangerous. My uncle lost an eye brush cutting cause he didnt have a door. And I know a couple other guys who have been smacked in the head with stuff including myself. He'll even a grinding faceshield will work.

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  3 месяца назад +1

      Makes sense I tried to make one that’s why on my machine I have plexiglass on my side windows but not in the middle but it didn’t work out and I messed up when making it so I’ll just buy one from the one website for $2400

    Looking to see how your help people start their own business......great day in the life videos but I haven't heard you speak about ways to get equipment or price jobs, real in depth details, everything has been surface videos. But it's good to see a young man doing positive things. Stay safe

    Hey man I like your videos I own a successful small construction company aswell in south Florida in the Sarasota area. I just wanted to chime in on the sub contracting deal, it is nice and one way or another everyone is doing it but your giving up free money to the guy that subbed work to you. I sub work out to one of my colleagues and I get 30% of each job’s profit without touching it and if is not a contract job and its just a home owner and I still use him I still make the majority of the profit with his cut included and that’s what there doing aswell and it’s just business nothing more but it’s something to think about. Keep making videos buddy I enjoy watching them even though I do the same thing every day lol

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  4 месяца назад +1

      Interesting take on it your a 100% right with that and I am trying to get into the business model of subbing out work to other contractors because that awesome to be able to make 30% profit margins without moving a finger but right now I still in the field which isn’t bad but that’s apart of my plan to grow my company that said that in my previous videos

    • @shanewilson6920
      @shanewilson6920 4 месяца назад +1

      I’m still in the field doing my thing but the other guy is doing his jobs to I do my regular work and I do the harder more involved jobs and his jobs are all free money to me and my customers are happy they get work done in a timely manner it cuts out having to deal with employees and insurance on those employees he is his own boss he decides his income u can get to 1m a year without the headache bud but keep grinding I love seeing others approach on the work we just thought I’d share my take on it

    • @small-town-southern-man3573
      @small-town-southern-man3573 4 месяца назад +1

      If you make 30%, and I make 30%, and the next guy makes 30%, then the customer and the one actually doing the work are getting ripped off. Subbing is good up to a point. Then it crosses the line of ethics, at least for me.

    • @shanewilson6920
      @shanewilson6920 4 месяца назад

      @@small-town-southern-man3573 I get the job I deduct my 30% for providing the work and billing and holding the license required and dealing with the job and the sub gets the remaining 70% for his hard work and everyone is happy it’s just how it is I’m sure the company makes money on me to so it’s a revolving door

    I wouldn't recommend painting the brushcutter orange. Not only is the yellow a nice contrast, but painting it will likely decrease the resale value as it won't match anything but Kubota.

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  4 месяца назад

      That is true but I think the guy who had it before me painted it yellow to match his caterpillar skid steer.

    On the grass cutting part you could’ve used a mower. The grass is tore up

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  3 месяца назад

      Yeah but that would have taken more time to go home and get the mower and come back to the job the grass will grow back we are in Florida.

  • @J.I.0
    @J.I.0 Месяц назад +3

    Is this just grass cutting? Was the grass just too high for a roding mower? Great content, keep going strong 💪🏾

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  Месяц назад +1

      The one section was pretty much grass cutting but the rest needed to brush cut but I didn’t want to have to bring a regular mower as well

      RUclips and talking to other people in the excavation space and online forms and doing a bunch of research as I was currently doing each job.

    im wanting to start skid steer biz out here in cali. do you think a 16 foot trailer is necessary or would a14 footer be ok to fit a brush cutter attachment? i see you tipped the cutter up but i also see you had what looked like 2 feet extra behind your kubota

    What’s the hardest part about owning a heavy equipment business?

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  3 месяца назад +1

      The Hardest part for me at this point in my business as I am growing is understanding weight and trucks and trailers and what weight and what machine can be used on what setup. It can definitely be learned like I am right now but I wish I knew more about Ute before I started I may have to upgrade my trailer or get a new one soon because of the weight rating on the axles.

    I have a big skid steer 10k+ lbs. No truck no trailer. I'd like to get started. What do you suggest?

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  4 месяца назад

      I would rent a truck and trailer if you can’t go and buy or finance them there’s guys at rent them for about 850 a month with the heavy duty truck and trailer if your search hard enough I usually see them in FB marketplace

    • @EntreprenuerDavis
      @EntreprenuerDavis  4 месяца назад

      They usually rent them out for hotshot but I’m sure they wouldn’t care what you use them for just as long as they get paid
