- A moving company crew dumped a truckload of furniture and appliances on Los Angeles' blighted Skid Row overnight, giving the items away to anyone who could carry them. KTLA's Rachel Menitoff reports. July 3, 2024.

@@OldJoeBlowsIf upperclass people like yourself continue to ignore and act oblivious to the homeless by neglect and not meeting thier needs medical and financial support helping them get back on their feet and back into society then yes they should live where ever they choose, people like you and politicians only care about your own personal space and comfort and you only view homelessness as a problem when they block your mental view of your perfect world
@@OldJoeBlowsand I know dozens of ex homeless people that actually did get the help they needed and got back in their feet to a middle class status and some to upper class citizen but they only made it back to society because at least one person didn't turn a blind eye

you pay up front for it most companies take a deposit for the drive you pay the rest for them to take it in your home.

It’s not like they’re choosing the specific items to donate. They just pulled up and let them take all the stuff off the truck. not everything is a conspiracy theory, man. The homeless are going to try to get some metal out of that refrigerator and sell it.

the biggest news story is how can the city allow something like skid row to exist.
Because a lot of people are financially benefiting the longer people are homeless and the more people become homeless.
The affordable housing complex industry is manipulating our society so that there is a huge demand for state-sponsored, taxpayer funded housing.
Nonprofits, partners, and government agencies not only benefit from high salaries and retirements but act as a hub for profitable vendors in the homeless services industry.
Skid Row has been around for decades though, through both Democratic and Republican leadership in the city. It’s just a thing and always will be

@ 1:11 the Owners requested for their items to be Donated and apparently per the Movers Discretion.
A thrift store wouldn't take a single one of these items. Especially a used mattress. This is just someone who didn't want to pay the 500 bucks at the dump.

It's not well intentioned, they are just saving themselves a trip to the dump.
Moving company hit the customers with a surprise 10k fee for an extrotion fee on top of the 3k they already paid, moving companies are not paid to donate an entire truckload.
I like that people donate directly because by the time it goes through all these agencies very little of it makes it to the street.
I think this was extremely humane to do so those people could find at least a tiny smidgen amount of comfort within their living on survival level 365 days a year.
They live with hate by the public as profitable organizations create this situation!
It appears this was at the location of the union rescue mission. This just created a nuisance and more blight for them. It appears that their building is very tidy and they are trying to keep the area nice. They don’t deserve this. It was also very rude and undignified. This was not a donation, it was purely a dump. The City Attorney needs to prosecute the moving company.
