The man has sung and played on some of the BEST rock material to come out in the last 20 years between Alter Bridge and Slash, he's just one of the most amazing dudes from this generation. I freaking love him.
Myles is one of the biggest influences to a lot of musicians and guitarists and singers because of his attitude, humble nature, and incredible use of all his genre bending ways. One of the most knowledgeable and passionate frontmen I’ve ever seen. Always looked up the this man
Once I found Myles Kennedy, he very quickly shot to the top of my list of favorite musicians ever. Alter Bridge is my favorite thing he does but everything he touches turns to gold. Myles Kennedy+ Mark Tremonti = 🔥🎸
Myles Kennedy seems like a down to earth person. Awesome person from what I've read about him. Super talented guy. Another awesome coffee with Ola video. Thanks for posting.
Myles says he's lucky...true but his talent really speaks volumes. Song writing for this many years it so tough and he seems to come out the other side in good shape every time.
I really love everything he does. His playing and vocals with all his projects are absolutely incredible. The first time I heard his solo in Blackbird I was blown away. Mark has the shredding, but Myles has the feels. He just writes amazing guitar parts and equally amazing lyrics.
Myles Kennedy is from around my hometown. He’s my favorite guitarist and singer. His songs and writing style really hit home with me and a lot of his songs pay homage to the areas I grew up visiting and hold dear to my heart also. Love ya Myles!
They have so many great epic guitar forward songs with Myles’ gigantic vocals soaring above it all! They also have alot of fantastic introspective songs. Awesome under-known band💪
Had the pleasure to tour in Brazil as a guitar tech for an opening act for Slash, and Myles is just this gentleman, quiet talking guy. The first thing he asked me, first time I saw him on backstage, was if I was been treated well by the tour crew. How nice is this guy? And he and Slash goes to the airplanes caring a guitar each, to be able to play it in their rooms at hotels, cause the stage gear goes in trucks and they only see it when on stage. That's shows a bit of why they are what they are! And the Conspirators are the nicest guys on earth! We hanged out every night at the hotels in Brazil 🖤
Great convo. Wish it was longer. Myles is a fantastic singer. The pitch he hits in Mayfield Four's Summergirl is 👌 Wish he would use his high pitch more.
Nice job, Ola! That was a very good interview for a non-interviewer. Myles is always so nice and easy going. Really enjoyed the interaction between both of you. I've had the honor of seeing AB a couple of times and I can't even imagine it without Myles on guitar, but he's right, Mark takes up a lot of sonic space. Last show I was at the barricade right in front of Mark's cab. Holy sh!t was that awesome!
Met him and AB in 2004 for their debut release at the Chicago Virgin Records store when I was in middle school. Saw them live 6 or 8 times in between that and meeting back up with them in Seattle and did a stage rig rundown. Amazing people and musicians. Love you Myles!
Often interviews just run the same topics over and over again, but I'm glad this one felt a bit more like a natural chat instead of straight Q&A. Love his work.
He is such an idol for me. the way he handles life, and his super pure talent, is still unmattched. Saw him live, and will see him live in Budapes, Hungary. Bought VIP, gotta talk to him still amazes me. biggest inspo for me :))
This was a great surprise! Alter Bridge has been one of my favorite bands for over 15 years. Myles is such an unbelievable talent, the kind you only see a few times in a generation. Great interview. I could honestly watch you guys talk for hours.
14:25 This is so true and it's why i still love playing and learning songs today over 20 years after getting started. There's nothing like finally playing one of your favorite songs with the song
Myles and Mark are some of the coolest dudes you can meet in life! No matter if you are playing the same fest or just a fan waiting outside - they always have time for you!
This man is literally my Eddie Van Halen(and EVH himself), his songs are my Eruption. Glad I found many good inspirational role models! He’s a cool dude, and I adore him.
Saw Alter bridge in Cardiff on the One day remains cycle. Someone shouted 'stand up and shout' from the audience and the band went into the song from the Rockstar move. Classy move. They also had Highway star/Whole lotta Rosie/Hallelujah and Rock and roll in the set as they only had one album at the time. Met them all afterward and they were awesome. Have seen them a few times since and have always been an amazing live band :)
die hard metalhead, but as i get older, this dude and tremontis stuff i guess is a guilty pleasure, you cant deny this guys voice, and their stuff is quality. theyre good dudes too
Myles is a long-time friend of Ian Thornley (Big Wreck, Thornley) and I appreciate how they have often shout each other out. You can pick out Myles' voice singing backup in Breakthrough by Big Wreck. He was still in the Mayfield Four then. Touring together it was the first time Ian heard of voice warmup (from Myles) and Myles was encouraged to try open tuning from Ian. Another collaboration would be awesome.
People probably won't believe me but I went to school with Myles and have known him since he was about 14 and he has not changed one iota, he doesn't even look that different lol
Use to watch Myles @ a bar called the Blue Dolphin in the Spokane Valley can not remember the band Citizen swing maybe He stole the show every time! Love Myles Kennedy!
That was a cool interview. You could definitely feel when the other side stops answering questions and it becomes an entertaining chat between music geeks. Definitely the case here, Myles was in good mood right out of the gates and I found it interesting even as a non-musician. 👍
Great Interview Ola! I always was a little reticent about Alter Bridge and Miles singing. This Interview change my mind. Time to go back a give him a proper listen 😉
Hellz yeah! My love of guitar started when I was around 10, playing air guitar to KISS and jumping around the living room. The first 'concert' I did was an air guitar contest, with 3 other guys. We did a couple KISS songs (I was Ace) in full makeup and costumes. Three of us went on to form an actual hard rock band.
Next please Mark Tremonti
That would be awesome 🤘🏼😎
He´s bringing Tremonti to Sweden next year, so it might actually happen
yes! do it!!!
Waiting for this one!
Yessss

