Goodmorning having a plan is half of the battle. Stick to it no matter what anyone says in the comment. I most definitely think you have a good plan. Love the faith, hard work and positively. Anything is possible with those three key ingredients
Wussup man I’m happy I found your channel I’ve Been doing junk hauling and car hauling I’ve looking to expand to heavy machinery thank you for your knowledge and info 💯💯🤝
You are going to be successful beyond your wildest dreams just keep your faith and be willing to stick with your plan but also be willing to modify that plan as God leads and opens up new opportunities
My brother actually works for a construction management company here in Florida and is planning to do something similar. Not so much on the excavation side but renovations and new builds. Good luck with it
I am from Florida and have been doing lawn care and landscaping for a long time. The hardest part of the job is finding good help I feel like I have a daycare instead of a lawn care, people just don’t wanna work and they tear up your equipment, it’s not worth getting the bigger equipment and it’s best to get them all push mowers.
Yeah that’s also why I haven’t tried to execute my business plan years ago because of the hardship of finding reliable guys but I will to take on that burden to help my business grow.
I run a 1 ton dump truck and pull a chipper as a sub contractor for an arborist. I also mow lawns and do cleans ups. I do this part time. I carry my own insurance and llc. It really is the best model for the full time arborist. He can scale his jobs and profit with his expertise and bidding. I think the subcontractor route is best but watch them for undercutting or taking clients. Your name is still on the product though so you have to watch the end product for quality as they can make and break you. Keep banging man!
Thank you for your advice I will definitely push my hardest to get this subcontracting part of my business going it’s the best way for people in are part of the trades to scale because it’s hard to trust people with your equipment especially at our size business.
It makes sense but it doesn’t at the same time so are you looking to become a state certified general contractor or what are you looking to do because to do that you have to pass the state exams and all the requirements and also have the experience to do so
Wassup bro, name is James I have plenty of years in the excavation business and I’m a master skid steer operator I believe in your journey and has also started my own I am in the market for my own skid steer now and would like to partner with you for sub contracting I live in west palm beach now but I could move back to Gainesville if the decision is lucrative for me and my family and we are the same age ! Kinda the reason I would like to go thru business with you then some old guy that thinks he know everything.. please let me know because I am on a networking frenzy!!!
Do u recommend if I want to start an excitation buisness coming out of highschool should I start with lawn care to get a cash flow to be able to better afford some equipment for excuvating? And then grow each?
I would say if you want to do excavation you should work on that and try to grow that and just rent your machinery when your first starting out it is harder to start but it’s more rewarding but if you want to be able to have cash flow at the beginning then lawn care can definitely be a great way to supplement for that.
I’m only using lawn care because being this kind of GC can be a hard process to find other companies that are good and you can trust there work so instead of having no money coming into my business at points I’ll have lawn care route to have a consistent cash flow and I have experience doing so.
@@EntreprenuerDavis great advice, do u have an opinion on what I should do for truck and trailer when I first get out of hs just to be able to drive the rental machine around?
I like your content and plan but i think your overestimating the profit margins. No chance your gonna be getting close to 30% profit being a contractor.
Possibly I may be but from my experience of subbing out jobs in the past I realized if I find the right client I can just tack on an extra 30% on top of the job once I get an estimate from the subcontractor. But even if its 15-20% profit for only having to close the job and find the works to do the job then that’s a win in my book.
Yeah possibly but I was thinking of attacking on the highest paying areas with acres of the grass to cut instead of small residential grasses and that will also tie into my excavation business because people who have big yards will also have bigger excavation project that need to be done on there property.

Thank you man for your support and I’m going to stick with my plan and going to document the entire process here on RUclips

Of course where ever God Needs me to be it will be done without hesitation
That's a great plan you young and go for it yes don't wait till you get older do it now
Yeah I do not plan on waiting I’m a person who likes to take action on my situation.
Great plan brother keep pushing
Thank you, I will

Oh I’m not doing it only with excavation I plan on doing everything construction so I don’t limit myself on how much money can be made
@@EntreprenuerDavis solid plan go for it man.

keep going!!
Thank you man I will🙏🏾
Another great vid❤️
W Plan 🔥
Thanks man 🙏🏾
but another great video❤️
Took me 6 years to get to 1m mark, and it's really hard to do it without money and help, and equipment like i started.
Yeah my plan will probably take about 7-10 year is what I’m estimating
It makes sense but it doesn’t at the same time so are you looking to become a state certified general contractor or what are you looking to do because to do that you have to pass the state exams and all the requirements and also have the experience to do so
Yes exactly and that’s not hard to pass the state exam you just have to study for it and I have experience under my belt
Hard to make a lot of money with lawn care moving into big machines is big money.
The goal isn’t to make a lot of money it’s to make consistent money
Anything is possible, if it honors God and give glory to him
That’s why In all of my videos I give praise to our lord because without him I am nothing even if I have a successful business.

@codyspicer you will atleast need a one ton truck 7.3 diesel f350 with lower miles is a good truck.
Do they have DAF and MAN or SCANIA trucks in America? Those trucks are cheap to obtain
Some are as low as 20k
I’m not 100% sure what these are so I’m going to say we don’t have them

@@EntreprenuerDavisThere is money in lawn care if you price correctly and get the right contracts.
2 guys 10 yard $500.00 thats no profit you paying them 5 an hour
I should specified that I meant $500 profit but the number aren’t completely worked out yet for that
