You should. I put in a 4lb tension spring, brushed aluminum balltop and silenced 30mm Sanwa buttons. My stick feels wonderful, and it no longer wakes up my family. 😂
>expectation: some talk about the effect of controllers and how it fits to one's preferences >what I got: five minutes on making your own ideal stick No disappointment there. I don't get anything about PCBs but I just love them for some reason.
@@will__mem9rno They're pretty much exactly the same as blues except they have a heavier actuation force. You can see all the differences between colors on cherry mx's website
this is the most riveting 4 1/2 minute video ive ever seen, holy shit. i was def expecting to enjoy it but i didnt know id be so enthralled; every 20 seconds is a new golden piece of fgc history goodness me
Once again Core A come out with a video that is simply better than any other video about a particular topic. I had literally no idea there was a his much customization available.
I'm not much of a fighting game fanatic but I love your videos. There is a lot of dense material to get through but I can tell that you are really passionate about it. Thank you.
CoreA Film is something I would subscribe to in an instant! I feel like those who are already into your analytical videos are probably interested enough in your style of analysis and presentation to appreciate films getting the same treatment. Looking forward to it in ten years!!!!!
To the point, concise and no padding. I not only enjoyed the content of the video but also its editing. As another commenter my stick made of plywood. But it’s tailored for shooting games. So it has a jlf with a much shorter throw.
I made my own stick when I was about 16, nearly 14 years ago. Followed all the instructions on Slagcoin. It was Just a simple box made out of Mdf wood with plexiglass. For the pcb I used a madcatz arcade games tick for the 360. I was so proud of it as a kid, even though my soldering was crap. It's good to see there's so much more resources and community. I can't believe you don't need to solder anymore, as I did such a shit job of it lol. Im going to try and get back into it and try doing it as a craft :)
FYI, you can also buy the Omni with Sanwa parts and the Brook Universal Fighting Board pre-installed, or whatever configuration you want between Korean, Sanwa, default, or UFB.
I could make a video about my GameCube controller, but it wouldn’t really be the same. It’s amazing how much variety and history these stick controllers have. Great video!
I LOVE how whenever I see a core-A video I'm 100% sure than even with a title like "the controller I use" I'll get some universal knowledge out of it. I'm always curious about what I'll learn next
I just love it when marketing people describe acrylic as 'bullet proof'.... I wonder how confident they would be of that claim if I handed them a sheet to stand behind whilst loading up a rifle.... On a more positive note, another awesome fight stick made with a metal case is the GCOM ArcadeStick, I've been using it for just a few weeks but Lovit.
Really awesome he showed Jang iksu in this video talking about the Taeyoung Jang's technical skill with Mishima's from tekken 3 to TTT1 2000 - 2001 was the best back then No 1 else had an ewgf or lightdash like Jangs I have some old tekken 3 korean vids of Jang iksu playing before TTT1 was even released and Ryan hart has a tape from fantasia of Jang iksu getting 40 wins in december 1999 . Jang was on the 2p side and his 2p lightdashing during those 40 wins even to this day was just fucking insane . That was on the Taeyoung stick The tape ryan hart has is pretty shit though , his friend went to fantasia korea in 2001 and got the tape . His friend borrowed me the original vhs tape in 2003 and the quality was much better then ryans
I recently got myself the Mayflash 500 as my first stick. When I get more used to stick, customizing it will be no real issue. Now I just need to get some artwork for it
I'm a Happ/IL user but I love watching videos of what people like to use for games. I like Sanwa joysticks too but not as much as Happ/IL. Great video!
My dad likes korean sticks (despite living completely in the US and Japan) but I like japanese. We both main guile. He still kicks my ass everytime lmao.
I have the omni - Korean version. I replaced the lever with the Crown Help Me Lever. Incredible stick , perfect size , keeps your lap cool as well. Put some custom one piece art on it to , looks incredible!
Awesome video! Always bringing quality content. I have a Razer Panthera for SFV, but I’m considering getting a custom stick with a Korean lever for Tekken to see the difference. Gotta love the airport track! Tekken 4 may not be the best gameplay wise, but it has the best stage music of the series hands down.
The mousepad idea is really good. I have a piece of skateboard grip tape on the back of one of my old sticks, but it wears on your pants so I stopped doing it. Might have to try a mousepad instead.
I would install a sanwa JLF lever with either a ball-top or a bat-top on it, an eight-way restrictor plate and hayabusa buttons into the etokki arcade stick controller.
The stick i use is made of wood, has some shiny plastic wrap, and a Venom, from Guilty Gear art on it. Samwa buttons, a old school, sturdy brazilian stick, custom microswitches, and board. I made my son´s the same way, but fancier, and, since he loves Juri from SFV, I kinda copied Gerald stick art...
@Core-A Gaming can you please do a video on how and where to get replacement parts and silicon for the Hori fight commander 4 pad and regular fight commander??? PLEASE
USB type B is used in most fightsticks with detachable cables because the connection is stronger than type C or micro A. It is less prone to accidental detachment that you don't want when you're in a tournament setting.
Nice stick, bro. I use a Qanba Obsidian GG Xrd edition with a pink Phreakmod Link and a Korean style pink battop. Actually i rarely use it because its looks too nice and usually just use a Qanba drone with Sanwa buttons and JLF with a battop.
I have a Hori Rap. I actually find it beautiful and the lever is perfect for wineglass (Japanese lever) so I can't ask for something better. But this video made look at customizables as an option for the future. One day maybe...
The takeaway of this: Get yourself a girl who'll get you a CLEAN lookin' white and gold fightstick for a wedding gift.
Well I make atleast a custom for every character a white n gold skin it's too clean
Don't you mean blue and black? Kappa
@@Lipidman0 oh gosh
meleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee🐸
You know it's true love then.
The stick I use is made of wood
and can also be multi-purpose to use as self-defense weapon or to play fetch with a dog
Or a weapon to use when u lose
I repurposed a cigar box to make mine. The absolute ONLY way to make a stick using Happ/IL parts.
"Who said button mashing doesn't work"
Um... You did
made a whole video about it lol
It doesnt work *all the time*
The best mixup is the one even you don't know the outcome of ;)
The guy who made 2 whole 15-minute videos: years of academy training wasted!
Probably a joke on purpose
@@Rex-golf_player810 i know but yknow
gotta let the people know that mashing raw super on wakeup ALWAYS works
god this video was so satisfying. makes me wanna customize my own stick.
I finished my custom a month ago. Do it. Really fun experience.
👀
😏
Do it, its easy. At the very least put your own spin with a different ball or bat top and buttons.

No disappointment there. I don't get anything about PCBs but I just love them for some reason.
HE DID IT AGAIN AUGH
Oh hey he has a vid on that first one actually
PCBs are really the simplest thing to understand. Especially compared to padhacking. Tried that a couple times. Got it working once, but that was it.
What does PCB stand for?
"I'm werid because I use blues, the loudest and clickiest switches."
*laughs in mx green*
Out of curiosity, what is different about mx green (I'm not very familiar with controller customization so pls don't roast me lol)?
William Memelli actually, I’m curious either

Even if I never pick up a stick, I’d still plan-out how to build one because my mind races with creativity at this hour.
I love Alex Nostalgix. His production quality is great and it's nice to see someone go in depth with Korean sticks.
I love that he not only explains what stick he uses but also history and facts. He's just too cool.
