Here here
You clearly don't watch ryan reynolds's videos
@@kirin6978 oh i do
JDCR is really well spoken, really glad we have him as part of the Tekken community.
Jokes on you JDCR i play with my keybord.
And I'm thankful for it, to be honest. If I ever gonna buy a stick, I basically just want a box with keyboard switches. lol
HAHAHA. Nice one gold ole 90s style. player 1 on the let side, player 2 on the num pad
Wavedashing on keyboard is hectic as hell compared to a fight stick
@@TheErenYeagerChannel true that good sir. Esp when u have blue switches jesus christ it's heavy af
@@FahmiZFX it's called mixbox
1 question why is tekken on yt so unpopular? I'm so disappointed that so many people doesn't appreciate this actual sexy game.
I think it’s because the community is rather small, or people don’t care as much as the hardcore players who are making content. As myself I tried getting into tekken starting at 7. It’s very overwhelming considering the entire cast and learning a biography of moves for each character. Most of the hardcore players have been playing since tekken 1-4 so they already know most of the cast’s moves list
@@KaptnKramer Who told you that you need to learn every move in the game? No one's gonna sit there and memorize every move in the game lmao and pro players don't do that ether. What you actually need is knowledge of your character (combos, frames, oki etc.) and matchup knowledge that will grow as more you play the game (knowing the strongest/most used moves of the character you are facing).
You don't get good at fighting games by reading about them you get good by playing them and figuring stuff out, as simple as that.
@@KaptnKramer There are universal tools. 1,2 df1 uf4 and d4 are examples. You don't need to memorize the cast's moveset. The input can be determined by the animation, of course this isn't easyif you're new but it's something you'll learn through time.
been a niche since PlayStation 1 days. most of the hardcore fan are PS1 days kiddoes like us.
@@qwerty6789x most hardcore fans are arcade teens, not ps1 kids. Most pros were exposed to arcade scene because thats where you can play tekken seriously back then, just like any fighting game
Need more fight pad choices with better designed d-pads.
Tbh I like how the DS4 is built, but i like the xbox one dpad. I want a d pad that's like clicky on the d pad and buttons, idk which one is like that and i hope one releases to thos type of structure
From all the nacon pro controllers, which I paid a lot, the d pads are trash, but the only that is worth your while is the HORI fighting commander,. Its a bit expensive, but so are the nacon pro controllers.
DS4 is a great standard but the important part is a MATTE finish d-pad. Not a gloss one. It really helps with execution.
@@dogtaro5729 the Xbox controller is horrible for Tekken lol
@@sunnymane it's why I said I prefer the design of the DS4 controller, it's what I currently use. However the dpad on the xbox one controller is clicky and I like that too which I wish the DS4 or a similar type of controller had
Mishima Dojo track playing in the background. Excellent choice 👌🏻
very excellent thoughts about the pad, or sticks, including it's properties, hoping to do Mixbox review that would be completed up the 4 equipments that was featured
I actually disagree to an extent about diagonals being better on Pad, at least specifically PS4 pad. The PS3/2 was better when the pad wasn't that big like PS4s. I swear there's times on holding DB on 2D Fighters and it just actually has me crouch without guarding.
Agreed this happens way too often and i often lose because of it
@@shmiksisrymtai Glad I wasn't the only one buggin' lol
i agree with you, akuma is almost unplayable with a PS4 controller
the ps4 dpad is really stiff somehow. even just basic things like iads don't come out nearly as naturally. ds3's pad was way better imo but holy shit it was torture for your hands
I would've 100 percent agreed with you about a month ago, however as of late learning to be patient with the controller I'm not missclicking anymore. I think you've gotta find that sweetspot between speed and consistency. It's definitely there in terms of accuracy.
It’s really cool when pro makes such an interesting videos especially about gamepads ty so much
Mixbox wasnt included, was waiting for his comments about the mixbox.
Overall, he mentioned what are to consider, especially when buying a stick like the layout. Bought mine without looking that up, now i play Tekken with buttons mapped for R and L keys.
Without a doubt, etokki is one of the best sticks you can buy without building a custom stick. It comes with sanwa buttons and an myounshin fanta lever out of the box. I've been using them for about 5 years now. I recommend them over any other brand. The only problem I have with them is that the bottom doesnt come with any anti-slip stuff, so you need to buy some adhesive foam from a craft store.
