Increasing jail terms has never been shown to reduce the rate of violent crime in our streets. Attacking the D.A. is going after the wrong target.

I'm in the Seattle Area and I overheard two Somali immigrants talking about returning to Mogadishu for a safer environment, better standard of living, more law and order, and greater economic opportunity with less poverty all around.

There aren’t many homeless encampments in Santa Monica, these crime problems are being trucked in from other areas of town. This is a county problem, a state problem, a national problem.
I left there years ago and remember quite mentally ill homeless people walking up and down the streets screaming at the sky. You could also see them passed out in parks (that no families could use) and enjoy the presents they left in stairwells of buildings or parking garages. Seems like the city council is doing an outstanding job to address the problem and make the city safe for residents and tourists.
