You said you were gonna show us a tip we at home could use to find our cleanout. How many of us here at home do you think have giant camera snakes dude? This doesn't help me at home find a cleanout. With that being said I will also say you and ur bro are the sh¡+. Ur guys videos have actually helped me a lot over the better part of a decade now so thank u both very much.
You can call your local sewage and water board and ask for house connection clean out... They'll supply you with the measurements from your property line for free
I wanted to know where my sewer lateral is to avoid planting a tree too close to it or over it. There is know cleanout in the yard. Neither my town or sewer company could give me any information to help me locate the line. This is St. Louis County, MO.

i don't think people search RUclips videos to watch one that basically says...' call a plumber '. That title is pretty damn close to click bait, but I think I've come up with a way better cheaper, faster plan for the real DIYer...... ( if it works.... will try out tomorrow ). Not even sure I have a cleanout, but if I do, I think it would only be under a couple of inches of dirt like my neighbor's. I bought a 60" ground probe from Home Depot to search for actual drain line near foundation of my house, but I still have no idea where to look and I learned probing a couple feet in Texas expansive clay will wear you out quick. I am still working with the city, but i am not sure anyone over there has any kind of map to help me. Probing two feet is ridiculous when you have little idea where to look and drain line may be even deeper than you are probing. The clean out is a much better search as you only have to make light pokes, but once again if you have no idea where it is in your yard, you could be looking all day.
SOLUTION think bed of nails turned upside down. with a rope attached so you can pull it back up after each search. Will make a video if it works and link it here.

It’s very unlikely. There are often times a easement where a city sewer line runs through multiple properties.
Better title- how overpriced plumbers (not regular people) find buried sewer cleanouts.
A camera and locator can cost around $10,000. Professional plumbers are not over priced, to the contrary they are priced accordingly in regards to their over head.

I know this is old, but dang.. Would of been a good video if not for the title being absolutely misleading. Is that a P trap on the thumbnail to!? OUCH. Not one bit on how to actually find a buried clean out. You had great info on using a vent as a clean out and how to check your piping?! But again, why this title if it's not what your talking about? Glad to see your new videos don't have the volume that blew my ears out! And please, do a video on actualy how to find your clean out? Not pay a plumber to find it, or use a $1,000 locater that none of us who just want to find the dang this out, can't ever afford. Defeats the purpose of watching a video kinda? So where is that second video you said you were going to do by the way? I looked?

Yeah right, a homeowner is going to have a camera and be able to go on a roof? Seriously change the title of your video. No where in the video you were able to locate the "buried" sewer cleanout.
This video is intended to offer a way to locate the sewer utilizing the vents on the roof with a sewer camera. This is a way to locate the underground sewer system/ clean out. Appreciate your feeeback.
