Everest raptor makes heaps of sense. Very few people actually tow near the max load or go full off-roading. There's a heap of people who love the ranger raptor and would love the added utility of seven seats.
I checked the Ford website. After selecting a specific color, leather seats, and the touring pack (which provides a 360-degree camera and towing features), the cost came to AUD $89,399, LOL. I prefer the Tank 500 Ultra over this, as it offers more features with premium interior than this for AUD $74,000.
Just cancelled our Prado order and ordered one! We were really keen on the new Prado but the Everest knocks it out of the park with features and the wait times. we wouldn't see a Prado for 12-18 months even though we ordered it 6 months ago.
The new Prado simply doesn't justify it's price IMO. The interior is bland and featureless, no struts for the hood....the 2.8 diesel has likely had the kinks ironed out

I would of bought the Everest Raptor if they had one That’s why I got the Ute, but would prefer the Everest I liked the power of the Raptor, it’s just perfect amount for that size
If you prioritize fuel economy and don't need a lot of power, then the four-cylinder is likely your best bet; while some V6 options get decent gas mileage, they are still less efficient overall than a four-cylinder engine. On the other hand, if you care about speed and power, then you'll want to go with the V6.
Bugger, we are doing all these upgrades on our Everest 2024.5 we ordered in July this year. Hmmm at no time did the dealer express that a Tremor version of the Everest was coming out:(. Ohhh well we would have purchased one had we known.
Put the coyote V8 in the Everest and I'll consider it ;) makes more sense in an everest than the ranger given most everests never leave the concrete jungle.
Have ordered one in QLD was told that dealer was only getting 3 so paid deposit for last one. Most likely will not go ahead with this choice so hopefully so other lucky buyer will have a shot. Good luck.
Shame the Tremor dual cab doesn’t come with the diesel V6 … that Bilstein suspension and correct offset wheels not only look great but functional as well.
Ford, throw the Bronco/Ranger Raptor 3.0l petrol in this and bring it to the US! You will kill all Jeep and 4R SUV sales. Good gravy that would be a perfect car (but please put a hard switch for the front lockers in it :)).
I was thinking we were getting a new model here in the states 😂 I think the explorer is the closest competition to the 4runner over here. Still bought the 5th Gen 4Runner though 🎉
The fact that they don't sell this in America is insane. Toyota still sells an absolute crap ton of 4Runners here every year and there's no real competitor, other than the nee Land Cruiser that they also sell (which is a different price bracket). There is the Bronco and the Wrangler, but those are more for just extreme rock crawling, not really for overlanding, camping, etc. I've been wishing that Chevy would make an SUV based on the Colorado ZR2, but this would also be amazing.
This Everest Tremor with a performance chipped motor (maybe with improved intake and exhaust too) would be a way to get about. Curious if/when we'll see a hybrid Everest. I'd love to see a Raptor variant but I'd never consider it if the towing capacity sunk to 2500kg ... I want a robust high performance vehicle, not a wanky Tonka toy.
To be honest I would consider one of these - the LC300 is just too expensive and the new Prado is underpowered AND too expensive. @@victorbitter583 Not really - I could get one but then it's just less you have to spend on all your other expenses and trips - too expensive for what it is...
Unbiased perspective. I own a Landcruiser and a Ranger Raptor. At 10,000km I had to replace the whole transmission on the raptor, that cost me $4.5k where I am at. At 40thKm I had to replace ALL FOUR of the injectors on the raptor for about $3.5k. From brand new till now at 50th km, NO MAJOR issue on the LC AT ALL. The LC is SUBSTANTIALLY MORE RELIABLE but also costs 2.5x to buy. I still enjoy both. Everyone can draw their own conclusions😂

I wish we had this in North America. It would steal sales from our Explorer, but they did nix the off road focused Explorer with the refresh. So maybe there is hope. 🤷🏼♂️
Ford would already have a pre-allocated production schedule for the Tremor. So you technically can skip the queue. I did the same with my Ranger Platinum at its release. Ordered December, built in April, delivered in July.
I hope all the hope from Ford that they need to separate the entire off road systems from the screen functions and make them real buttons, especially the rear wheel drive differential. Then everyone's favorite car... Screens cannot be relied on at all. If it breaks down, everything stops.
I do like what Ford is doing with the Mustang, Ranger and Everest, but reliability, build quality and customer service is something that puts me off. Am I wrong in thinking this?
