Love your set up man! Took me by surprise when you said you've never played on a stage before. I assumed you were a stage veteran by now lmao. You need to go slay some crowd faces brother! You're definitely super qualified to play with any band lol
I gotta get around to writing some original music and booking a few shows.
@@sixstringtv1 I'm sure your original shit would slay!! I'm here for it bro ✊
@@sixstringtv1 form a band! I would totally listen
"I won't spend 250 on any pedal"
Slides looper/drum machine under my chair
Wow, that is like a mini board for me. I run 3 boards with about 50 pedals, a 24" #1 Ground Control- all Whammy4, Filters, octave, wah, Ringworm, Wah, Exp#2 (42"×17) is the Motherbrain with custom co designed Saturnworks 3 loop switch Motherbrain Series Series Parallel blend covered in synth, comp. Pre modulations fuzz, HM2s, more fuzz and HM2s a Micro Dark mounted on for the pre-amp and emergency 20W amp. Then #3 the Space Station 32x18 , 6 Delays including a DD500, Rubberneck, DM2W etc...Rainbow Machine post modulations glitch more Expression and pitch and both large boards have a volume pedal at the end. I RUn the DD500 before the volume then a Nux Time Core stereo through to have repeats of my crazy ass Ambient swells...... like 6 synth pedals..... I'm nuts...... too many HM2S too 😅 Also, EQD switches are noiseless and the new ones can be momentary!
Yeah I have 2 boards with 40 pedals total! And I believe the switches are called Soft Switches. Saturnworks uses some great feeling switches
do the phaser video
I'm so tempted.
Great video bud iam actually looking at some pedals this evening delays mostly for the moment . thanks for the share !!
16:30 Phase 95 for the win.... min size pedal with phase 90 and 45, script and regular..... i have the one knob chorus and it is the heaviest pedal i ever owned, the flanger and blue box are similar.... is the phase 90 heavy or light..... it should be the 'same circuit' that i have in my phase 95 mini, but maybe not, i never had the phase 90..... the weight of that one knob chorus makes me think it's all needed to get that sound. i just wonder about the phase 90 now.....
I've spent $580 on a guitar pedal before. Something that really spoke to my soul and when I found out about it I had to own it. So no judgement to you tone chasers out there.
Oh... I'll give someone a reason to pick something else over a Carbon Copy... one thing.... that insane LED it has. You turn it on and then it burns out your retinas.
I use a DS-1 and a nice $300 Marshall. For the pedal I have the tone at 52%, the distortion at 75% and the level at max. Acually sounds really good with the amp settings of treble at 10 mid at 5 and bass at 7. Any Strat on any setting goes so well with those. (Strat+Marshall is a timeless and amazing combo)
That is my entire pedal board or lack thereof
Nice Tuna pedal. Hehe.
If you want to get a more accurate weight of it on that scale all you have to do is weigh yourself first then weigh yourself again while holding the pedal board. Then you can do a little subtraction and get a more accurate number.
I moved on from independent pedals. My pedal board got so huge and heavy. So I got myself a GT1000 from Roland and called it a day. Live sound sounds fine and the crowd only notices the difference in distortion when the gear is loud. I rarely play cleans so for me, having all the pedals was overkill after 20 years.
100% agree that multi boards are convenient, high quality, and simple. Lots of people hate them for no reason
@@LeftHandedRightHanded they sound exactly the same as the individual pedal and some settings have more parameters which helps you really dial it in. My 5150 has great gain and with the pedal I have a great effects system. If I want distortion I can use it too. Some of the presets are effing amazing. Yeah Im good!
@@LeftHandedRightHanded I subscribed to your channel!
Did you try the Keeley Compressor? Just wondering.
How many languages do you speak? I'd also look at the Donner Soph Gate, it's very, very good. And the best phaser I have ever used is my Pearl (yup, the drum company) PH-03 Phaser, or it's even better big brother the PH-44. I would also look at the JHS Emperor Chorus/Vibrato over that Chorus, it has the old Arion chip, and short of the Rockman, may be the best chorus of the 80's.
