Same! I try to never use the excuse that I am single to not go to concerts and comedy shows. The few people I have in my life are either married with kids and I’d be the third wheel or can’t get out w/out kids. Or the friend isn’t into what I like or don’t want to splurge and that’s fine. So I just go by myself.

The no phone rule is sooooooooo good! I thought I was pretty good at solo dating until I started watching you. I realised all this time I'd been dating my anxieties and my phone. I could go out solo, but I spent the day usually avoiding X cafe because I was too scared of getting stared at and didn't know how to order / the waiters looked rude etc or avoiding X clothing store because I didn't look rich enough to go there.... etc. AND I was alllllllllways on my phone, spending time chasing other people on messages, social media. Thank you so much for the tips! You're helping me enormously

I have anxiety really bad. The gym is the main thing that helps me but I was too scared to join because I didn’t want anyone else watching me workout. After watching your videos you gave me the confidence to sign up for a membership. Yesterday I was the only girl in the gym with a bunch of men. The old me would’ve left immediately, but I ignored them and did my workout. Accepting the uncomfortable instead of avoiding it is seriously the best advice and now I go to the gym regularly regardless of who’s there/who’s watching.
I completely agree. I go for concerts, shopping sprees, museums, parties and restaurants solo & it’s so fun tbh. Most times I’ll find someone I know and say hi and keep it moving lol
I am planning to do a solo trip soon so yeah let’s see how that goes 😊
I highly admire that she had the confidence to go out places by herself. Even though I'm currently 15 I know that it's something I'll have to get used to later on in life when I move away from my parents to a different state and live on my own. But when I turn 16 I'm definitely inspired to get used to going out places by myself because as introverts who prefer spending time alone we deserve to enjoy life at it's fullest when we're not always with someone. I also liked how she said that you should just embrace your emotions of feeling uncomfortable because that's the only way you'll get better at it and at the end of the day you'll be proud of yourself for doing what you wanted to do despite the way you felt.

I could not be watching this at a more divine time. I just lost my job, went through a breakup and have also been in back to back relationships so this year is definitely dedicated to self love and solo dating and choosing ME. I can’t wait, I’m honestly excited. Thank you for this!

Getting ready to take myself out on a solo date to a drag brunch in about an hour. Bought the ticket 2 months ago knowing I'd be going by myself. I'm super excited 🤩
I enjoy solo dating because trying to date these days and I get tired of waiting for guys to be good company. I live in a big city and there's things I wanna do/see. I'm not going to sit around and refuse to have fun because I have no one to hang with. Solo dating and enjoying my solitude has healed my soul, I love it ❤

Most of the things suggested as solo dates are things I already do, and I never thought of looking at them as dates with myself. Such a nice way to look at it, and I will be doing so from now on! Such a lovely idea!

I have a partner but he rarely likes going places, I don't have any friends so instead of feeling sad about it I just embrace it and really treat myself .
I had a lovely solo date the other day I took myself for coffee, read my book , ordered lunch at a restaurant looked around the thrift shops , bought myself a lovely rainbow moonstone ring from this hippy shop I'd been meaning to visit for ages, had a nice chat with the girl serving and ended the day with getting some snacks and going to the cinema. Such a wonderful day
In the summer I often take myself on picnics or to musuem... maybe it's harder for people who are used to having friends around . I don't think anything of it 😂

I felt bad yesterday because I was so stressed out and decided to go on a solo date today. So I got myself some pretty flowers and a little candle and went back home to order some sushi and watch gossip girl. It helped me so so much, I’m definitely gonna do this more often ❤️
When she was saying "read it, read it, reading currently, read it.. " it felt like a bestie talking to us, that gurl who always does the right things and imma read the same books😭❤️
I went on a solo date to a 18th century manor house and gardens ,it such a lovely day I spoke to the guides learnt loads of history, looked round at my own pace then sat in the gardens enjoying an oat latte and vegan flapjack in the sunshine . I'm going to an opera by myself too ☺
Solo dates should be normalised…it never bothered me until people made me feel awkward about it😅.
I'm here after 5 year long relationship breakup. I really don't know how to chase places, make memories by myself and when I'm not working I just feel so alone and I miss the excitement of going on dates. I’d not often thought about it much; just felt doing it was important for me as I didn’t have much friends and often my siblings or friends I do have didn’t always have the time when I did. It's now been 2 months since you recorded this video, but I wanted to let you know about "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo". I've read this book in June 2022 and up to know it is my favourite book. I am a reader-although lately I hadn't had time for it- and I've read many book mostly fiction butI promise you that this book is worth it. It's fiction but while reading it the way the author wrote this novel, it makes it seem like you are having a casual conversation with someone but at the same time like you are part of the story. Essentially, it is an amazingly written book and is very captivating!
Watching this made me realize I've been taking myself out on solo dates my whole 20's lol I'm always wanting to try new things and go new places and I don't like waiting around for people lol😅 😅 due to life being life I stopped dating myself. Love the idea of watching a movie by myself in my room. Love the idea of taking a hike with a podcast.

I didn't realize I was taking myself to solo dates since highschool. Whenever I need to study or write a report for school, I'd go to a cafe if I'm mentally blocked from being in the same environment for so long. I was so focus on my business I didn't realize people were staring at me. I also do many stuff alone which I never thought was an issue, again I didn't realize people stare at me. I think the hardest to do will be having dinner by yourself as it is a gathering occasion, but breakfast and lunch is easy because students and corporates do it all the time esp on a busy schedule.

i love solo dating. i took myself to a dance club last december which was awkward at first since i was standing in line solo for an hour but i just wanted to dance.
I prepare myself to start solodating when spring starts because it’s freezing and i also tend to deal with the leftover bit of social anxiety, so the hurdle is still too HUGE

@@ayybibi I'll be honest and say that I hated that solo date😂 but afterwards I went on so many more and loved each one of them!! I also solo travelled recently, enjoyed my own company and met sooo many people. Two months certainly makes a difference in mindset because I definitely feel much happier and present in the moment, it was all worth it!

I’m 18 and I’ve genuinely never been like out solo. But now I have access to money and stuff and free time cuz schools over. I’ll be moving to college and it’s on the other side of my country and I’m scared because I’ve heard ppl there are more aggressive and also just, more outgoing. So tomorrow I’m going to a cafe and clothes store near my house as the first step