We love you Myles
Yeah, still loving the harmonizing with David Draiman of Disturbed on Sound of Silence. 🤘
It's almost like Myles doesn't really understand how incredibly talented he really is. Nice interview Ola cheers.
Myles blew us all away when he came into the game. He’s amazing.
Once I found Myles Kennedy, he very quickly shot to the top of my list of favorite musicians ever. Alter Bridge is my favorite thing he does but everything he touches turns to gold.
Myles Kennedy+ Mark Tremonti = 🔥🎸
My sentiments exactly!. I couldn't have said it better myself!
Myles Kennedy seems like a down to earth person. Awesome person from what I've read about him. Super talented guy. Another awesome coffee with Ola video. Thanks for posting.

He's so humble!
And his music never disapoints me!
Super underrated vocalist dude is gnarly🤘🤙
Always this "underrated" thing, jeez...🙄
No f*cking way man!! Yes Ola!! This is awesome
I really love everything he does. His playing and vocals with all his projects are absolutely incredible. The first time I heard his solo in Blackbird I was blown away. Mark has the shredding, but Myles has the feels. He just writes amazing guitar parts and equally amazing lyrics.
Glad to see Kevin Bacon
😅 he does favor Kevin Bacon
Have we ever seen Kevin Bacon and Myles in the same place?
I knew he looked like someone and could never place it. That's it! lol
@@PaveL123-w3c 🤣
Terrific actor to say the least!
Myles Kennedy is from around my hometown. He’s my favorite guitarist and singer. His songs and writing style really hit home with me and a lot of his songs pay homage to the areas I grew up visiting and hold dear to my heart also.
Love ya Myles!
Shout out from Spokane! We love Myles!
Yes Myles! Seen Alter Bridge live plenty on times over the years - he’s probably my favourite vocalist of all time. Incredible talent.
Myles is so adorable! He is so good at what he does, and yet so humble. Love him!
Myles is awesome! Not a massive Alter Bridge fan but the song Blackbird is epic AF! His vocal performance was incredible on that one!
They have so many great epic guitar forward songs with Myles’ gigantic vocals soaring above it all! They also have alot of fantastic introspective songs. Awesome under-known band💪
@@RB-oc7tiFor sure!😊

Such a cool guy. Saw him touring with Slash in Dublin a few years ago and my head nearly exploded when they played You Could Be Mine. It was flawless.
Great convo. Wish it was longer. Myles is a fantastic singer. The pitch he hits in Mayfield Four's Summergirl is 👌
Wish he would use his high pitch more.
He seems like a genuinely nice guy. I personally like his work in Alter Bridge more than his work with Slash.
Anastasia is one of the most ear grating songs I've ever heard
The Voice of Myles is one out of a million. It’s so awesome!
My all time favorite front man, amazing voice and great guitar player!
One of the best vocalist!!!!!
I’m from Spokane Washington also and Mayfield 4 was an awesome local band.🤘
Me too! I've still got Mars Hotel on my phone.
Me too!
Awesome interview with one of my favorite musicians! Would love it if you could also have coffee with Mark!
Myles Kennedy is a legend. His voice is 2nd to none bro. Well done on this interview.
Nice job, Ola! That was a very good interview for a non-interviewer. Myles is always so nice and easy going. Really enjoyed the interaction between both of you. I love how Myles always asks the interviewer questions. It's like he has a genuine conversation in every interview he does.
Great interview Ola Myles seems like a really cool guy to hang out with and talk to.