Does the bottom of the stick slip off from your thighs often when playing?
@@Resolute.j no not at all in my experience, the thing is heavy as a hell so it's very stable.
@@Section8dc Thanks for the response! Been thinking about getting the etokki stick with the korean lever.
@@Resolute.j its my favorite stick lol!
I have the Etokki Omni Sanwa Edition and I love it to death! It is the arcade stick equivalent of a bulletproof, military-grade car.
Loving the guide so far. JDCR your Heihachi is iconic!
Thank you for English subtitled you brought. I really grateful👍🏼💥
Hi JDCR, nice guide. A fan of Takken. Really liked your last match with Lowhigh. You seemed like a different person in that game. Keep up the good work.
Fun fact: the Qanba Drone used to be known as the Qanba N1.
I like the drone personally. Very light and comfy. My other larger one is very heavy and gets uncomfortable pretty rapidly.
Hi JDCR, I’m visiting your country by next month. Can you recommend a physical game store where i can buy arcade fight stick? I’m just a casual gamer and playing PS4/PS5 games. Thanks 🙏
Great content 👍 I own etokki Korean stick and the razor panthera with mod golden lever :) but I do like Japan sticks too.
As long as a stick has the Namco Noir layout and Sanwa parts, it's all good to me. I personaly play T7 on my computer and use a Mad Catz X360 Soul Caliur V stick.
ewww sanwa
Will always watch your commercials, sir. Much love from the US
I never used a stick, but I might consider getting one some time. I use a pad mainly for when I want to do iSW or iWR moves. Analog sticks I use for basic movements and wavedashing, but the directional pads I felt comfortable when doing iSW/iWR because it really feels a lot more precise like you said.
How can you not like Jdcr, he seems so pure. I love your videos Jdcr
The bloopers though 🤣
Great
All these sticks are pretty much the same except the crossup has extra buttons which can give you faster and more accurate inputs and the etokki is metal so it weighs a lot it also has a korean lever which is something else to consider, Anyone would be happy with any one of those sticks but we have a budget to consider not everyone gets free sticks. If you are buying your first stick and you want something cheap and reliable i recommend the venom arcade, mayflash 500, quanba drone or Hori rap4. If you have a bigger budget then you can get something like a Razer panthera evo, Hori fighting edge, vitrix pro or Quanba obsidian there's a lot more. At the end of the day you are mainly paying for the overpriced housing of the stick it really doesn't matter you can swap parts on everything if you feel like a change. Overall i found this video pretty lackluster compared to others on yt jdcr advice is basically stating the obvious but if you have a budget to consider then you wont find it very useful no button advice either, Ive had my venom arcade for a year ive used other sticks but i prefer this even tho it was only £40 on amazon and ive put seimitsu buttons in, the stick is just the cheap stock one but you can still wavedash like a nutter easy, and sony have confirmed that official playstation sticks (venom arcade) will work on the ps5 so thats an added bonus hope this helps
I hope that the ps5 pad would be good for tekken considering I don't have a stick and probably won't buy one. I feel that the ps4 pad is great, but the ps5 controller looks a little bulkier and the dpad is placed a little higher than where my thumb would usually be. I wonder if that'll affect my execution with mishimas
Obviously this video wasn't for you and instead of overly criticizing a video, that will be helpful to some, how about you go make your own in-depth video on the plethora of sticks out there.
wait, why is my comment a reply to this comment lol. I thought I wrote a separate comment
@@jamessummers5936 Obviously my comment wasn't made for you, I hardly criticized it i was just adding some things that may help someone who actually wanted to know more, i was expecting more info from jdcr maybe its a language barrier but seeing as he has so much experience and so many sticks he could have given better information. I dont need to make a video there are already plenty out there, you sound really salty maybe you should make a video about the plethora of comments and opinions on you tube because i really couldn't give a rats ass what you think
@@mandarinduck5507 You apparently give more than a rat's ass, since you responded. Either way I said what I said. 🤷♂️
At least I have a Hori Rap N which is comfy for me, I only change the pcb, buttons and lever. Actually it’s the lever that took time for trial and errors. I went from Crown309mj, Alpha49s and now I think I’m settled with the golden fanta mod with Panasonic switches. It’s actually fun modding it to your preference.
atleast he admitted that the cross-up he uses is a cheat but I still respect him since he still get perfect electrics before getting that cross-up
it isn't tho
@@M4TTYN you get extra directional buttons which means inputs on movement becomes easier like for example the korean backdash can be easily done by holding back on the left side and pressing forward forward down forward on the right side
@@M4TTYN and a guy that played tekken for the first time did 25 electrics in a row using that stick
there is a difference between being cheap and cheating. whether it is a cheat or not is up to tournament organizers and video game manufactures (if its' even possible to enforce restrictions there). If they allow it, they made it so it's not cheating.
