Nice video! I cant find where to plug in my ET-H4000 heater wire on a KL6600UL74B board. Old heater was spliced with leads, new heater has the clip
For jacuzzis that dont require a neutral, do they still require a ground fault circuit breaker with a neutral pigtail? If so, is the neutral pigtail still connected in the panel? Thanks!
What if you have 4 wire going for the pump with single phase red, black and greg plus the ground. How will you connect it
Do you have any videos wiring a spa builder pack on a dynasty tub?
Spa Man, thanks for your videos. What are your thoughts on bonding the Balboa controller pack to the pumps using non-insulated 8 guage wire. From what I've read it is not REQUIRED, but would it hurt to bond them to the controller using the grounding bus on the outside of the controller box? Thank you
That is the way it is done with almost all of the hot tubs I see.I would not myself go any smaller then #6 wire because that is the only size wire that I use. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
Thanks for your videos! We are getting a Master Spa 7.25 which calls for a 50 amp four wire. We are already set up with a 60 amp breaker on the main panel and a 60 amp GFI in the spa panel with all 6 ga wire. Is it total fine to run the new tub with this set up or should I replace the 60's for 50's to be totally safe? Thanks!
You can have more amps than needed
My electrician did not use a black wire what he did he used 2 red wires but inside spa pack he marked one of the wires with black tape but inside of gcf breaker box he did not mark one of the red wires in their so I don't know which one is black and which one is red. Does it matter?
Hi SpaMan.
My board blew on my old 2008 Vitaspa. Noit sure why, but It had a 3 wire 30 amp power supply line w/ 10 guage wire...I found a Spa control pack on ebay, but its a 4 wire 40 amp board. Is that something I can hook up to this without changing the line to a 4 wire or changing the breaker?? How do you hook up a 3 wire line (L1 L2 G) to a 4 Wire Spa board? What do you do with the Neutral connection for the board if you don't have a wire for it?
You have a ton of Red flag that just went off ..We do not want to confuse other viewers with a similar problem to your and then they blow up there hot tub..I would call the office and talk to Scott. You have a lot going on. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
How do you wire a grande from hot springs hot tub
If you have a three wire hot tub setup where does the neutral or white wire go? Isn’t the white or neutral wire required so that the GFCI works properly?
We did a video about how to wire up a 3 wire Hot Tub that will help You ...If you still not sure you can call the shop and talk to Scott Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
Will the balboa accommodate #4 wire? I bought a 20ft swimspa the hot tub requires 50amp and poolside requires 60amp. I ran # for the poolside .
No it will not the largest wire Ive been able to get in a Balboa pack was #6
@@spaman5440 awesome thanks . My swimspa company is pretty useless on wiring spec . I went off # 4 due to 60 amp load . Thanks again
do you have a website for parts, and would you be willing to help me figure out the parts I need to repair and update an older tub that came with the house I bought? By the way I'm in Alaska.
Sure we can Help you...Call the Arizona Hot Tub Factory and ask for Scott he will be able to help You. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
What if u have 4 wire to tub from main but only 3 wire whip but four wire h.t. can it still be connected
NO! ....If its a four wire Hot Tub you have to have all four wires to run it.. Two hot wires one neutral and one ground Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
Hey Spa man on my balboa the label is colored different than what is says on motherboard … which one should I follow ?
Well I followed the motherboard coding and that blew the gfi immediately so I guess it’s follow the label
show me how you connect one with #6 teck cable
Ive seen Teck cable cause problems with Hot Tubs and because of that I can not recommend using it for any type of Spa installation. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
I got an old hot tub. 3 wire. How do tell if it's 110 or 220?
If you go to the back side of the spa pack cover it will tell you If you are still having trouble you can call the shop and talk to Scott and he can help you figure it out. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
@@spaman5440 ok. It's 20 years old and the tag is faded and not readable.
@@stupidmonkey8859 I would call the shop and talk to Scott..Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
My cuestión is why #6 wire for 50 amps if #8 its for 50???? Its my cuestión
There is a little more to it then that.. You can call the office and talk to Scott and he can explain it to you...there is a reason behind why You don't use #8 Thanks for watching and SUBSCRIBING
Mr spa man under the nec code 40 -50 spa its # 8 and 60 # 6 3 wires i live on dallas . Its different to arizona or why #6 on 50 amps hot tube?
@@joels.7836I would like to thank you for sharing with me and others what the NEC code says..( You should go back and read it again)...Just because it meets code and might pass an inspection doesn't mean you will not have several problems with your hot tub..But what do I know ...
