My advice if your gona be doing bigger jobs like that i would get a farm tractor like a IH 560 with a 10 ft brush hog probably find both for 5-7k depending on condition and wont have to worry about bogging or hydrolic fluid and itll be way faster

Love your content Brother! Super cool you work with your dad. Watching your videos has inspired me to take the biggest leap of faith. I am picking up my equipment today and starting a new chapter in my life! Thank you for always being inspirational and helping me Go back to the lords Path. Many blessing to you and your fam!
Hey brother, I aint trying to take any business but i gotta know how you are qouting these jobs! I just left the military and decided to start my own company. I've ran equipment, just never qouting jobs. Either way brother may our lord keep blessing you 🙏 🙌 but may we praise him! ❤
As a poor guy I have had mostly Bobcat so I guess that is my favorite. My brush cutter is a home built brush hog conversion. In my part of Florida there are no longer any properties left to brush cut. Equipment loves to break down, especially if it is not used much. A friend of mine upstate bought a Chinese brush cutter cheap because it is broken and upgraded the hydraulic motor and it cuts like a beast!
You can measure area on google maps - I run Bad Boy attachments - I love the fact you and your dad work together - that’s a blessing - Also, shredding in wet grass will bog down any machine - I found the best thing is to go slower to keep the headspeed up - eat slower when it’s harder to chew;)
Hey man I do a lot of skidsteer work just a little tip if those machines have a float button for the loader cut with that on so it follows the lay of terrain better
I absolutely love blue diamond but I have a very well made titan grapple rake that is an absolute monster. I have tested that thing on rocks some concrete ledge walls and really beat the hell out of it. I’ve got some small bends on the tips of the teeth on the grapple part but other than that that no damage whatsoever that thing is a beast. But blue diamond is by far my favorite. As far as skids I really like Deere but I just bought a case TV 370 because it was a deal I could not pass up. It was practically brand new and so far I absolutely love it. Extremely strong machine very comfortable and the field of view from inside the cab pretty darn good. Only downside the controls and display is nothing fancy .. and back to the attachments I’m seriously considering the blue diamond severe duty brush cutter that claims that that thing will eat fence wire for breakfast and take down trees up to 12 inches but down side 16k .. I’m also really wanting to get the blue diamond stump bucket with grapple.. but after testing this titan grapple that I have I’m truly impressed and I might not need that stump bucket just yet
Is your drone a DJI? If so you can select the skid and hit active track, or if you use Cine mode it smooths it out. Also you guys should snag a larger older cheap tractor for jobs like these with a large Bush Hog. Less wear on your skid and they will cut that stuff like butter. I just got done doing 20 acres with a 100hp massey and half of it was 10-14 feet.
@EntreprenuerDavis you can find a 100hp 4x4 tractor for under 10k that will pull a 10ft brush hog easily. Can pay itself off in a couple weeks if you get more jobs like this. Regardless keep killing it man! What helped me with my DJI was in the settings I changed the sticks to I think option 1? It made it alot easier to move and look with 1 stick.
Have you thought about running a few more spare parts and repair equipment?… that way, you don’t end up wasting some precious hours of the day? What did you use to say to us? time is money, right?
@@maigematthews5620 where would I keep parts at on my truck and how would I know which spare parts to bring this comment does not make sense in so many levels
@@EntreprenuerDavis you’re doing an awesome job! I look up to you. And I agree, it’s not an easy question to answer. But to help, maybe adding a trailer? And based off of your previous years of experiences doing this, then you have a good idea of parts that are more common to be needed. I’m only here to help. I’m not trolling you.
Hey, just a couple quick asks. Get a bit creative with your GoPro placement. Behind you in the cab so people can see you work those levers, maybe an up and behind mount for the top of the skid. The car vloggers got some crazy cool setups you can glean from! I own a print shop but the homestead needs have outgrown the subcompact tractor so I’m looking for a used older bobcat to do some earthwork with.
I have bought different attachments from different vendors, Titan for forks (Chinese), Quik Attach for a soil conditioner US made, Skid Pro for a stump remover grapple. Some non mechanical attachments such as pallet forks are not a bad option in the Chinese version, soil conditioner and hydraulic stump bucket better to spend more up front than deal with down time and longevity issues with imports.
Yeah I have an assortment of different attachment some being Chinese some being American but I haven’t had the best experience with Chinese honestly I bought a bucket a few years back (Chinese brand) and after a few months that think ended up flattening like a pancake😂
My diamond brush cutter was $11k but it’s a monster and will cut trees up to 8”. But I just mowed 25ish acres with my tractor and batwing mower and did it in 4.5hrs and it was about that tall and thick. If you are going to keep mowing it would be good to try and get a tractor soon.
I like cat the most but they so expensive. Cat makes really really stout attachments I’ve had bradco as well all depends what attachments I’m looking for. Dope videos bro! I’m going to start filming my jobs
17:38 Question: How long should we run with the Chinese equipment before moving over to the Blue Diamond? Another way to ask… How many x months of making a steady x amount of money should we be making before thinking about investing in a blue diamond? Because I would hate to wait until the Chinese equipment breakdown beyond repair.
How do you legally guarantee the $bag$? Do you require a down payment? Half now, half later? Do you have them put a partial payment on hold? Because it’s not like you can put the brush back where you found it. Have you ever had “pushback” or a “disappearing act” for payment?
Does FL require a contractors license for the land clearing/brush removal? Assuming you need one for grading work too? Here in VA we need one for both.

I hope you do well in business. But I would quit posting the after work until I could get machines that can do a nice clean job. Most of it looks like it was just twisted and knocked over. Not cleanly cut for sure.