@@draikmage I have been playing mishimas for a long time and there are people who played them longer like mainmanswe for example. We spent thousands of hours to get consistent with electrics, wavedash and kbd. So you are saying that all of that are just a waste because rn you can use this shit. It’s almost like they are holding back but they are so close to macro.
Your videos are awesome.
Love and Respect from India💖🇮🇳
"My answer to the question about whether to buy a pad or stick, just don't pick keyboard"
I still use a ps3, have to hold it diagonally to get precise inputs
helpful videos
even though, i can only afford the ps4 pad replica
Keyboard for life
😷
That Etokki stick look so good !
It's the best stick money can buy if you want to give a try to a Korean stick. I use it from 6 months now and I love it
Would've been cool to see a Hitbox in this video!
You mean a stickless arcade stick
@@bilbobaggins7075 I do! Just so used to Hitboxes
designated key chargiiii button is a must!
Amazing Subtitles... Thank you ❤️

Cool video, but it would've been even better if you stressed the differences between the controllers more. Also, it might be helpful to tell a bit about different models of levers/lever tops/buttons.
Keep up the good work ;)
That's like an hour video recorded over probably 3+ hours of footage. There's so many levers these days, it's hard to even find time to test them all properly.
@@Cumfortable you're absolutely right about it, an in depth video on this topic would be really long. I meant highlighting only fundamental differences, like gate shape for levers.
you can look at the lever product pages for more detail on them to many no doubt did videos on various buttons HurtBox TV has to many others im sure.
the sticks shown prob only got a slight difference being the lever's to the ettoki fight stick having a korean lever again you can find about them and the parts on their product pages
and your better off buying the main part the board arcadeshock.com/collections/brook then can go wild with your own case or a slew of many sold from various sites

yokes on you, im playing with keyboard
Playstation controllers are by far my best but I've never had an arcade stick. I can only master a few tekken characters. Lars and Lee/Violet being 2 of my best. Because the side to side motion isn't that complicated.
I'm still playing tekken against computer with my 3 dollars controller
Now I'm feeling really poor
Shoutouts to Ps2 dualshock controller players! in 2020
ps3 original sixaxis (lightweight because no rumble) currently for me. if you find a good cable for it that doesnt fall out it is a really fast controller. ds2 doesnt have this problem so that's cool. ps4 pad is heavy and the digipad is bigger, but directional input on the older ones is just faster.
Im def getting the crossup hitbox xD
Its gonna be expensive as hell
@@matejstemberk8110 isn't like 2500, - NOK?
i always imagine breaking the analog stick
Yeah don’t get one 💥😂
The Bottom Of this Video IS Do Yo Need An Arcade STICK? BY MAXIMILLION DOOD
“It’s the size of the stick width.”
So for JDCR size matters.
Nice vid! :) Do you prefer ball top or bat top?
keep up the great wokrk
I always feel like iWR 2's for say Dragunow are easier on stick than pad.
I highly agreed. I'm just comparing and doing it two days ago. With Drag n Claudio. Using both arcade stick n game pad.
I play on keyboard, can get electric 99%of the time, but have big problems with certain inputs like 3 button ones or half-circle movements
Yea cause keyboard is piss easy
@@quekZo95 I disagree it depends on what you are doing, doing things like full circle inputs are hard to do consistently. I play on stick and hitbox and I dont find hitbox to be any easier, they both have there strengths and weaknesses.
@@Section8dc will to do half circles you can just press right and then qcb to get a half circle input
@@omarallama934 I know and that is actually a good tip that a lot of people don't know about!
Yes give NYCR more redbull money!

