One of the most underrated comedians ever. Evident he's lived the hard life but as sharp and clever as any of the footlights priviliged. I hate the term laugh out loud but he made me do it the other night when I was in a bad mood after a bad day. It really shouldn't have happened but it was on a Radio 4 show when he described Dave Angel leading a tribe into battle against the deforesters in a Leyton Orient Away replica kit.
Nowadays this fella would lean over while you’re on your phone placing a bet and would tell you how wrong you are and how Leyton Orient always win away if it’s an evening kick off

Watching the Fast Show now, you realise it's actually quite patchy - a lot of it just isn't that funny.... and also that Simon Day was the best thing in it, he is criminally under rated. Billy Bleach, along with CA and JT as Roy & Renee are the sketches I go back to again and again.
