FYI - the grounds (both ground in and pump grounds) do not need to go in the box. They are all supposed to be outside the box which is why the ground bar is on the outside of the box. That way they don't have a chance of randomly touching stuff and shorting to ground if they move around in the box (like whenever the heater is replaced).

This video is fantastic. Best video on how to install. Unfortunately we are still having problems with the pump. It only works on low speed and the pump cuts out after 15 mins. The high speed won’t kick in. We get the “run, pumps, purge, air” message which is standard. Then we press jets and the low speed turns on. Should b3 able to press jets again and get high speed but nothing. After a period of time we get “ sensor balance “ message and “ heater flow loss”.

Did you get it to work? We are located in Yacolt Washington. We have a fantastic back yard with total privacy in the forest. The neighbor lady used to love coming over to go hot tubbing naked with my son and I. Unbelievable. She ended up being a little crazy and wouldn’t leave. I have to add that part of the story. I had another woman have a nervous breakdown and visit me. She tore up money and credit cards and threw her top on the roof. I knew my mom was going to show up because of Murphy’s Law. 10 minutes later she drove up my driveway and I had the woman hide in the closet below my stairs. My mom said “who’s car is that?” “Why is the money and credit cards torn up?” “Who’s bra is that on your roof?” “Just trust me and leave mom! I’ll tell you later!” I finally got the topless woman to leave and her kids called and said she was having a nervous breakdown and wondered if she had showed up. She ended up at the hospital and got the medication she needed and we are still friends. She laughs about it. Sorry about the stories but I have to tell someone. Good luck with your spa. You probably have it fixed by now.

lights are 12volts and you should have gotten a light harness with your pack. If so, just cut the old light wire (whte and black) and cut the ends of your new light harness (white and black). Twist the colors together and tape them up. Plug it in and bam, they will work.

What I did, before I saw your response, my lights use the same plug, so I just plugged them into the light socket on the board. I'm assuming.... change that... I'm PREsuming that the AV socket is audio/video, so I moved the white wire to have 120v there, and plugged that into the power supply for the radio into that socket. Great video. My only suggestion is I believe you must use a green insulated THHN (stranded) ground wire inside of Leak-Tite Conduit between circuit breaker and Spa Pack, and not a solid core ground wire. This is because the leak tite conduit is flexible and was designed only for stranded cable and not solid wire. Solid wire can break when flexed.

I ordered a new Balboa controller with heater and I’m excited to have a tub that we won’t have to take turns jumping out of to reset the heater. Some spa packs from the US and other countries do not use a neutral wire (white wire) coming from the house to the spa pack. Meaning: just has a red, black and a ground. Most times you'll see a blue wire capped off and not used. But if you have a red, black, white and ground coming from the house you don't have to worry about that or change anything. That was a great question. Thanks.
