At 16:57 That’s Annessley Avenue ..my Grandparents moved there to No 77 in 1987 I think 🤔 and I often stayed there and loved the smell of the biscuit factory nearby x x x We could see the top of Blackpool Tower from the back bedroom and from the end of the back garden..which backs onto the cemetery. They’re no longer with us now, but had wonderful memories there, thanks for going this far up 🌈✝️🕊️😇😘🥰😍 God bless you, it feels homely to me x x x They were from Whitworth in Rochdale originally x
My sister once lived in the flat above what is now the Hunstman barbers. Can't remember what it was back then, but I remember the area being rather lively.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpoolthanks for your reply, I don’t get notifications for them so I came back now to see if I had any message back 🤣😂 I wonder if I ever passed your sister round there ❤ we mainly went to the front and back to Grandma and Grandads or Stanley Park when we stayed over x x x
Excellent video Stephen I love the night time walks I love the different places all the lovely houses old and new. Layton looks like a lovely place really enjoyed this video thank you ❤
Thanks again for showing us another part of Blackpool I've only been in Layton once about 30 years ago my uncle had bought a house there to do it up and i went to visit him
Layton is a great little place, somewhat overlooked as an area of Blackpool. The library is indeed still open. The toilets I'm led to believe used to be used as a shelter / tram stop when the tram ran up Talbot road and finished in Layton. We have the Christmas light switch on on the 29th, if only we could get a superstar RUclipsr to document the occasion 🤔
Brilliant video it’s great seeing all the different areas of Blackpool instead of just the centre and prom. Think it will be better for you too at the moment with all the music from the shows. Take care and remember to rest that foot of yours xx
Those houses with the triangle roofs and balconeys are great they look nordic style or kind of swiss its quite a decent area very quiet no wizzing cars no beer monsters 😂😂but its a shame the rovers return isnt on the corner of the street it did look like coronation street on the last road you went down and i think the queens pub would probably do a good carvery on a sunday it looked quite nice id give it a shout and try it youd most probably get a traditional lancashire beer in there on tap loved todays video shame its raining were in for snow tomorrow blackpool is gonna look fantastic if it does snow ❤️👍😊✋
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always Layton looks nice different to Blackpool there's no way I would of gone in the cemetery lol your brave Stephen have a great evening xx
Looks a very nice place to live, liking the houses with the balconies, really classy and they're a lot better looking than Foxhall Didn't see many vape shops compared to Blackpool centre.
Hello Stephen, this is probably a bit of a long shot but I wanted to ask the next time you pop along to the Christmas by the sea could you film yourself on the superbob please, it would be so great to see 😊😊😊
People don't realize Steve that Victorian Cemeteries are history books waiting to be opened, In Bristol we have Arnos Vale commissioned in 1837 first burial 1839 nearly lost a lot of it to greed but was saved and is now run under a trust, (built on a slope just along from Vale Street, driving test nightmare for hill starts) A lot of Grade2 structures and a list of famous people as long as your arm and is still in use, If you go for a wander on a sunny day late spring early summer when the grass is high and full of wild flowers find a spot sit and relax and all you can hear is the buzzing of the bee's and the soft flap of butterfly wings in the breeze because it's dead quite. The word famous in a cemetery is totally different than anywhere else, you have to open that book and look, ok internet but sometimes you can only find it in a local an archive. Graveyards are for the living not just the dead but give them respect.
I'd say without a shadow of a doubt that the Mixed Grill at Tigris Grill is the best in the whole of Blackpool. Period! Timestamp 18:15 In fact the entire menu is superb!
Hi Stephen, who was the Bright Spark that decided to place those benches on the island in the middle of the road, on the main shopping area in Layton ? God forbid if a car ran off the road for whatever reason and hit one of them whilst people are sat there, with no barriers to protect anybody. Even though it might be 20mph with speed bumps, the cars you filmed looked like they were travelling at a good pace. It might never happen, but at least they have several cemeteries there with vacant plots to fill im sure ? Health and Safety forgotten there for once !
Thanks Stephen, that Layton area looks quite nice. Nothing spooky about cemeteries the dead aren't going to harm you, its the living you need to worry about.
I have my own RUclips Chanel called Jacob vs cleveleys but my dad used to live in Layton and my Chanel used to be called Jacob’s tours around Layton and I used to go around Layton
Chickfill used to be kfc layton cemetery is good for stargazers no light pollution. You should have popped in for a brew Steve cody would have made you welcome grrrrr
Layton Institute and the Queens takes me right back. The lovely smell from the biscuit factory. They were the days. Thanks for another great video.