Absolutely love Myles, one of the most humble and talented guys in the business! \M/
Myles is such a nice guy! So down to earth and kind man! It's nice watching this guy talking :)
Fantastic singer. So far, I dig the new sons. Can't wait to listen the full album.
This was a great surprise! Alter Bridge has been one of my favorite bands for over 15 years. Myles is such an unbelievable talent, the kind you only see a few times in a generation. Great interview. I could honestly watch you guys talk for hours.
He is a incredible guitarist as well as one of the greatest singers
That was a fantastic interview with the great Myles ❤
Such a great person and artist, kudos for having him!!

Great interview with one of the best rock singers! Not many people can create that sweet Rick Beato vibe in their interviews, but you can.
Saw Alter bridge in Cardiff on the One day remains cycle. Someone shouted 'stand up and shout' from the audience and the band went into the song from the Rockstar move. Classy move. Too cool they did Stand up and Shout. I would love to see some live shows with that band.
Myles is my hero. I am so giddy about this one. Big ups for you Ola!
I love watching MK. He's so talented and humble! Great job, Ola
Myles is so awesome. Really excited to see him live in Stockholm Nov 1st!
die hard metalhead, but as i get older, this dude and tremontis stuff i guess is a guilty pleasure, you cant deny this guys voice, and their stuff is quality. theyre good dudes too
Myles sold me an eps 16+ (it’s a keyboard) waaaay back in the early to mid 90s. He worked at a store called music world in our hometown Spokane.
Hell Yeah, Myles blew me away when I first listened to the "World on Fire" album with Slash🤘
My number 1 favorite clean vocalist fantastic voice !!!
Awesome! Myles es genial, tengo una PRS mira 09 porque él solía tocar una con Slash, creo que ahora tengo que ahorrar para su signature.
Myles is not only a great singer but one helluva guitar player
Myles is a long-time friend of Ian Thornley (Big Wreck, Thornley) and I appreciate how they have often shout each other out. You can pick out Myles' voice singing backup in Breakthrough by Big Wreck. Best thing about these interviews is that these huge Rockstars actually come to Ola's place and its not just him chacing them around
This Dude is not only the best singer in rocknroll nowadays, but one of the greatest of all time.
Duuuude! This is so cool! The movie Rockstar literally changed my perspective on life lol. What a legend!
Miles is one of my favorite rock vocalist across his work. Blackbird one of my most listened to records of all time.
People probably won't believe me but I went to school with Myles and have known him since he was about 14 and he has not changed one iota, he doesn't even look that different lol
I believe you! Spokane represent.
Shiiiiiiiii....this is great, they're all my favourite, Myles and Ola🔥🔥
Myles is a GEM of a human!

Myles seems to ALWAYS be in a good mood. He is always smiling and just puts out such a pleasant vibe!
Nice shoutout to Metal Method. Doug Marks \m/. Myles is a fantastic musician.
Let’s go Ola!
Awesome interview, Myles has inspired me to push myself to grow as a vocalist. He maybe doesn't know, but he's a good vocal teacher ! 😅
I was fortunate enough to catch a concert last summer where Alter Bridge closed out for Sevendust. It was an amazing show.
Sounds like Sevendust opened for AlterBridge🤣💪
@RB-oc7ti that's fine by me, I love both bands. On the tour they switched back and forth with who closed the show.
Great way to start the work day!🤘🏻
i dont even need to know what he's doing or who it's with, Myles just kills everything he touches. What a talent
Myles F’N Kennedy! Awesome 💪Thx!
Could you invite Teemu from Megadeth? it would be amazing :)
Well, Jari isn't too far off in Helsinki.
Myles is one of the most (if not THE most) talented vocalists of the last decade.
Awesome interview. 🔥🎸
Definitely in my Top-5 favorite vocalists of all time.
Rock star was such a great movie!
Myles is awesome and this coffee with Ola ROCKS!!!! So excited for the new record!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸😎😎
Myles it's the best voice in the last 20 years definitely, and really nice guy

This was so great Myles rules! Your guests are getting insane man. Get Hammett and Hetfield for a long interview.
Myles is incredible. Ive seen him 8 times in various guises, hes so talented and he's a ridiculously talented player
Dude! You got Myles on! That is super awesome. 2 of my favourite musicians in the same place chatting gear.
Great Interview Ola! I always was a little reticent about Alter Bridge and Miles singing. This Interview change my mind. Time to go back a give him a proper listen 😉

My god what a cool guy. I've been listening to AB since the beginning but I kinda never realized Mark was such a chill dude. Nice.
The Legend!
