This guy is awesome, who thinks of that?!?! LOL
thats is true
"a flock of skanks"
"I didn't find London an incredibly enjoyable place to explore." - Sounds like they got London down just right then.
Haha yes thats true
😅
Hahaha 😂
Lol
London is a cesspool these days sadly
It’s a shame about the missing interiors. One thing I loved about wd2 was the number of places you could just visit and check out, like restaurants, bars, multiple HQs, car dealers etc. Made the world rly immersive, and I wanted that for London as a guy who lives in the uk
That's the main thing I want in open world games
This is ps5 era, are they just to lazy?
@@jeannemore1431 Yeah, they prioritize profit
@@gileee They prioritized making every character playable and immersive genius
@@prophismusic yes. that's just laziness from the devs. charging premium for the bare minimum.
This game seems like a proof of concept for systems Ubisoft can use in their next gen only games to make the world feel alive. Hopefully this can be integrated into other games seamlessly, because it could be big for making open world games feel more realistic!
Ubisoft basically does that with every game. They all have the same mechanics. That said, Clint Hawking is involved in this (he was the lead for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Far Cry 2) and he always makes weird games with complex systems so maybe Ubisoft just let him take a risk with this one?
Eh, if so then prepare to milk that system to oblivion just like the watch towers, RPG system they have been shoehorned in all of their new mainstream games.
That's what most games this year have seemed like. Betas. Especially the lacking TLOU2.
Hope so. I have to say this series isn't my thing but hope those who play the series enjoy it.
Yea, that's the feeling I'm getting from this as well. What ever game comes out next with this system is going to be nuts.
A LOT of stuff to like. But some issues that need to be fixed. We get this thing to 300k views I am doing a walking the walk! Thumbs up spread it

Comparing congress to prostitutes is really insulting. To prostitutes. They work hard and they are useful to the society.
Also, you're less likely to catch something nasty from a prostitute, they have certain standards.
@@lwaves lmao imagine thinking prostitutes are clean.
@@ki11aqueen5 lol
@@lwaves standards like "if it's without condom, you'll have to pay more" don't help all that much. those are the standards for a lot of them. best thing you can do is to stay away from that bs, tbh.
@@ki11aqueen5 I mean the ones who work in off of las vegas legally. then yes they HAVE to be clean. they constantly get checked. lol
The Nemesis system is one of my all time favorite systems in games. Making that comparison is a big thing for me, making me more interested in this title. I'll listen to your recommendation and wait, but I'll definitely get this game eventually.
I STILL play Shadow of War weekly because the Nemesis system makes the game so damn replayable! When they introduced the "All Playable Characters" concept, I couldn't help but compare to the Nemesis system. I'm glad someone else sees this comparison! It's the main reason I'm interested in Watch Dogs: Legion.
The nemesis system was so cool I'm surprised the concept wasn't used more often. I guess because it's hard to do.
It'd be a damn shame if SoW was the last we saw of nemesis system.
If you want to play the game, buy it. Never let someone determine whether you play a game or not..
@@djwillyk319 I play it now and then and all I do is run around 'collecting' orcs and then putting them through the online pits to see if they have what it takes to to become legendary its basically become Lord of the Rings:Pokemon for me
This sort of "soft" nemesis system is something I've wanted from games for a long time! The feeling that your actions really matter and actually affect the world and the people around you. Great review. Thanks!