Layton is in Blackpool it's five minutes from the Town centre.
@EstaVessey I know that
Great video love it at night
Best of luck with your channel as always appreciate the videos 👍👍👍
When visiting Blackpool I spend most of my time in Layton, the Layton Rakes that is. 😅
The night resolution of this camera is amazing.
DJI are knocking it out of the park with their products in recent times.
Looks a very nice place to live, liking the houses with the balconies, really classy and they're a lot better looking than Foxhall Didn't see many vape shops compared to Blackpool centre.
@@dianemckill5708 The Layton development is much more desirable than Foxhall, in my book anyway.
Have you done a video about the shipwreck close to ‘Little Bispham’ tram stop? Only just come up here and wondered what it was on the beach.
Yes, I did that way back. One of my earliest videos, I think

Hi Stephen great video as always looks good k layton plenty of shops 😂😂

Could be a very long shot!
On Saturday an uber from the Highfield to town was £1.70 I think it's safe to say premier cabs is finished

Iam here in Blackpool yeah come to Christmas by the see carnt wait to see in the morning.💙
The video quality is very good - new camera?
DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Had it since January.
The new houses on Grange Park are better than the ones on Queen’s Park I think. I used to go to the old boys club on laycock gate in queens town.
I’ll have to check those out.
@ they’re next to the new school on dinmore where the old school used to be. I’ve done a video with them in actually.
Evening the trees look well kept a bit spooky the cemetery have they any beer monsters? 😂 Nice to see plenty of independents till the next one 😊
Layton Road roundabout is where the trams from Talbot Square used to terminate.
I am just playing catch up on your videos Stephen you haven't half been putting them out lately!
Thanks pal. I think they have been daily for about a month now.

unless I missed it Layton had many fast food outlets, but I didn't see a fish and chip shop, which seems strange for Blackpool.
I think the chippy was on Layton Road, but I didn't go that way.
Yeh, I visited the cemetery recently and went looking for a cafe down the shopping street but couldn’t see one.
@@alandavies4027 there was Fishers Plaice on the corner opposite the Jewish cemetery as Stephen turned round, not sure if it was a chippy.
3 chippies in Layton all 3 have been there for a very long time.
Snow 🌨️. in. Stoke on Trent
Anthony
Snowing in Blackpool too!
Always like Leyton station because it means next stop blackers
Thanks Stephen, that Layton area looks quite nice. Nothing spooky about cemeteries the dead aren't going to harm you, its the living you need to worry about.
Whenever I delivered to Burtons the smell always made me feel hungry
I do like the smell
The wild 😜 side of Layton lights
Please stay safe 🙏
Hi Stephen
Large, broad roads and pavements in the shopping area
Only 2 mentions of The Tower? You're slipping Stephen. 😂
Thanks for the vidio stay safe bit ruth over there
The cemetery lady dresses like that all the time, not just for the tours.
Yes, it’s not a costume- just me!
I reall, y enjoy all your videos you take the time to make for us subscribers but when do you take time to sleep?
@@JoanFreeman-c2u Good question lol

Only downfall of walking at night is more chance of stepping in dog poo 💩
Looks nice in the main part of Layton although I'm not sure I'd want to sit on those benches with the traffic passing close by either side
2:21 a walk on the dark side u could say 😂
Too dark Stephen,you lost me.😢😢