JDCR: *holds pad*
Also JDCR: *remembers that King player that destroyed him with a pad*
*american flashbacks*
Dont forget Mixbox! And if you do not wanna drop the money on a mixbox but have an arcade stick, you can buy an Odin from OmniArcade's etsy shop. I have one and I really recommend it. It's only $50. But i wish the crossup got released in April because more people need to be able to get their hands on it. It is a pretty crazy stick.
diagonals were good on old sega pads but not anything else
Mixbox and hitbox are superior sticks because inputs are much easier and cleaner. Quarter circle motions and kbd are much crisper
Keyboard ?
The best. I have 17 buttons set. Works wonders.
Is for scrubs
Keyboard Master Race😶
Nice joke. Scrubs use that
I used a Guitar Hero controller
Keyboard all the way !
😷
You can play on anything if you know how to win.
About pads: Has anyone in here tried the Logitech F310 or F710? Some people say it is amazing for fighting games, even if takes a little getting used to. I'm considering buying one. Can someone give me some insight, or point out better pads?
F710 is good for diagonal
How I can purchase etokki stick? The shipment is really expensive. It’s my dream learning to play on etokki.
P.S. I am DS4 user
It's expensive but godlike that stick. Keep your money, when you can afford it get it bro
Nice
Red bull Jdcr...
do people use left stick or d pad for semi circle and quarter circles etc.
Dpad for fighting and platform games(you have more precision here when the plane is 2D.)
Left stick for the 3D games
Heres hoping the ps4 has a nice DPad
what shape gate do you prefer?
i can't find golden lever of original Omni on etokki. is it golden lever or golden fanta form Asindo ?
from asindo
@@Fanatic.....1 thanks man
Whatever you do, don't buy an Xbox one controller. The d-pad gets fucked very easily especially if you play Mishima characters.
How about mix box
Any Joypad suggestion? for PC?
Pad or Stick?
Keyboard
Where's the keyboard JDCR?
Mixbox and Keyboard users keepin quiet
So shallow didn't even cover mix box
so keyboard is not tournament legal, huh :c

Reviewing mixbox ? You mean reviewing keyboard ... :)
jdcr sorry but you forgot to mention the mix box.. idk if that would be for an advanced lesson for tekken but uh yeah just thought id ask if your gonna do a complete different video on the hit box and mix box... anyways good to see yo bro ... good luck on your games today and hope to see you in a game and to match up against you one day... cheers... dahmni

the real question is when in controller, joystick or arrows?
joystick Vs wasd or arrows (same thing) is a preference try you can be good with both
99 percent of people play with the d pad
will you please tell me the price of both etokki and cross ups because i want to buy.
Etokki is £300 plus shipping, hitbox is £200 plus shipping
The white gold Omni (like what JDCR has in the video) is more expensive than the normal one but is just cosmetically different.
Base etokki is $200usd and comes with and myoungshin fanta lever. With the arcade stick Indonesia golden lever it's over $300usd. To get it shipped to the US is about $60usd. I've been using Etokki sticks now for about 5 years and can say they are one of the best on the market and my stick of choice. I've also been playing stick for over 20 years and still, etokki and custom boxes I've made myself are the only ones I'll use.
@@YOSHI_MEAT_SOUP hey man I want to get a base Etokki Omni Korean Edition. I come from a Qanba Drone modded with sanwa JLF. Someone told me that diagonals are harder in Korean sticks cause they have a circular gate, plus especially in a Myoungshin fanta lever diagonals are harder to hit... Is that true?
@@shiki494 yeah coming from a Japanese shifted to Korean, you gotta practice to get use to it. Also consider the tension but it varies.

If you yourself consider CrossUp as "cheating", then why are you advertising it in your videos and basically promoting it? I really hope Bamco releases a patch so that 2 directional inputs are no longer usable in matches.
Bro, shut up.
Maybe he promotes it because he values the money he gets from the sponsor more then his honor/morals.
They won't do that, doubled directional inputs exist on both keyboard and ps4 controller as well. It is irrelevant.
@@benjimack7681 I don't understand why I have to explain why the cross up is straight up cheating and how it is different then the keyboard and controllers so just go watch TMM video "Apparently It's Okay To Cheat In The FGC Now" if you really don't understand.
@@benjimack7681 double directional inputs "existing" does not mean they should be "allowed". Point is, Bamco can easily patch it out by letting you chose to play using only one directional input, since that's how the game was meant to play.
Poor jdcr making his own stupid videos unlike knee who has a real production. Lol
