Your skirt looks great - I've never heard of that fiber but sounds wonderful for the summer. I am also knitting the thea top but it's been put aside for a bit until I decide whether to switch yarn fibers. I am currently using a bamboo yarn but having trouble with it. I have Drops Belle and love the detail you added with the garter row. My experience with linen and cotton yarn is limited so I'm a bit nervous since it shows all your mistakes but maybe with the added garter row it will work. And THANK YOU for doing this video in English too, that's a lot of time for you but it's much appreciated from your American viewer in FL (me)!

I don't know in your country, but in France double gauze is quite expensive. It is great for children clothing. For towels in summer, I found microfiber towels at Decathlon which are very light in the luggage and very quickly dry.

Blackberry plants are a nightmare and there branches grow so fast particularly at this time of year. I think a knitted top is better than making the jersey fabric. 🥰

Hi. You inspired me to learn how to crochet granny squares to make my version of this blanket. I became obsessed with it, and finished it a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. Thank you. I made mine with 100% Australian wool, and after finding the Fireside Blanket video, I worked out the dimensions for each square. I made my last round in a creamy white for the large and small squares. I love how it turned out. And I was so inspired by the Fireside Blanket, that I followed that tutorial to make my own. It’s almost finished … about to start the wide border. Thanks again for all your knitting and crochet vids. I look forward to them so much.

I’m crocheting granny squares using Drops Belle yarn and i agree, every day is granny square day! The story about the cup your daughter gave you was so touching. Your family sounds so loving and thoughtful. Our daughter will return to school on Wednesday and we’re trying to savor the last remnants of Summer, too. ❤

Sarah, I used to have a similar feeling at the start of school when my boys were young. I loved the ease of the summer hours but when school started there were different things to be happy with. 😊 is it too late to suggest that you crochet a pillow cover or 2 with your leftover yarn (from your Prague blanket)? It might be nice to have a pretty pillow to slip behind your back or under your head while camping. Enjoy your time with your family. ❤

I completely understand the good feeling as a mother when all of our "chicks are in the nest!" I used to say that all of the time when my boys came home.

In the US, that style of Polish dish-ware is called Polish pottery. I have several pieces and I love it. You take a sip of coffee out of your cup. I enjoy learning Dutch words when you tell us what something is called. I also speak German, and the German word for sip is "schluck", very similar to the Dutch. Thank you for another lovely podcast. 💕
