Really fantastic to see 2 generations of really tasteful heavy style players like this! Nick gave a Marshall clinic at a small store I worked at when he had the Rabea hair, amazing player and total charismatic professional. Great to see he found a home a Sweetwater.
I've been playing for years and own a variety of several types of pedals. But the only thing that ever seems to stick is reverb, overdrive, chorus, and wah, and the first two I generally get from the amp. I use all very sparingly too. I used to kind of mock guys with tons of effect pedals. But now I realize there's an art to using effects to their full effect and have come to admire those who can add new dimensions and atmosphere tastefully with effect pedals.
Yeah, that's the thing I love about you, Bea. I've had a thing for really ballsy music with beautiful melodies at the core since the 80s, lots of Hüsker Dü and Helmet, that sorta thing. Your music is like the perfect embodiment of that idea for the 21st century, imo.
Sweetwater team, I think you guys should wait for the next time Rabea comes for a visit to Sweetwater HQ to take a look at his main pedalboard rather than a zoom chat. Would be WAY better in person and worth the wait!
Until seeing his OC-5 review, I had never heard of Rabea. Turns out he is a hell of a guitar player. His style and sounds are fantastic. Need to dive into his catalog. - Cheers
Cool. Rabea, I said hello to you as I was leaving Sweetwater when you were in town a few weeks ago. I left with a Friedman Noho 24. Always enjoy your work. Cheers
This guy’s real pedal board is nuts 😅 personally trying to simplify mine. I’m liking simpler pedals, just struggling to find time to get best out of more complicated stuff like Strymon Timeline etc…
The ironic part about this is that Bea is playing a Quad Cortex in Frogleap now, which is fits in an airline carry bag and has all these parts in it. He assembled this pedals and wood board to go overseas and demo the new amp from his amp endorsement company, and he says he'd more likely have a Strat with a board like this. It's a shame his signature guitar and signature amp aren't carried at the same store. Because this isn't Bea's rig at all, and it wasn't needed to suit the purpose he said he made it for.
Kudos man!You deserve to be sitting there with Nick Blowout.Youve really grown as an amazing guitarist over the years, so kudos to you man! I, however remember when you were still "Bea", and you were the lead guitarist for "Dorje", right before you started demoing stuff for Andertons, Send me something signed, I'm a huge fan!??
It's kinda extrange. I'm not a native English speaker. I'm from a Madrid, Spain, and I'm more made to American English accent than to British English. But I understood perfectly Rabea, and the fellow from Sweetwater, that supposed to live in the USA, sounded more British English to me. Am I wrong or what's going on?
I would say that Rabea speaks naturally more clearly than Nick (that's just a personal difference). But Rabea also has a more northern English accent, whereas Nick sounds more southern: this regional difference does not necessarily explain any difference in clarity in this case. Espero que esto ayude! -un inglès
hey guys it's rabea and i've replied to comments before that i'm not a youtube guitar salesman but here's my pedalboard please use my affilaite links cheers -rabea
Pedal power! Join us for a deep dive into Rabea Massad's pedalboard. Which pedal do you think has the nicest tones? 🤔
"Brutality and Beauty": a perfect way to describe Rabea's music. Awesome 👍
Rabea is one of the most interesting guitarists I've ever heard.
LOL!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
seriously ?
@@rosettag7292 It HAS to be a sarcastic comment. It just has to be.

Amazingly fluid in his touch. But the thing I live is how sincere and down to earth he is. A genuine warm and kind soul.
One of favorite guitarist from day one.! And can skate well too...Playa! Cheers from Newport Beach 🤙🏿✌🏿
I know it’s not Bea’s main rig, but he still makes that thing sound so so sweet. Amazing guitarist. Enjoyed the video! Thanks for this 🤗
Rabea’s ambient/feelie music is second to none, I could listen to it all day long.
It's cool Seeing Claudio Sanchez started his own RUclips and is sharing his favorite gear and Pedals with us! Awesome!!
Man the fretboard against that body finish on that Chapman at the end is making me drool, such beautiful woodgrain, and that burst...good choices
Rabea’s playing style is very inspiring. Wonderful ear! 👂
Rebea Massad dude, your one of my favorite players brother!!! 54 yo Alabamian !!! You've got friends in the South!!!!!!

2 fantastic guitarists right here. 🤘
Man, Rabea always has such tasty playing!

Where have you been? I’m not a big Utube fan but Rabea can play many styles. I prefer his funk, blues, rock. Not so much his very heavy metal stuff.
I *cannot believe* you guys had Bea at Sweetwater, and didn't have him do a clinic. Someone must pay for this outrage! ;-)
Awesome great music song. So sound great audio. Great lnterview great show
Rabea!!!!!! One of the best guitar players!!!
Hey. I love watching all those videos of him creating the sounds of bands on a expensive budget or a cheap budget. Awesome videos those are.
Everything he does is so lovely. Just adore him.
This is a good demonstration of how sometimes you only need a few pedals.
Great video - looking forward to the one with his big pedalboard.
RM..! BAD MAN INDEED! CHEERS FROM NEWPORT BEACH, CA. 🌊🤙🏿
Very nice fender sound rabea. amazing.
I know there is a SEVERE price difference between the two but I'm so used to Rabea's sound it was like coming home when he plugged his sig in :D
Sounds good Rabea❗👍👍👍

Well now he’s an Ernie Ball endorsed player. No more Chapman guitars for him anymore. And yep the quad cortex is great.
Rabea is the best !!

Rabea could make a Ukulele sound massive!!
sounds awesome as hell
Such a nice guy!
Weren't Feely and Lairy part of Wigan's midfield in the 70s?
Legend
Flippin Tables, great name for a band
Beatitull sounds, salu2 desde España ;)
Very cool, Rabea is a great player indeed.
Nick, was that hair of yours permed? 😁
I expected a quad cortex and that's it lol
Bea the Bomb!
i winder if the bender fuzz is affected by the buffer from the boss pedal.
Interviewer dude is the rocker great grandson of Mr Molesley from Downton Abbey
Any chance sweetwater will carry Chapman guitars?
Sadly didnt sound even remotely as good as Bea on his real rig, but good to see this brilliant player getting wider recognition all the same.
❤
The pants say it all!
BEA!!!!!
Sweetwater: What’s on your pedalboard?
Rabea: Oh, this isn’t my pedalboard.
Sweetwater: Can you eventually show us your pedalboard?
Rabea: Ok….????
…
Is that the 100 watt Super Kraken? Sounds so good. I've been thinking about getting a Victory amp
it is

Fellow "Brit"
1819? Did he mean 1980?
I think he meant when he was 18 or 19, he’s only 34 I think haha
"Sweet-watah". Why am I from Duluth and not from the United Kingdom?
Love Bea!! He's an amazing player & I am sooooo glad he has gotten out of the shadow of that insufferable Rob Chapman.
So what happened to his huge pedalboard filled with strymon!?
Did you even watch the video…? He literally explains it in the first 2 minutes lmao
The sounds of salesmen.
🤣 hair twins
He should have brought his real pedalboard
There's plenty of vids on that already tbh
Nope
Running out of stars, huh?
You not knowing his music doesn't make him less qualified for this
@@ileutur6863 "his music"............LOL!!!
Why is SweetWater not carrying Chapman guitars yet!? @sweetwater