Now that Cyberpunk 2077 got delayed again this game won’t get overlooked now and the same might go with Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla as well
Yup
I am getting both! It gives me plenty of time to play them then ill get cyberpunk when it comes out!
I'm more worried about Valhalla, what I've gathered from most hands on reviews is that it's beyond rough, I know early copies suffer from a lack of a day 1 patch but if this game is a wait for sale AC might end up being a deep deep sale (again, from what I've read and watched, I hope that's not the case as I'd love some AC magic again that only AC2 and Origins has offered in the series' infinitum titling system.)
@@jazzycup9274 Valhalla looks promising. I think it's a serious game contender for this year along with Cyberpunk 2077.
All will flop...,,
Watch Dogs 1 is still my favourite of all these 3. That game portrayed crime and violence in a much more mature way, and the story, and world-building is more coherent. Watch Dogs 2 and 3 looks and feel like the Millennial Falcon meme. The difference feels like playing Max Payne and Saints Row 3
The thing about WD1 was being a vigilante and whacking criminals with the telescopic baton. Loved that.
I thought 2 was miles better
Exactly. They had the start of something good with wd1 then shat all over everything for 2 and legion
Agreed. And I found the story interesting. Well about as interesting as you can get for a game in that year. Did it get repetitive? Yeah. But the plot always gave you a reason to want to keep pushing forward. You felt like Aiden had a purpose. Less so in 2.
While I agree that the first was more gritty the city was uninspired and colors were muted
Play as anyone is cool and all but I want my game with a dedicated main character. I would take Aiden pierce over these robotic random characters anyday
Aiden felt like eating glass while watching paint dry. Marcus felt like someone who only had personality in cutscene and calls, but it was a single personality the whole game. Out of the two, at least Marcus doesn't make me want to see if I'm going colorblind or developing depression by playing as him.
The good news is that Aiden will be playable in the future, and Ubisoft actually went back to tweak the story just for him in case you want to main him as your character!
@@gamer47e17 that's totally fair if you liked Marcus. I just meant I would take a relatively less interesting main character like Aiden instead of no main protagonist at all.
Marcus never clicked for me but Aiden did, but either way that's besides the point.
@@Webrock I enjoyed both tbh, I like Aiden as a character but actually playing him was meh and I will admit he comes off too edgy for me for most of the game. Marcus is again funny and I enjoy him but he is kinda one note and there were signs of development for him but it never actually happened.
@@gamer47e17 I would rather play a character that makes you depressed than a hipster.
Ubisoft games usually are "wait for sale" deals when it comes to Watch dogs and Assassin Creed titles.
Not for me as a fan I buy them day one.
Yeah, it's clever for normal people to wait for sale, cause the quality of the game at all perspective doesn't justify the price.
But as a fan of both titles, I would still buy it near the launch.
All their games are wait for sale. Maybe Far Cry is good, but that's about it
Even if you're really hype about the game, Ubisoft titles tend to be buggy so I'd rather wait until they patch out some of the bugs anyways
This game looks rad, I'll probably pick it up when I can get it for about 20 bucks
Ubisoft games are incredible, when you buy them a year after launch for £15. They then represent great value for money. I would never buy one at launch though.
Lmao Karak's uncontrollable laughter about the beards was great. Glad you kept that in there lol
The laughing at the beards freaking had me. I did not expect that laughter. This is why I love ACG!
Got this yesterday for 20 bucks.

5:30 lol That makes sense, imagine being in a super stressful situation like that, how could you hold your farts??
13:00 this is amazing, even while recording the voice track he still finds the beards genuinely hilarious :D
In a near future, when this game age, people will tell that was ahead of it's time, trust me.
13:08 I gotta be honest, it’s not everyday you hear ACG wheeze 😂😂😂
Awesome to hear him like that. Cheered me up! 😂
Creeped me out a little bit. Dude was really crackin himself up because the beards look shitty
So it doesn't run well on PC too?? YEP, that's indeed Ubisoft game for sure.
I wonder if you gonna review Ghostrunner too.
Im glad u said that because I was originally getting on pc but I went to ps4 instead
@@haunteddreams7856 Hopefully wrong, but can't see how it would fare much better on PS4.
@@haunteddreams7856 you think it’s run better on an inferior hardware? Yeah you’re really are a psycho.
Both of y’all’re forgetting there are games that run better on consoles than PCs. Batman: Arkham Knight is a prime example.
@@Shepard0817 Arkham Knight on PC was just one of many second-rate shitty ports of a console game that happened to release at the same time. (The console version was made by Rocksteady and they outsourced the PC version to someone else)... not the same company developing across all platforms as Ubi does.
There may be some minor exceptions a year or two into new consoles when the median level of PC hardware hasn't eclipsed next-gen consoles' power, but there isn't a PS5/XBSX version for comparison atm. It's definitely not going to perform better on the PS4/XB1.
How high were you when you made that intro?
yes
Hi how are you
Karak, you have been my go-to-guy for reviews for this current gen and you will continue to be as we enter the next gen. 👍🏾
9:23, can we just talk about how out of place this is to the rest of the video? Low key a work of art.
The laughing about the beards made me genuinely happy. Love this guy.
I've been here for years and only listened to the intro and I'm already saying that this is your best review ever!
Your style of reviewing, the way you call a spade a spade and the depth of your coverage is much appreciated. Other reviewers gave the usual slop and vague opinions and I was really on the fence about this. Thanks man. Keep it up.
Damn. Can't get excited for Ubisoft games anymore. Don't know why..
uhh don't take it too hard man. people expect some masterpiece ignoring the fact that those great game were developed for 6 or 7 years. for games that has been developed in 3 or 4 years at last they are pretty fun games. fun is enough from time to time. don't expect tooo much and you will enjoy their games.(id on't mean break point that wa pure sh*t)
They all look mediocre and soulless.
@@devilgames2217 well ac odyssey and The division 2 had their souls i'd say.
Same,I know why though,I'm tired of their open world designs, just throwing at your thousands of meaningless repetitive activities with underwhelming payoffs, quantity over quality in short, theirs games more and more look like cheap fast food compared to other high quality games (and Ubisoft isn't alone in this). But that's just me,I do like a burger tho, just not at the price of a steak with prawns, caviar, bottle of Jack Daniels from 1865 cooked by Gordon Ramsay.
Is it because they systematically abused their employees for years ?
I love the lines that you have in this video makes it way more easier and funnier to watch then a average review. I thank my feed for showing me this video
I preordered and for me I love games like this, crazy don’t take too serious and I bet the game will be enjoyable especially with permadeath. It’s a game that you will have to get knee deep into it to find all it can offer for the “fun factor.”
See, here's your happy Ubisoft costumer:
Knows what the game offers him before even playing it once aaaand likes it that way.
PRO TIP: for faster recruitment always use the investigation in the deep profile instead of the missions, the only downside is that you will get one dislike from a random npc but it's always fast and easy. You need to do it twice if your recruit dislike deadsec.
Cyberpunk delayed again..i guess im playing this and valhalla
I literally cancelled my Cyberpunk pre order after finding out about the delay so that I could buy this instead.
Yep, that was going to be my first big next gen experience on my Series X. Now AC Valhalla will be... what a shame.

