Good informative video. BUT… I would like to bring attention to everyone who is looking to buy this or equivalent self printings camera for their children or grandchildren to high toxicity of thermal paper ( the same as most printed receipts) as it contains BPA/BPS which are easily absorbed through the human skin. There are numerous articles regarding the health risks on the web should anyone wish to look into it closer. In fact there’s major safety concern for the people who handle receipts to wear protective gloves.
The paper made for these cameras, (and thermal printers) is BPA free. Many national stores have also shifted away from printer receipts that contain BPA. By the way, BPA is in many of the containers we use for food like plastic bottles and tin cans but there is a move to eliminate it all together.
@@Pro1er BPA-free products are not free of bisphenol. They're made with BPA “cousin” chemicals that share a nearly identical chemical structure-and similar health concerns.
BPA-free does not mean BPS-free, I've inquired one of the paper-roll makers that claim being BPA free about the presence of BPS and they said they do not know. So I'd still recommend applying healthy scepticism when it comes to health of your children. I'm personally never buying these.
Hey, thank you for the review. Just got one today and cant work out why when printing , the pics are barely visible? Did you do any additional set up?(apart from shade 1-4)
Any models that do NOT have the screen? Thinking it'd be fun for 3-5 year old but don't want the games and video player etc. built into the camera. Just a point and shoot camera / printer like a Polaroid
@stephallen9819 Thanks for the advice 🙂 Afraid the child would be so snap happy that the amount of film he would go through would put his family in debt 🤣 That's why this heat printer style appeals so much, just hate the games / screen, too many screens everywhere for kids these days 😬
That was my peoblem with a non printing vte h kids zoom camera i bought. The games. All the kids did was play the games and i was super annoyed with that. Didnt realize when we bought them that they did have games. I was ao happy when they finally broke but cant seem to find good child friendly cameras that dont have games.
Make sure you buy paper without biphenols in them! They are banned in the UK but you can still get dodgy retailers that sell bisphenol containing paper.
Such a great present idea, especially with Christmas nearly here!!
One for the boy this year.

Thanks for saying this - it’s the first thought I had

When buying paper rolls, check for BPA-free

What a great idea, it should sell very well and wonderful intro for young kids into photography. Takes me back to my old Polaroid 😊
Yeah I wish they had this when I was young!
I have my Polaroids still.
Can you please advise the model number so I can make sure I’m purchasing the current model with the rechargeable battery?!
I wish you also reviewed the frames and options of printing and how more of the printed photos looked like.... I'm left with questions...

Hey no set up this end, it just works on ours.
Doesn’t need a a memory card for it too print out
I’m reading the description in the link to Amazon and it says lithium battery. Do you ever need to remove that battery and replace?
We have never had to remove ours it charges like a phone or a Bluetooth speaker etc..
Looks like a fun little camera for kids and learn how to capture things (or moment) around them. 😍
It’s perfect for them!
Mine only lasted a week. The paper has jammed inside and can't get the film door open.

The Instax is good for that

In the parents control setting there is an option to close all games[hide]
What age is it for.
I’m not sure what they say but my 4 year old can use it no problem.
@@ItsJonnyKeeleyI’m curious about older kids. My nephew is 8 but lives taking pictures
@@SharpLife4I mean, you can use it yourself, like I using it myself…… You can see if is good or not for a kid, or older kids, right?
@@mya.phoenix cevery kid is different. I know know what kids like these days. I like cameras and find things like this cool
Thanks for sharing.
Had to share this one! Thanks Allen
Very cool. I think i would have fun with it. 😂
Yeah! It’s great.
I not children experience nostalgia for things that were gone before they were born

Thanks for the insight I’ll look into that.
