As a die-hard 4Runner Guy: hype. I'm hoping for something smaller than the LC250, and a smaller body than the current 4Runner. I own a 2023. Hopefully they don't pull a Mazda CX-70 and just make the new 4Runner nothing but a decontented LC250 without the hybrid.
We are in a cutting costs era. I wouldnt be surprised
I don’t know why they even want to sell the LC250 here. Unless the butcher the new one, the 4Runner as of now is so good that it makes the LC250 pointless in America imo.
I don’t see Toyota doing this since they have a good bit more money than Mazda does. I’d imagine the development of the CX90 ate into Mazdas bank quite a bit
@@faheemabbas3965 I think there's room. The Land Cruiser has much more widely available full-time 4WD than the 4Runner, which only offers it in the Limited trim. They're slotting another SUV in between the 4Runner and GX550 and I think they can pull that off
We are probably gonna get some 2.4l turbo charged crap in the new 4runner, it's what the new Tacoma has. The 4runner is bound to get it too, hoping for something just in between the land cruiser and sequoia in size. And a better 3rd row, that row is so tight in the current models I wouldn't even recommend a kid back there 😂
This is why i am getting an RS3 now, theyll eventually kill that like the R8 and TTRS

I really hope that kia can work out some of their reliabilty issues with this new k4 by ditching the dct.
I somehow sad he didn't have a dring for the R8. That car is iconic and did a lot for the supercar market in my opinion. Pre 5 oclock be dammed! Could have a least lied to me a taken of shot of apple juice.

Long time subscriber here. I know other channels are starting their own car news episodes recently; however, I will always listen here first. I have always loved these videos since you started doing them and look forward to them every week.
If you spin around four times and squint real hard, the Kia K4 looks like the refreshed Elantra in the front end and a little bit in the rear. You have to squint tho. We lost the i30, ergo the Elantra GT, and so we gained the hatch version of this. Given the similar design language shared by Hyundai/Kia, maybe a foreshadow of what the next gen Elantra (and more interestingly, Elantra N) may look like.

I got a g70 and love that G80 magma, absolute bummer its not coming to America… hopefully they do a G70 magma or release the coupe they’ve been teasing for years, because I’m ready to get one
I see a future for v6 and v8 engines in the form of small displacement hybrids. With the gap in torque filled by the electric motor, they can Rev to the moon and satisfy those of us that love the sound of a well tuned exhaust pipe.
It would certainly be better than nothing. Maybe Ford will keep their V8 around in the form of a hybrid 4.0L or something.

Dodge had/has a four door charger/challenger... should Ford do a four door Mustang to compete? Should General Motors relaunch the Camaro as a four-door using the Cadillac CTS4/5 as a base platform?
The question seems a little out of the blue (unless I missed something in the video). But the answer is: No. Dodge had the 4-door musclecar for, what, 15 years - why would Ford need to make a 4-door musclecar NOW? If anything, Ford now has less competition as it's the only muscle-coup in town, so it's all good.
Should GM re-launch Camaro as a 4-door? No. As you pointed out, they already have performance sedans - why waste money designing different visuals on a type of car that is in decline in popularity? How many would they sell, especially knowing that some of the buyers would have probably bought CTS if had no choice anyway. And then we're talking about tarnishing the legendary name: most people who CARE about the name "Camaro" want it as a coup; others who'll want a sedan -- do you really think people who are in the market for a performance sedan go "I don't want a Cadillac... What I want is a Chevrolet sedan that bears a name of a coupe!". What they SHOULD do is bring back Camaro that's true to what Camaro is when they're ready.

Matt it was confirmed to me today by a high-ranking Ford official that there will be a GT500 and it should probably be shown off on April 17th but it'll be a 2025 to be the 60th year of the Shelby Cobra

Hatch back K4 looks ok, but the sedan is a no go. The back half does not look good. Looks like a mini crossover that is not sure of itself. The drop in power is connected to the change to the standard auto.

A new 4Runner?! What universe are we living in, lol. Super excited to see what they come up with, although I'm worried about the powertrain options. Would be INCREDIBLE if they released a stick shift option but I'm incredibly doubtful of that. Not sure where this will really fit given the new LC250 that was announced unless there is a major price disparity or they have a super-stripped down model available.
Don't like the new Forte. The rear and the front don't talk to each other.

Kia is trying so hard with that interior lol. The whole car looks nice but you’d have to pay me to drive a Kia lol.

Seconded. As an auto-enthusiast, I couldn't care less about them and it's weird to see half the video here talk about these cars. Again, I'm pretty sure most Kia/Hyundai buyers don't go watch Matt Maran's car news.
@@night5091 Product selling and people caring about them are two different things. I have a Samsung phone - I don't care about it. It's just a telecommunications device, I don't give an s* - it was cheap, had basic features one has to have in this day and age, and that's that. To add insult to injury, I kinda hate Samsung company, but I'd rather choose this evil than buy from a Chinese company (or the hipster Apple). I don't follow the phone news or anything like that. So even though I contributed to their sales numbers, I don't care about the company or the phone. I bet that's how most people who buy Kia/Hyundai are with regards to cars. So no, I don't think people who buy these brands CARE about them IN GENERAL.
