Young man, you have figured it out! If you put God first in all you do and share your faith you will be blessed!! Love the rawness of your videos. I plan on starting the same type business as you in Florida in 11 months. Thank you for the guidance. Be blessed.
Great to see a young man with a great mindset and attitude towards a great career. I’m 52 and just started my second career doing the same thing. Good luck 🍀 and keep up the great work. Let Jesus take the wheel!
100% man. You get paid when the job is done. I agree, motivation goes down when there isn't anything left to work for. Nice work, keep grinding (no pun intended)
Just wondering, but why didn't you rent a stump grinder for the skidsteer? It would have been much quicker and less labor intensive. Good stuff though!
The teeth are extremely expensive and there are lots of them on a skid attachment, so people don't like renting them out because people destroy them. The arm swing machines aren't too bad to operate and they don't tear up the yard like a skid loader does. I love my little stump grinder.
Good video brother. I would recommend taking the money if they offered to pay you. Because there may come a client that offers you the money and then, when you go to collect, they start acting funny. Nothing wrong with taking it when they offer it. Also, why don’t you have a grapple for your mini skid? Couldn’t you have use the mini skid with a grapple to bring all that brush up from the backyard and to the dump trailer?
I do want a grapple I am just waiting for the right opportunity because I don’t want to just take a bunch of cash and buy one id much rather wait for the deal and save some cash
I’m not even worried about anyone else I see a lot of skid steer in my area but that’s doesn’t mean anything to me because I give great work and great customer service Also what’s made for me will always be there for me I am I child of God he will give me what I need and he believes I deserves
That all depends on the job and what the skid steer if being used for because there are different attachments that are used on the machine which drastically changes the price of how much the expense and profits will be.
I use multiple sources to find jobs there’s no one particular way of finding jobs. I use Facebook Marketplace, Google ads/ SEO, I buy leads my website brings in leads my RUclips channel brings in leads as well and I am connected with other small business in my area who don’t own the equipment that I own so I sub contract with them and you have to always be networking with random people because you might never know who you’ll be talking to my next step is to get in with a big builder and hopefully dig foundations for them for a 200 house development
Do you not take any of your other overhead into consideration? Wear and tare, insurance and depreciation on the truck, trailer and skid steer. Liability insurance Workers Comp Storage costs of all your equipment Income tax Sales tax Just to mention a few things. Your actual profit is nowhere near what you calculated.
That’s all subjective to your situation and your state and there so many factors that goes into all of those cost so it wouldn’t be beneficial for me to add that into the video doesn’t mean I don’t have those expenses just means that I not adding it because it’s not helpful to someone across the country who has complete different circumstances
That also apply to all of the expenses you did calculate. It's different depending on where you live. Just pointing out that your actual profit is probably half of what you calculated. Telling people that, that's what the profit on the job was is not accurate.
@@AndrewGibson-p5n that’s makes no sense so you think half of my profit goes to that from each job? That insane because all do that is only an 1 time payment per month so where do you get your math from?

All Glory to God and I would definitely recommend to start this business it is a great business with out a doubt.

Of course
But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

I pay $350 a month

Just wondering, but why didn't you rent a stump grinder for the skidsteer? It would have been much quicker and less labor intensive. Good stuff though!
There no rental place around me that rents the stump grinder attachment for the skid steer
Just curious, would it not be better to rent the stump grinder attachment for your skid?
No one rents that attachment out
The teeth are extremely expensive and there are lots of them on a skid attachment, so people don't like renting them out because people destroy them. The arm swing machines aren't too bad to operate and they don't tear up the yard like a skid loader does. I love my little stump grinder.
Curious when you prefer to grind stumps as opposed to digging them out.
👍
Thanks
What forms of advertising do you use to find jobs
I use Google Seo , Facebook Marketplace, buying leads, I subcontract from other small companies I do google ads and i get some leads from RUclips.

But it would’ve made quick work of this project.

What are your thoughts on competition in your area
I’m not even worried about anyone else I see a lot of skid steer in my area but that’s doesn’t mean anything to me because I give great work and great customer service Also what’s made for me will always be there for me I am I child of God he will give me what I need and he believes I deserves
what's your daily profit and expenses with a skid steer?
That all depends on the job and what the skid steer if being used for because there are different attachments that are used on the machine which drastically changes the price of how much the expense and profits will be.
Hey man where do you find work or advertising at
I use multiple sources to find jobs there’s no one particular way of finding jobs.
Brother, you should outsource the stumps those little machines take way too long
Yeah I should your right
Why such a small bucket on your ctl
Bought it after market on Facebook marketplace
No I don't have that problem. I'm actually more motivated to do it
Interesting that’s great brotha keep that mind set it will take you very far
Y ou need to invest in a grapple and save time
Your right
Do you not take any of your other overhead into consideration?
Wear and tare, insurance and depreciation on the truck, trailer and skid steer.
Liability insurance
Workers Comp
Storage costs of all your equipment
Income tax
Sales tax
Just to mention a few things.
Your actual profit is nowhere near what you calculated.
Okay each business calculates it differently so that would be irrelevant for you to know
That’s all subjective to your situation and your state and there so many factors that goes into all of those cost so it wouldn’t be beneficial for me to add that into the video doesn’t mean I don’t have those expenses just means that I not adding it because it’s not helpful to someone across the country who has complete different circumstances

I guarantee you it does. Talk to an accountant.
