One of the NPCs you can recruit should be someone cosplaying as one of the Assassins from assassins creed.
A packed venue with people cosplaying as a bunch of Ubisoft title characters.
But Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs are in the same universe tho. So someone ‘cosplaying’ as an assassin does not make sense

hopefully the difficulty is high enough so that you really want to take advantage of each character's perks
There is a harder mode with perma death
where if your character dies they fully die and if all of your team dies the game ends
@@charlienee4102 Permadeath even if the game is restarted you cant get those characters back. Once all characters die you have to by a new game.

Well the first 2 games in the series had a Realistic difficulty mode where you go down in a couple of shots, so I assume this will have the same

If Ubisoft just put a London skin over WD2 (not like that sort of thing hasn't happened before ;) people would still buy Legion. But, this non numbered entry seems to have more innovation than
any Ubisoft sequel of the last few years at least. It may not be as a big of a shift as GTA 3 to 4 was. But, judging how WDL is shaping up this does come across as a legit next-gen experience.

People aren't noticing it but Shadow of War, Odyssey - this game here - sandbox games are taking of in a way that was never really possible before and if you think about it, imagine where this leads when all of the different systems we already see, get more refined and eventually lead to a game that does it all and does all not just good but great. What a time to be alive.
Watchdogs 2 was a level design gem. Save for the hipster characters haha

The problem I had with Watch Dogs 2 was that the whole game was driven by systems, rather than providing tailored missions. Exploring the world, checking off collectibles & doing story missions were exactly the same thing. I'm really hoping they go back to creating some more set pieces & memorable story missions.

Valhalla is, sadly, panning out to be a disappointment. I was quite hyped for the setting but it’s 80% rehashed from the two AC games before it (which I played through and disliked)

Ubisoft will cannibalize their games releasing Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed so close together plus Cyberpunk is coming out and I'm sure most people will go with Cyberpunk over both of those.

It's 2020, we have Ray-tracing, DLSS, and fancy graphics cards, but developers cannot design clothes and armor that doesn't cause clipping. One day we'll get there.. One day.
I love how literally every person reviewing the demo uses the wrong lane when driving
The fact that your team is personal to you and that it's practically hand tailored to your wishes is enough of a selling point for me. I don't ask for much.
Being able to form your own crew with different skills and personalities takes me back to my childhood when I used to roleplay different made up stories in video games with my little brother. The amount of freedom this game offers (probably at the cost of a good story) I think can turn out really well. Good on Ubi for trying something different, and thanks to the developers working hard on their projects. It takes dedication.
The concept is really great. One of my most anticipated upcoming games.

YoungYea experienced a repeated recruitment mission he went to the same place and NPC he was recruiting was the same voice actor with the same lines but deferment character model

01:12 "spy car , with missiles and cloak" crazy. The operatives and their back stories look very cool. I like the fact there are lots of races, genders and older characters too.
Watch Dogs 2 has this same kind of "do it however you want" sandbox gameplay, but on a smaller scale, so I'm disappointed that the free Watch Dogs 2 giveaway during the stream didn't work. It has very fun gameplay if you can ignore the goofy, sometimes cringey characters. Having played WD2, everything they've shown of Legion has me excited so far.

Seems like a fun game but will wait for a sale. Just played too many of these types of open world games to be too excited. Def put too many hours in WD2 as well.
This looks a lot better than other watch dogs games tho. This looks more unique and fun and doesn't look repetitive. I was not hyped for this game at all but after seeing it its now one of my most anticipated games.
@@digestedfish6767 I agree that it looks like a nice change in terms of world and especially with the playable characters. The main gameplay loop seems about the same though. Run around with the same hacking abilities, same fighting and AI. sure the world is deeper - potentially.
Watch Dogs 1 had story, Watch Dogs 2 had spirit. Hopefully Watch Dogs Legion will have the gameplay.
Wow, was not at all interested in either of the two previous games, but this actually looks like it could be a lot of fun; building a rag-tag army sounds pretty awesome. With a decent story, I think the game could really shine. Props to Ubisoft for the transparency this time around with the game’s early state

The scheduling system of each NPC actually sounds really fascinating. It's really cool that it's broken down in such a granular level

I'm not from London but I've been to various areas quite a bit and it's always nice to see games set in your homeland.
I thought WD1 was lacking but it had potential. WD2's story wasn't great but I had a huge amount of fun just messing around in the open world. Hopefully this will allow the same thing but better. Think I'll wait until it's out though and listen to what people have to say about it. Karak will definitely cover it after this video.
I'm still not sure why people are so hyped for Cyberpunk 2077 when I see so much more potential in this game.