12:39 - 13:19 is by far the best part of this video. Great review, Karak.
I’ve picked up this game recently and I’ve been loving it! I agree on the negative points you made however. But other than that recruiting and hand to hand combat has never been so much fun, you kinda have to have a great imagination to build your own stories around these AI generated NPC’s who you recruit. Great review 😎
I’m a big fan of the footnotes you put up during the video. It flows well!
That is awesome to know thanks!
The opening and the beard bit killed me.
I really enjoy when games create an "organic" world, and what you described sounds really cool.
Like the brother about to join you not wanting to anymore because of what happened. That wasn't a scripted event, and what you did in gameplay actually affected the NPC characters.
It's also a pretty cool idea that brings me some level of anxiety, because being able to play as just ANYONE in the city, also makes it so that I actually think about the NPC's as more valuable than one might in a game like GTA. The people of London are actually a commodity, so you can't go on shooting rampages and just run random people over like someone might do in a GTA game.
Also I love your honest hearty laugh, and you have a great point in that most people don't look like moviestars, so why should Jason Robinson, the butcher's apprentice who likes to watch figure skating and sing Disney songs at Karaoke look like Chris Hemsworth?
I live in the UK...this is how people look here..LOL!
So true buddy! They should be quarantine dlc! Not sure what tier London will be under😂

Thanks Karrak. After so many ‘buyers remorse’ purchases this year I promised myself I would wait for an honest review. 👍🏻

Great review, as always. "Organic, emergent", if this game is a hit for Ubisoft, I'd expect their game cross-fertilization machine to kick in on all of their open-world titles. Done right, procedural game systems are going to be a bright new future for their massive open-world games. Division 3 should be an open world that is alive, like this.
I feel like a 0.85x playback speed should be created just for your reviews.
Love your stuff, keep up the good work.

As a victim of the first game and it’s mess of a launch, I relate. Sale it is for this game.
Ubisoft knows they can't dream of competing with GTA even when the last game in the series was published 7 years ago. So they decided to go on the goofy path just like the Saints Row.
Great review man, I'm hoping for a walking the walk with this game. That's a brilliant series of videos you got going...

Great review, thanks ACG! Having been interested in the Watch Dogs series since the original, yet never having played any of the games, I'm excited to play Legion, warts and all. The recruiting system seems quirky and silly, and frankly I'm just looking forward to playing a game that doesn't take itself too seriously, is fun to explore and provides some lol moments. Also, the London setting has particular appeal to me as an American living in London for the past 2 years, can't wait to explore the city virtually and poke around near my office in Southwark and visit the different neighborhoods of central London!

I was expecting more from Watch Dogs Legion. Sure, it looks fun. Causing chaos in an open world is always satisfying and cathartic, but I can't justify buying it on launch day. Initially, I was really excited that I could play as anyone, even a gun toting grandma, which is absurd and it's part of the game's charm and appeal. The fact that an average, everyday person can save the city is a neat idea. The inclusion of permadeath ups the challenge considerably. However, I feel like something is missing this time around. The city seems barren with very few civilians at any given moment. Buildings are there just for the sake of window dressing. Voice modulation doesn't work all the time. Facial hair looks really awkward. Music is alright. Performance is inconsistent. There are bugs and glitches as well. Again, there is definitely fun to be had in the world of Watch Dogs Legion, but it's just not worth the full $60 price tag. There seem to be more flaws with Legions than there were in the previous two installments combined. Having said that, I will most likely wait until it goes on sale before I decide to purchase it. Otherwise, thanks once again Karak for another honest, unbiased and informative review. As always, I greatly appreciate the continued hard work. Keep bringing the awesome content!
