  • In this video I will walk through the steps you need to take to configure a Balboa Spa Pack. Not all Spa Packs will work "out of the box" with the configuration that you need. In this video, I hope to de-mystify the steps needed to configure your Balboa Spa Pack.
    I walk through the DIP switch settings as well as how to set the program setting that you need on your Balboa spa pack to match the setup and kit you are using.

    Many thanks for this video. Had to replace my control kit and the setting when shipped only allowed high speed on pump 2. Between the manual and your video I changed it to the correct setting and now I'm 100% back in business.

    A query… I have a Balboa system with a TP600 top-side. Is it possible to ‘force’ a filter cycle ad-hoc’, or can this only be done by setting up and/or modifying the programmed filter cycle?
    Cheers, Jon.

      Hi John, pressing jets once and turning on your circulation pump is the same as a filter cycle. The default run time for this is 15 mins. A specific filter cycle can only be set and programmed as far as I know - hope this helps. Andi

    Thank you for the great video. One question I have is if you are changing your settings and you set dip switch one up, will it tell you which setting it is currently at or will it just start over.

      Hi Robert, thanks for the message. This sounds to me like the program setting that it shipped with does not match the kit that you have plugged into it. - have a read of this article on my site about selecting the correct setup mode - drop me an email if you are still stuck - buildahottub.com/hot-tub-wiring-explained/#Hot_Tub_Wiring_-_Configuring_a_Balboa_Spa_Pack

    We have a Sunrise spa model S-104, equip with a TP600 balboa board. Next to the temperature a « T » appears instead of the « F or C », which indicates we are in mode test. The Dip switchs are set as per Sunrise requirements. How do we remove the « T » for test mode?

    • @Buildahottub
      @Buildahottub  Год назад

      Hi There, you must have DIP Switch 1 in the ON position, it needs to be OFF - that is the only way to get into the test mode. Hope that helps - Andi

    Hi. I have a Bullfrog RL spa. I replaced the spa pack BFBP20 which is a Balboa. How do I configure this for 2-2 speed bumps with circulation pump? The Bullfrog controller is is different from Balboa. Thank you. TJ

      Hi TJ, you should have on the inside of the spa pack a configuration table - if you want to send me some pics of the topside and also that circuit diagram to andi (a.t) buildahottub.com I will take a look for you and advise - thanks Andi

    • @Buildahottub
      @Buildahottub  Год назад

      Hi Mark, I am not aware of the TP600 being BT compatible - you must have another accessory like speakers or a radio that are and they will have the bluetooth module in it that you will need to pair with - there are no options on the TP600 for BT. Hope that helps - Andi

    I have a BP7 with TP600 I have also configured mine to 13 setup as well . I just have a 2 speed pump for the jets and a single speed pump for recirculation and heater. I have it set to run on 220volt . I hooked it up filled tub but my circulation pump will not come on I can hear the relay clicking but no circulation can you help thanks

    • @Buildahottub
      @Buildahottub  3 месяца назад

      Setup #13 is a circulation pump (plugged into J21) a 2 speed Jet Pump (J9) and a 1 speed jet pump (Expander Board) - also check the voltage that you need for your circulation pump. If it is 115V, J20 needs to go to group 2, if it is 240V then it needs to go to group 4 - Also, check the F7 fuse to make sure it has not blower - hope that helps - Andi

    • @Buildahottub
      @Buildahottub  Месяц назад

      Hi There, sorry about late reply - I would disconnect everything and then turn on the panel. Let it give you lots of errors, then turn off, reconnect and then turn back on - this usually forces a reset. Hope that helps - Andi

    Hello, I have a balboa gs510sz and now it is programmed to keep the circulation pump running for 24h. Can I turn it off with the dip switches? Thanks

    • @Buildahottub
      @Buildahottub  4 месяца назад

      Hi There, that model only has 24 hour cirulcation. If you turn off DIP9, you then have no circulation pump at all - so unfortunately, it is on 24/7 or off and you will not be able to heat your tub. If you are looking to update, the BP7 is a good model to move to and not too expensive.

      @@Buildahottub Hello thanks for the quick response. I might still try to put a timer between the controller and the circulation pump. And programming it so that the pump comes on when the filter cycle and heating starts. Because now the biggest consumption I have on my Jacuzzi is the circulation pump running 24/7.

    Hi Andy wonder if you con help with a little advice, i have a Grand Canyon spa, 3 Ha440 pumps Blower and ozone, went out of comision 2 years ago, recently i purchased a Balboa BP8 control pack with top side spa touch mini, all went well with set up and install had to change all the spa pump plugs etc for amp plugs, anyway after restarting PUMP 1 a 2 Speed started at 1st speed, tried to start 2nd speed and it tripped the house breaker, and then would not start at all, Pump 2 single speed dead nothing, pump 3 working perfectly blower working, i examined the pumps and decided i would also replace for new, i installed the new pumps, but got exactly the same result, if i plug pump 2 into pump 3 socket it works so i'm pretty sure its not the pumps.

    • @Buildahottub
      @Buildahottub  11 дней назад

      Hi Tony, i'll be doing a series of videos on the BP8 system soon as Balboa have actually just sent me a unit for my channel. You should be set to Spa Pack to Program #7. If you have not done this it could be the root of your problem. DIP1 up and then you can go into the settings menu on the Spa Touch mini. Check what connectons you have things plugged into - Pump 1 (2 speed) into J9, Pump 2 J14 - pump3 and blower into Expander Board. - hope that helps - Andi
