Hey Matt! I'm not quite sure how to start this, so I'll just say it: I don't think you understand the impact you've had on the world with your videos. I've ran into so many people on backpacking trips, canoe trips, fishing trips, etc. that have watched your content and always, ALWAYS have great things to say about it. You've made this Oklahoma boy go out and buy an UL canoe and start doing trips in the BWCA with my dog. It's a big change from my local lakes and rivers, but what an amazing journey. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything you've done. I can understand the mental break from it all. Just know that those of us that are a part of 'that' world think and care about you. Hopefully we'll see you again soon. God bless my friend.

It took me three attempts at viewing before I could watch the end. A friend drowned about six years ago and the potential was a bit raw as far as what the outcome could have been.
I’ve always dreaded the possibility of you flipping your boat - never thought you and Funk would do it together! So happy everyone including the pups were all ok! Now that was an adventure!
Wow. A lesson learned. Don't be on the big water when a storm like that is coming. Thankfully everyone was able to get to land safely without injury or losing too much gear. Could have been much worse. Thanks for posting everything and putting the warning on the video so that others won't make the same mistake of judgement. Better to be safe and change plans that to discover you're in a situation where everything can go sideways in the blink of an eye. Mother Nature doesn't fool around. I bet that bacon double cheeseburger and brewski were especially good this time. You earned it.

As someone who lives in the same region, There is basically no snow anywhere near Posa's stomping grounds this year. Furthermore, temps have been extremely warm so far too.

If this is the last video you ever post, I hope you will at least read all the comments that continue to be posted on your videos so you know how much you are respected and loved. Your fun nature, wonderful filming, and great editing have soothed many a rough patch over the years, providing a wholesome distraction in beautiful settings. I always wondered what would happen to your stuff if your boat flipped. Glad that you didn't lose as much stuff as you could've and that everyone is safe and sound! My favorite part of this video is either 1:20:07 when Rueger brought you the stick or when Funk thought you were fishing in the middle of chaos LOL
I remember Mat t and Monty went over once in rapids on a boundary waters trip and the viewer can see what matt doesn't know at that time - his map case and maps just float up out and away. So it has happened before but not in deep water. Coming after the fall Matt took on that log a year or so back I hope his confidence stays intact. That was a close call - he landed lucky.

Dude! You are a legend. That was a scary situation in a storm and you even went back for more after flipping and recovered your stuff, then stayed out and recovered Funk's boat and her big bag! Losing a few odds and ends in that situation is a small price to pay for everyone's safety.

Wow. A lesson learned. Don't be on the big water when a storm like that is coming. Thankfully everyone was able to get to land safely without injury or losing too much gear. Could have been much worse.
Thanks for posting everything and putting the warning on the video so that others won't make the same mistake of judgement. Better to be safe and change plans that to discover you're in a situation where everything can go sideways in the blink of an eye. Mother Nature doesn't fool around.

As someone who lives in the same region, There is basically no snow anywhere near Posa's stomping grounds this year. Furthermore, temps have been extremely warm so far too.

Just meant he doesn't owe any of us another video if he doesn't want to continue making them (or can't for whatever reason), but I hope he would still get a kick out of the nice comments new people make as they find his channel. I haven't seen anything where he said he wasn't going to keep doing them. And I think we would all love to see him continue if that's what he wants.

I always wondered what would happen to your stuff if your boat flipped. Glad that you didn't lose as much stuff as you could've and that everyone is safe and sound!
My favorite part of this video is either 1:20:07 when Rueger brought you the stick or when Funk thought you were fishing in the middle of chaos LOL
I remember Mat t and Monty went over once in rapids on a boundary waters trip and the viewer can see what matt doesn't know at that time - his map case and maps just float up out and away. So it has happened before but not in deep water. Coming after the fall Matt took on that log a year or so back I hope his confidence stays intact. That was a close call - he landed lucky.

Dude! You are a legend. That was a scary situation in a storm and you even went back for more after flipping and recovered your stuff, then stayed out and recovered Funk's boat and her big bag! Losing a few odds and ends in that situation is a small price to pay for everyone's safety.