@@stevenbobbybills Well I don't know if you have heard about the Witcher 3... but its a game many people love, and the same people are working on CP2077. I also played the previous Witcher games (many have only played the 3rd) the first one was decent for when it came out and the sequel was a great game that showed a lot of improvement in practically every aspect. Then Witcher 3 came out and blew everyone away raising the bar for open world action RPGs. So with CD Projekt Red developing CP2077 people have good reason to believe it will be a solid game given their track record always making the next game better than the last.
Not to mention we already have good reason to believe the plot and characters in CP2077 are going to be more interesting than Valhalla and WD Legion, I loved WD2 and put dozens of hours into it but I definitely wasn't playing it for the story.

I like it in that way, like "ohh man, that swat NPC looks so cool" and the best thing is, i can play as that guy now, without any mods or trainers. You will actually get that ONE NPC, you will like and spend with him much time. I also like, that when there will be restricted interior, you can go there as that cop, or whatever and they will not attack you, till you will make some stuff around, so you can explore interiors now, unlike in WD2.

There’s just something about this game that tells me it won’t be good. I suppose the whole system they’re making needs to be seen to be believed. Just doesn’t seem like you can have a good narrative with this ‘play everyone’ system. We’ll see
I think you will get attached to your characters
The game will be all about emergent narrative aka stories you're telling yourself through gameplay mechanics and systems using your recruited characters. The same way Shadow of Mordor series was all about the nemesis system and orcs.
I think it would work well if it was in a zombie apocalypse with this system I guess kinda like stayed of decay but better
Like someone else said, my favorite thing to do will simply be trying to find the best characters. For example, trying to find a person with a specific profession (like being a spy) with a specific set of attributes/abilities, that looks cool.
Why even have that clothing with so much clipping. Accept the limitations of the tech and stop designing the game like you had actual physical collisions.
It's not even out of beta yet ffs. Red dead redemption 2 had multiple clipping issues with outfits that later got fixed. The issues you're mentioning are easily fixable, no need to panic especially since it's an early build

I used to work around the area the demo is showing (a set of offices called London Riverside) and I have to say they're pretty close to what's there (that shop to the left is a restaurant and we don'thave flags everywhere in England. That's a very American thing). It's trippy.
I am so fed up with the sheer mediocrity of modern videogames.
And worse yet people actually celebrate mediocrity especially in Ubisoft games. At this point all of Ubisoft's open world titles offer the same cookie cutter experience .

@@danecap3188 I've kinda stopped playing video games for the last few months or so. The last games i enjoyed were Death Stranding and the Sinking City. Death stranding was really unique, intuitive and innovative. Felt fresh. The sinking city i loved because I'm a huge Lovecraft enthusiast.
I really just want to see original games and not another ubisoft open world. They are all fundamentally the same.

This game feels like their most...real game. Like other games just get a cold heartless CG trailer with no gameplay. But watch dogs legion, they’ve only showed gameplay, they’ve showed the developers talking about the game, and are setting realistic impressions, I must say I’m impressed.
This game could really benefit if ubisoft talked to monolith about using the nemesis system

Ubisoft needs to work on their recruiting system and offer us a semi-hardcore mode, where dead team members can be replaced. Other than that, this game is 10/10 gem.
I wish people could see that way but just like most games it’s going to get a 5 or a 6 user score metacritic because these people are never happy when a game doesn’t change up the industry as a whole.
Cool impressions vid. Game looks like it sucks though. Looks just like 1 and 2, except you get to switch characters.
A lot of what you like about this game seems to echo my first impressions of Watch Dogs 2. I picked it up a couple days ago, and I'm blown away by the attention to detail, the level of interactivity you have with the world, how there always seems to be something to do and plenty of different ways to do it.
What exactly turned you off to it? Is it the plot, the characters, the sociopolitical stuff?
