Arkhamverse is pretty much BTAS, only darker, more adult-themed, modern, and with a bit of influence from Nolan’s trilogy. That’s why I love it so much. One of the best depictions of Batman-and his rogues gallery-ever.

Dont forget asylum being based quite a bit off of the graphic novel a serious house on serious earth. So much cooler once youve read it too, just adds a whole other layer of appreciation

I’d say because almost the entire game is about finding a cure for you and joker. In the end, you don’t even get the cure for him, thus meaning that for joker the entire night was a futile attempt to cling to life

Considering that almost all of the original team left during the development of SSKTJL, most of the old crew probably knew, the new people who replaced then, probably didn’t or didn’t care.

It's in the Arkhamverse, but deadshot in these games is from a different Earth. Earth-2 is where he is from. And I'm not 100% but I belive even tho basically every thing lines up with the Arkham games I think suicide squad is also a different Earth as well. In the game, they call it elseworlds. Think in season 1 when it drops next month it will have joker in it that looks nothing g like the ones in past games because he is from another Earth as well

boomerang in the comics has regenerative abilities (since the arkhamverse takes ispirations from both the comics and the DCAU we can say that boomerang has this ability even in the arkhamverse), Penguin refers to have worked with king shark's cousin. The game explain it already.

I love the Arkhamverse, I always see it as a realistic take on the Animated Series between the voices, the designs, architecture etc. Most the portrayals of the characters (Joker, Riddler, Freeze, Hugo Strange, Scarecrow, Croc etc) are my favorite interpretations of the villains! I loved the Bane we got in Origins however they dumbed him down for the rest of the series
I guess we could put that down to Bane's memory being damaged at the end of Origins, would be a good reason to why he feels more dumbed down in the rest of the games

Arkham Batman is an absolute unit. His fighting prowess, strength, speed, tech, and strategic mind make him the most capable Batman outside of comics.
Riddler calls himself Enigma during Arkham Origins and only after the end of the story and the Enigma side mission can Batman talk to Alfred, who reveals Enigma's real name is Edward Nashton. He presumably changes it later to Edward Nigma

I played most of the games including the DLC but never connected everything this way. This is really a terrific compendium and hats off to RockSteady for creating one of the most coherent and brilliant story arcs ever. I do love the Arkham series and version of the Batman.

"Batman and phycology" in it it goes into detail about batman and his rouges gallery and there mental state and batman actually does NOT qualify for PTSD... he cannot be diagnosed as such from his symptoms

A man who never got therapy for the murder of his parents that copes with doing crimefighting in a costume that represents an animal he was scared of. A man whois willing to do everything except he is scared of doing so and thus creating a "rule" to keep himself in check essentially confirming that if he does in fact not do that he wont stop, i also remember him saying that if he jumps from the cliff (the cliff being the metaphor for his last moral keeping him from killing) he will never stop falling. I am really interest in what exactly does Bruce suffer from.

Bodies disappear in Arkham Games all the time. They’re supposed to represent time passing by saying the cops came to pick up the body. Happens in Asylum, City and Origins.

@Amritansh Mishra I guess we just got lucky. Games allow for things like having the *perfect* cast of characters, by that i mean you can literally copy paste a comic book to a game, a live action would have a lot of things that make things harder to produce. Also about the lucky part, Rocksteady and Insomniac were truly a one of a kind (or two in this case) to have made superhero games, you can see the heart that went into both games giving a faithful adaptation. Believe me when i say most superhero games don't give a good representation of the characters, take The Avengers game, Amazing spiderman 2 game or other Batman, Supes and Aquaman games.
It's not a common opinion but Origins is my favorite of the Arkham games.
I just love the assassins bounty aspect of it
Origins is grossly underrated. People exaggerate its flaws while ignoring the flaws of the other ones, and then pretend like small details are big deals. It's crazy how much undeserved hate it gets.
Orgins was a phenomenal game plus the story was really great to me somehow

Tbf, I think that in the Arkham games the Robins aren’t as young as they are in things like comics and the Animated shows. They’re more like late teens to young adults, hence why it makes sense that she and Tim Drake might be the same age, since Tim maybe 5 years younger than her or less. Which would have him be recruited when he was like seventeen.

@@grab2win982 if you played the arkham asylum game, you get to a part where the game starts to look glitched, the screen freezes and the game starts all over again. it looks like your game is failing but is actually a cut scene induced by the scarecrow's toxin... it was pretty scary the first time I played it because I thought that my game was broken for real

I like how Calendar Man's greatest fear is a Calendar with wrong dates
One thing that was missed that should have been mentioned is when Gordon seemingly betrays Batman and shoots him, Batman reveals later after saving Barbara that Gordon was just pretending to betray him and he intentionally aimed at the symbol on Batman's chest when he shot, which is the most protected part of his armor.
Arkham origins is way too underrated, I personally enjoy it more than Arkham Asylum

Yea tbh. But I mean he couldn’t keep that up forever, eventually he had to give up the cowl and relax. Scarecrow just kinda sped up that process. If it wasn’t him, it’d probably be old age and a mini heart attack, like in the Beyond universe.

I like to think that after the games ended that Jason took on the mantle of Batman by force and the Battle for the Cowl storyline played out and that Red Hood was the fear toxin induced Batman at the end of the game

The moment I was told batman's head explodes I actually felt my mind be blown, if there is any way to show intelligence for batman in Arkhamverse it was this moment right here. That entire thing was huge

Grew up on Batman watching the shows, movies, and now playing the games. Ya know, after watching this timeline and thinking about it in depth, it’s a miracle anyone makes a decision to continue to live in Gotham. It’s gotta be the worst city to live in, in any comic book, with all these supervillians concentrated in one area.

I'm surprised they didn't mention calender man being in the audience when Wayne manor explodes. But this was awesome, I don't read comics and I'm behind on the dcau so I didn't know half of this stuff. Puts a lot into perspective and answer some questions that I had.

The Arkham origins prequel comic was actually a cyoa. They simply used information from different choices. In fact about Andrea Dent. Two will lead you there, but only one will allow you to know who she is. In the other path, she's unknown.
I love how back when my grandpa was younger, Batman was a guy who was extremely vanilla, and known best for his detective abilities, and now he’s an ass kicking badass

That's basically the premise of Gotham Knight, the next game set In the batman universe. Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood and Batgirl must team up and protect Gotham at the demand of a supposedly deceased Batman.

honestly i’d love to just see a game with both Dick and Damian, they bounce off eachother perfectly.

Hell, there was a cancelled game with Damien in a Batman Beyond style suit against aged villains from this timeline. Would've been better than what we've gotten since.. M
