The piano playing made me so happy. My lovely Mum passed away not long ago, and she used to play this when I a little girl, I was just thinking about her today and having a little talk out loud to her, asking her to give me a little sign she’s with me still…then I watched your video and you played that tune. X

Love the cacti on the piano. The dropped cable on the sock looks good. Beautiful new colours of summer yarn. 🇬🇧

I’ve learned to gently tug on the yarn right before knitting the third stitch when I knit magic loop or dpns to avoid ladders.

Your joy is so contagious thank you so much for doing this podcast and sharing it with us❤ w
Wthout writing a full pattern could you just go over how many balls of yarn you had for your Prague blanket and is it simply that the small squares are half the size of the big squares?
I would love to use your idea for a New Zealand blanket to memorialize a fabulous trip we had there.
We got locked down for almost 3 months during Covid in New Zealand and for a knitter, that was a wonderful experience and a wonderful memory.
And my blanket should be all green and brown and blues, because those are the colors of the vistas I saw for all those months, the sky, the mosses and the trees, and all the tree branches and the soil in the fields.
    Thank you!

Hi Sarah. Love the dropped stitch idea for the socks, they look lovely. Knitting the second stitch on your needle tighter then the first stitch is suppose to help stop ladders. Your cacti are fantastic, I must try crocheting one.

Omg Sarah! I laughed out loud when you played piano! I haven't heard that tune in years. We used to play that when we were children. Thanks so much for such a lovely memory ❤❤❤

Your cactus collection is very realistic Sarah. You pay a lot of attention to detail, and may I just say here, your command of English is excellent! You’re right, the dropped stitches did look a bit scary, but it’s a very effective solution to the ladder problem, and adds a nice detail to a plain sock too. You did make me laugh when you were playing the piano. 😅🤎🤎🤎

I also love when knitting and crochet can combine to make something beautiful. I just did my first test knit for the Granina Socks, which have a strip of 4 flower granny squares going down the front of the sock and I love them so much 🥰

So strange - we must be catching the same vibe today, Sarah. I am wearing an almost identical outfit! I have a black V neck tank on, Baltic amber bead necklace, and a skirt I just finished making a few days ago very similar style to your Estuary skirt. I made it out of a green cotton/linen shower curtain and didn't have a pattern - and it is VERY heart jumping!! Also, right before you mentioned you needed to clean your piano, I had just finished cleaning mine!!

Hi Sarah. Your English is very understandable and I enjoy your daily chats. I don’t think you would like where I live in the southern US. In the summer, we are mostly between 32 -37 C. But are very humid (moisture in the air) mostly in the mornings. So when they report temperatures, they often use the heat index (air temperature as affected by humidity). Our heat index has already been over 38 C several times this summer and it is only July. August will be hotter. 😮

@@julieturney2188I’m not sure if you want me to answer or Sarah 😂! I liked the Drops Belle, it has made a lovely drapey fabric , it does split a bit as linen mix yarns do but not too much. I am blocking at the moment so can’t say how it washes but I am pleased so far, and I will use this yarn again. ❤

What a nice episode, Sarah. I love how you made the braid up the sides of the socks. Beautiful! And I was so surprised to hear the little tune you played on the piano. My German father taught that tune to me when I was very young. He's gone now and I don't play anymore. Does it have a name? I want to look it up and try to play it again. 🎹💕

Thank you for again showing your genius method of the slip stitch vertical cable. It is lovely!
Trying to see clearly: are you picking up 3 rows at a time? or is it 2?
    Thank you, daily Sarah!
Loved hearing you play piano. I took lessons for many years and it brings me back to my lesson practice time. ;)
