Everest raptor makes heaps of sense. Very few people actually tow near the max load or go full off-roading. There's a heap of people who love the ranger raptor and would love the added utility of seven seats.
Just cancelled our Prado order and ordered one! We were really keen on the new Prado but the Everest knocks it out of the park with features and the wait times. we wouldn't see a Prado for 12-18 months even though we ordered it 6 months ago.
The new Prado simply doesn't justify it's price IMO. The interior is bland and featureless, no struts for the hood....the 2.8 diesel has likely had the kinks ironed out
I checked the Ford website. After selecting a specific color, leather seats, and the touring pack (which provides a 360-degree camera and towing features), the cost came to AUD $89,399, LOL. I prefer the Tank 500 Ultra over this, as it offers more features with premium interior than this for AUD $74,000.
This is exactly what America needs!! Bring this to America Ford!! The 2.7 TT or the 3.0 TT in the Everest Tremor would be FANTASTIC! A Ford that can take on a Grand Cherokee in off road ability? Sign me up!
@@IsaacSturdee Bronco is kinda small in the inside compared to how big it is externally. Two row vs three. The Everest is far better off road than the Explorer and far better as an all around vehicle than the Bronco. Right in line with the 4 Runner or Grand Cherokee.

The inside is deceptively smaller than you would think as you are walking up to it. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have one as a third vehicle. A truck, a family vehicle, and a Bronco. Alas, my budget says two vehicles.
I too have an Everest sport, really happy with it, lease runs out in 2 year and this has just moved to the top of the list as have everything I want, unlike the new prado that I was considering
I would of bought the Everest Raptor if they had one That’s why I got the Ute, but would prefer the Everest I liked the power of the Raptor, it’s just perfect amount for that size
If you prioritize fuel economy and don't need a lot of power, then the four-cylinder is likely your best bet; while some V6 options get decent gas mileage, they are still less efficient overall than a four-cylinder engine. On the other hand, if you care about speed and power, then you'll want to go with the V6.
Why?? It would still be a Ford. It would still come from the company with the most recalls and one of the worst depreciation of any truck family. Why would you pay for a Ford anyway???

Bugger, we are doing all these upgrades on our Everest 2024.5 we ordered in July this year. Hmmm at no time did the dealer express that a Tremor version of the Everest was coming out:(. Ohhh well we would have purchased one had we known.
Have ordered one in QLD was told that dealer was only getting 3 so paid deposit for last one. Most likely will not go ahead with this choice so hopefully so other lucky buyer will have a shot. Good luck.
Shame the Tremor dual cab doesn’t come with the diesel V6 … that Bilstein suspension and correct offset wheels not only look great but functional as well.
Put the coyote V8 in the Everest and I'll consider it ;) makes more sense in an everest than the ranger given most everests never leave the concrete jungle.
To be honest I would consider one of these - the LC300 is just too expensive and the new Prado is underpowered AND too expensive. This looks great, will have heaps of power and can tow a decent amount. Sure - would like something a bit cheaper but this actually looks pretty good considering the market

Ford would already have a pre-allocated production schedule for the Tremor. So you technically can skip the queue. I did the same with my Ranger Platinum at its release. Ordered December, built in April, delivered in July.
Ford, throw the Bronco/Ranger Raptor 3.0l petrol in this and bring it to the US! You will kill all Jeep and 4R SUV sales. Good gravy that would be a perfect car (but please put a hard switch for the front lockers in it :)).
This Everest Tremor with a performance chipped motor (maybe with improved intake and exhaust too) would be a way to get about. Curious if/when we'll see a hybrid Everest. I'd love to see a Raptor variant but I'd never consider it if the towing capacity sunk to 2500kg ... I want a robust high performance vehicle, not a wanky Tonka toy.
Unbiased perspective. I own a Landcruiser and a Ranger Raptor. At 10,000km I had to replace the whole transmission on the raptor, that cost me $4.5k where I am at. At 40thKm I had to replace ALL FOUR of the injectors on the raptor for about $3.5k. From brand new till now at 50th km, NO MAJOR issue on the LC AT ALL. The LC is SUBSTANTIALLY MORE RELIABLE but also costs 2.5x to buy. I still enjoy both. Everyone can draw their own conclusions😂

Mate you would need to compare more of a like for like. Add $1500 to the T500 as it does not have a tow hitch nor brake controller standard. Then add $2000 for similar offroad AT tyres. Now it's $77k vs $89k and a matter of personal styling preferences/ requirements. I personally don't find the T500 styling very appealing and dont particulary want a mobile massage parlour nor observatory (sunroof and starlights on dash) and would therefore not consider buying one. Either way it's a lot of money so you need to be happy with own purchase decision.

The fact that they don't sell this in America is insane. Toyota still sells an absolute crap ton of 4Runners here every year and there's no real competitor, other than the nee Land Cruiser that they also sell (which is a different price bracket). There is the Bronco and the Wrangler, but those are more for just extreme rock crawling, not really for overlanding, camping, etc. I've been wishing that Chevy would make an SUV based on the Colorado ZR2, but this would also be amazing.
I tend to disagree with your comment that this is the first off-road focused Everest. They did release an Everest Wildtrack X which certainly had a more off-road focused package

The 3.0LV6 isn’t a twin turbo, it’s the same Gen 3 of the Powerstroke as in all 3.0L Next-Gen Everests and Rangers.
Just ordered mine , looked seriously at the Prado though, but not even close for similar money, & 600nm is a no brainer for me towing the van.
This is what I’ve been hanging out for, currently have an Everest sport which I love I think this new model just adds what I would love

Has the gvm and rear axle capacity increased to be able to tow anything with a towball weight over 270kg?
TBC - we don't have details on GVM at the moment. Towing capacity remains 3500kg, but not sure what the payload balance is for the GVM.

You input the details of the trailer into the central screen through the trailer menu, then it adjusts its range.

This shows 285/70R17 (32.7") but other vids are showing only 265/70R17 which is almost the same as a normal Sport...
