For someone who isn’t an actual therapist, you say some really on spot things. Love your analogy of changing a head gasket and not giving up. You’re the kind of guy I need to hang out with, as a Ford mechanic for the past 20 years and now going sober, we would get along famously! Love the Bronc btw. I’m finding after going to several 4th of July picnics sober, I’m going to have to make some changes in whom I hang out with. I actually witnessed people as I was sober, going from sober to getting buzzed and then drunk how loud and obnoxious they became and also very uninteresting in the conversation. And to. think, I was like that. Ughhh! Thanx for the vids, graat as always!
Thank you. I've learned more in this past year of quitting alcohol than the 20+ years I spent drinking it. I stopped going to "drunken" events. I don't miss them either. I'd rather spend my time being productive than hanging out with a bunch of drunk people talking nonsense. I'm not judging, Lord knows I was one of them. Things change when you head in a different direction though and that's ok!
A few more days and you have a YEAR 🎉 wow!! How amazing! And you still are transforming into a “younger/healthier “ version of yourself. You look amazing 😻 congratulations 🎊 🎉
Thanks for the videos nate, im not quite there yet, but with continual effort, i have reduced my alcohol consumption has reduced by half just in the last 6 months
You're an inspiration. The best stop drinking channel i've stumbled across on YT by far. I quit for 2 years a few years ago and looked and felt amazing, i was 45 and looked 35. But I fell off and it only took one time.Thankfully I didn't fall too far. Now back on the sober journey..all the best from Perth, Australia.
Exactly, it's a fact that quitting booze not only makes your world a better place to be in, good things start to “magically” happen and the energy is insane! Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever, that’s the best shortcut I go’ogled that took less than a week to work without suffering withdrawal.
I love the style of videos you have created Nate. They are very uplifting, positive and come with alot of nuggets that could really help someone change their habits, most content on RUclips about alcohol can be dark and depressing, but you bring a different perspective with the physical, mental and spiritual benefits, you can just see and feel it. It is really inspiring seeing the difference from day 1. 👍
Closing in on a year sober myself and have learned to really get involved in self improvement in a number of areas, physical and mental. I’ll continue this journey well beyond the one year mark.
Hey Nate, You've mentioned you've had multiple attempts to stop drinking in the past. "Never quit trying to quit" In your day 1 video you said you were done, and you did it. What was different about this attempt? Was it the extra accountability for RUclips? I've also had multiple attempts to completely cut it out of my life, and I'll make it a month or two, but will eventually come back to my old ways. Keep up the inspiration brother. I'm going to miss these videos!
The accountability of the videos certainly gave me the extra lift I needed to stick with it, especially in the beginning. Plus things had gotten the worst for me physically, mentally and spiritually than they had ever been before due to my drinking. I wouldn't call it rock bottom, but maybe it was my rock bottom. I looked to the future and asked myself where I would be in 5 more years if I kept drinking the way I was... I didn't like the answer.
Awesome video Nate! Thank you for posting these videos. I watch them every day. They are part of my positive routine.❤🙂👊
👊
Timely spot on video.
As much as I’m going to be happy for you for reaching the one year milestone, I’m going to miss this channel more!!
Thx Nate!