Two, English and German.
I've tried to buy the Sophgate, never arrived. Had to ask for a refund. Maybe I'll try a 2nd time
@@sixstringtv1 Seems to be easier to attain on Amazon, though I don't know if that's the same for you guys in Europe. I purchased mine when they just came out on a Black Friday sale and got it for a song through Donner. Replaced my 200+ USD ISP Deci-Mate G mini noise gate, which had the flimsiest internal TRS jack ever made. We'll just say I have no urge to purchase to Fortin Zuul Mini.
I'm a bit surprised those Malmsteen pedals are going for so much these days.. I got mine new in 2016 for about €50 so I don't think 2005 sounds right.. unless that was the start of their run
The EVH sig of the Phase 90 you can switch between block/script modes if you like both and just want one
I've been thinking about buying like 12 phaser pedals and doing a "great phaser shootout"
but I have a feeling nobody would watch that
I would, I love phasers. I'm in both guitar and synth worlds, so it's fun to hear them on both. One thing often missed from phaser demos is the slowest LFO cycle speed they can do.. I timed the Moogerfooger phaser at around 4 minutes for a full cycle. The Haible Tau Pipe phaser by Random*Source is also really nice.. 18 pole.. but it's in eurorack format not pedal
@@sixstringtv1 definetly would watch. Try the phaser from the Marshall RG1, it has two btw, but one is more like a toy (step phaser) the other is great.
Yeah there is like a good year I just worked on playing yingwies style ..lol still hate when a student request it tho..him an bucket.lol buti want that pedal.didnt kno it was a thing .be cool to blend with my 6505+..ps Steven still owes me for those mushrooms..fuckin leech
I think it’s just fine to have a home pedal board that is entirely impractical in size lol edit to say, you aren’t getting away from noise with fuzz pedals. Just make sure to keep them up at the very front of your signal chain generally and phasers in the fx loops are dumb, I agree lol
Cool pedal choices
Update?
Clocks in at „too heavy“.. spit my coffee laughin out 😂
Geilo junge. .. and you ‘re english accent and vocab is marvelous mate. Keep it up 🤘🏽🍻
Thanks 😁😁
surprised you don’t have a wah
I really don't like the sound they make 🤣
Mr. K, great Video. ich hab es genossen. mach weiter so und die Abos werden kommen. !!!!
Did I get it right that you put your fuzzes after OD and Distortion? Maybe try them go first, that might cope with some noise issues maybe. I had some issues finding the sweetspot of the NS2, it tends to suck some sustain and attack when not dialed in properly. I use a lot of marshall pedals (the later in silver cases) and think they are good value for the money (you get them for like 50€ each), what do you think of them?
I don't love the sound of fuzz before distortion, but I can give it a try with my current configuration. As for the Marshall pedals, you mean the Guv'nor-era pedals? Cause those are pretty damn good and I'm a sucker for anything Marshall
@@sixstringtv1 I meant the early 2000s series like Gov2 and BB2 and so on. They are not as good as the originals, but especially the non-drive pedals(RG,RF,EH) are very versatile and sound good to me and cost a fraction of the old Bluesbreaker or Govnor.
man...i was on the fence at first, but i subscribed. u cool man! 🍻 :D
Thanks for the sub! 😁😎
your setup is great and i liked the fender pedals of your collection
but I suggest you to use a friedman OD because it has a variety of drives and sounds insane . its also a great distortion pedal !
It’s more of a distortion then overdrive lol I tried using the Friedman be as a od/boost didn’t work out so well even after turning down the internal gain pot
@@callenmcclusky4383 ya it sounds like a distortion pedal but i still mentioned it hence the name
It’s missing grilled cheese
danelectro food pedals video coming up
This guy has never heard of getting clones lol. You can save lots of money buying small builder's pedals
What if I don't want those tho? 🤔
@@sixstringtv1 you'd be amazed how good quality those pedals can be
I know they can be great, but I don't want em
@@sixstringtv1 it's all good, but you can really be saving money. I think I only have 1 big name brand and that's Digitech lol
