Nephew and I visited Edinburgh in June, we were staying at Seton Sands at the time. It is a gorgeous city, locals were lovely too. We took the time to visit The Royal Yacht Brittania at Ocean Terminal, Leith. Such decadence. I can see why her Majesty The Queen loved it.
Thanks again Stephen for another great vlog if you can't treat yourself at Christmas when can you treat yourself it's a bit pricey but it's not the dearest hotel in Edinburgh i hope you are well and I'm looking forward to the next Edinburgh vlog take care
What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. I always did love Edinburgh it’s got such a special vibe about the place, with its history, architecture and beautiful buildings. I believe it’s known as “The Venice Of The North” if I stand to be corrected. Not visited for a few years now and I’ve not been on the trams before or since my last visit in 2013. The castle is always spectacular in every way. Stunning shops too. Jenner’s used to be the main shop there but I think it’s now closed. I’ve been up Calton Hill and yes the views are fantastic. Stunning hotel room and certainly one to consider next time I’m up there. Great vlog👌

Beautiful hotel well worth pushing the boat out for. Food is expensive most places these days. I've been lucky enough to have either lived or worked all over Britain and Edinburgh is one of my favourite places. Really chuffed you liked it very busy this time of year with none of the transport problems we have as you could tell! Thanks for the video Stephen, it brought back some great memories.😊😊😊

Welcome to our fabulous city. Great video. The Caley Hilton is one of the former British Transport Hotels (as is The Balmoral Hotel with the clock tower at the start of your video). I’ve been doing a series about the BTHs but haven’t done the Caley yet as I live in Edinburgh. The nearest BTH to Blackpool is The Midland Hotel in Morecambe!

I went with my youngest son and we loved it. I had been there as a child and unlike many cities it has remained very much the same thankfully. My older son then got annoyed because he didn’t get to come so with us so I had to go back again with him 😂😂😂but it was divine !

The building you spoke about at the start you were not sure what it was lit up was the original Bank of Scotland HQ, which is now a Museum. The next part you were unsure what it was is the Walter Scott Monument which you can climb to almost the top The stage they were building is for Hongmany (new yrs eve) we have a big concert on in the gardens as well is one of the world's biggest street parties on Princes Street it self. The tower you took a photo is Nelisons Monument which you can also go to the top of

What a breakfast it's big enough to go to work, looking forward to the next walk in day light, I was ask by a local lady in Tenerife "why do Brits have a Brit breakfast when away"? I told her "someone else cooks it and it tastes better" that confused her a bit but that's another story of how she understood in the end. 😋😋😋😋😋

We paid extra to have a day rider ticket, which took us all over the area.
